Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is an infection that attacks the body's immune system, more specifically white blood cells called Cluster of Differentiation 4 (CD4) cells. World Health Organization (WHO) data Based on SIHA Ministry of Health data, HIV cases up to March 2022 totaled 466,978 cases. Papua itself is in 5th position after DKI Jakarta 76,103, East Java 71,909, West Java 52,970, Central Java 44,649 and Papua 41,286. Meanwhile, for cases of AIDS sufferers, Papua has the highest number of cases, namely 137,397 people (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020) Research Objectives: To determine the Relationship between Knowledge and Attitudes of Pregnant Women with HIV/AIDS Prevention at the Harapan Health Center. Research Methods: The type of research used is quantitative research using correlation studies. Sampling technique Total sampling of 38 respondents. Results: Data analysis with Multiple Regression test found that there is a relationship between Knowledge and Attitude with the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission from mother to child unit. Conclusion: There is a Significant Relationship between Knowledge and Attitude and Prevention of HIV/AIDS Transmission from Mother to Child.

Abstract

The never-ending problem of HIV AIDS is a phenomenon that deserves to be investigated and followed up by all parties, especially health workers as implementers of prevention, control, and treatment efforts in the health service environment. Method: This study uses a descriptive qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. The number of participants was 5 health workers who work at the Puskesmas Harapan. The research instrument used in-depth interviews, field notes and documentation which were then analyzed by determining keywords, categories and themes. Results: The results of the study found that the experience of health workers in caring for HIV AIDS patients was expressed in the form of empathy, lack of empathy, and fear caused by various other supporting factors such as limited availability of health services and patient non-compliance in ARV treatment. Conclusion : It can be concluded that the experience of health workers needs to get support from various parties including patients, patient families, and health care facilities.

Abstract

The high prevalence of sexually transmitted disease infections resulting in high rates of HIV/AIDS is related to very low preventive behavioral practices. Adolescence is very closely related to psychological development in the puberty period and is accompanied by sexual development. HIV/AIDS cases occur most often in adolescents and young adults. Effective communication between parents and adolescents is used as the main strategy in an effort to increase responsible sexual behavior and minimize risky sexual behavior in adolescents. Objectives to find out the relationship between parental communication and HIV knowledge in students in junior high school The research method used was a correlation analytical description research design with a cross sectional approach with 79 research samples. The sampling method is using the Probability Sampling technique by means of Random Sampling. The analysis test used was the Pearson Test with a significance level of p < 0.005. The results of the study were obtained in the Relationship of Parental Communication to HIV/AIDS Knowledge in Students with a significance value of 0.003 (p value < 0.005) with a correlation value (r) of 0.611 which means a positive correlation with a strong correlation power. Parents have a big role in growth and development, in children's behavior facing puberty, and it is important for parents to build communication with children. Communication between parents and adolescents is a form of parenting process that has an important influence on adolescent sexual behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of nurses in managing anxiety levels in patients with HIV/AIDS: Phenomenological Study in Papua Province. The method used is an exploratory phenomenology approach , data collection with in-depth interviews , determination of participants in this study is purposive sampling . Participants in this study were nurses who treat patients with HIV/AIDS, with the number of participants in this study as many as 3 participants. The results of the study obtained 3 themes, namely anxiety, support from those closest to them, the experience of health workers in providing services. The conclusion of the results of the study obtained 3 themes, namely anxiety, support from family and the experience of health workers. Statements from participants based on the experience of health workers in handling patients with HIV/AIDS that special attention is needed for HIV/AIDS sufferers, especially in terms of carrying out control and consuming drugs.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Wanita hamil dan menyusui (masa nifas) yang hidup dengan HIV merupakan target pencegahan HIV dari ibu ke anak. Penularan HIV biasanya terjadi karena perilaku manusia, yang rentan infeksi. Infeksi HIV adalah sekelompok penyakit yang menular dan merupakan salah satu faktor meningkatkan kematian ibu dan anak. Ibu hamil yang terinfeksi akan malu karena stigma tentang penderita sehingga ada perasaan cemas dan takut untuk melakukan pemeriksaan. Upaya yang dilakukan mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah pemberian edukasi sejak dini mulai dari masa prenatal sehingga saat ibu masuk dalam masa nifas, ibu sudah siap melakukan pengobatan untuk pencegahan penularan HIV dari ibu ke anak. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS dari ibu ke anak guna persiapan persalinan dan masa nifas. Pemberian edukasi menggunakan booklet melalui pendekatan, analisis kondisi wilayah sasaran, dilanjutkan identifikasi masalah, merencanakan intervensi dan melaksanakan implementasi. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi dengan nilai rata-rata sebelum edukasi sebesar 60 dan setelah edukasi meningkat menjadi 77,94. Nilai minimum yang diperoleh sebelum edukasi sebesar 57 dan maximum 70 sedangkan setelah diberikan edukasi dan terjadi peningkatan diperoleh nilai minimum 70 dan maximum 90. Booklet terbukti secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil setelah terjadi peningkatan pengetahauan maka diharapkan dapat merubah sikap ibu hamil untuk melakukan pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS.  Kata Kunci: Edukasi, Pencegahan HIV/AIDS dari Ibu Ke Anak, Booklet, Ibu Hamil  ABSTRACT Pregnant and lactating women (postpartum period) living with HIV are the target of HIV prevention from mother to child. HIV transmission usually occurs due to human behavior, which is susceptible to infection. HIV infection is a group of infectious diseases and is one of the factors that increase maternal and child mortality. Pregnant women who are infected will be ashamed because of the stigma about the sufferer so that there is a feeling of anxiety and fear to undergo examination. Efforts made to overcome this problem are providing early education starting from the prenatal period so that when the mother enters the postpartum period, the mother is ready to undergo treatment to prevent HIV transmission from mother to child. To find out the increase in knowledge of pregnant women about preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS from mother to child in preparation for childbirth and the postpartum period. The method used is providing education using booklets through an approach, analyzing the conditions of the target area, continuing with problem identification, planning interventions and implementing implementation. The results obtained showed an increase in knowledge of pregnant women before and after education with an average value before education of 60 and after education increasing to 77.94. The minimum value obtained before education was 57 and the maximum was 70, while after education was given and an increase occurred, the minimum value was 70 and the maximum was 90. The booklet has been proven to significantly increase the knowledge of pregnant women. After an increase in knowledge, it is hoped that it can change the attitude of pregnant women to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS. Keywords: Education, Prevention of HIV/AIDS from Mother To Child, Booklet, Pregnant Mother.

Abstract

Kepatuhan minum obat antiretroviral (ARV) merupakan faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan terapi HIV/AIDS. Di Puskesmas Sentani, Kabupaten Jayapura, Papua, masih ditemukan tantangan dalam menjaga konsistensi konsumsi ARV oleh pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan pasien HIV/AIDS terhadap terapi ARV serta efektivitas edukasi mandiri dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kepatuhan pasien. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik random sampling terhadap 59 responden yang menjalani terapi ARV. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepatuhan yang rendah yaitu sebanyak 55 responden 93,2 % dari total 59 responden. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa harus ada edukasi mandiri lebih lanjut untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan kepatuhan pasien. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan program edukasi dan dukungan sosial sebagai strategi peningkatan kepatuhan terapi ARV di fasilitas layanan kesehatan primer.
