Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the role/contribution of farmer groups in supporting food production in North Sinjai District, and (2) determine the level of farmer satisfaction with the role of farmer groups in achieving food security in North Sinjai District. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained through questionnaires and in-depth interviews, using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Consumer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis techniques. The IPA analysis results indicate that the performance of farmer groups exceeded farmers' expectations, with a conformity score of 114.8%. The CSI score of 71.34% indicates a high level of farmer satisfaction with the role of farmer groups. The results indicate that the role of farmer groups in North Sinjai District has been effective. This finding indicates that farmer groups not only meet but also exceed farmers' expectations in supporting food production and strengthening food security at the local level.

Abstract

Business owners need to consider various important factors so that their businesses can survive and thrive amid increasingly intense competition. The purpose of this study is to examine these factors in the context of the local coffee shop Kedai Duapertiga in Sinjai Regency. This research was conducted at Kedai Kopi Duapertiga, located on Jln. Cengkeh, Balangnipa Village, Sinjai Regency, from February to May 2025. This research is quantitative in nature with an associative approach. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that partially, product quality and service quality have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. However, price does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, the three variables still have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 74.3%, indicating that the independent variables explain 74.3% of customer satisfaction, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of digital marketing through Instagram, specifically focusing on the variables of content and timing, on consumer purchasing decisions at Kedai Kopi Duapertiga. The research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The results show that the content variable has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). In contrast, the timing variable does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, with a significance value of 0.727 (p > 0.05). Simultaneously, the regression model consisting of content and timing significantly influences purchasing decisions, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.308. This indicates that 30.8% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 69.2% is influenced by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

The marketing strategy of Dua Putra oyster mushroom business still faces obstacles in marketing its oyster mushroom products, as farmers only sell them to traders and consumers who are still local communities. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of the Two Sons Oyster Mushroom Business in Gunung Perak Village, West Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency, using a SWOT analysis approach. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, distribution of questionnaires to 5 respondents, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the internal factors that are strengths in the Dua Putra oyster mushroom business are that the oyster mushroom products are of good quality and able to compete in the local market, while the main weaknesses of the Dua Putra oyster mushroom business are that the mushroom products spoil quickly and the production facilities are still simple. External factors show that the biggest opportunity for the Dua Putra oyster mushroom business is that oyster mushrooms can be processed into derivative products, so that they do not only sell raw oyster mushrooms, but they still need to be aware of business threats such as the difficulty of obtaining raw materials. The results of the IFAS and EFAS calculations show that the scores are 1.958 and 0.628, respectively, placing the Dua Pura Oyster Mushroom Business in Quadrant I of the SWOT matrix, meaning it is in an aggressive strategy position.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze consumer preferences for purchasing leafy vegetables at the Central Market in North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency. Consumer preferences (X) are measured based on the attributes of freshness, cleanliness, texture, and price. These variables serve as independent variables, while purchasing decisions (Y) serve as the dependent variable. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach using Fishbein analysis.The results show that overall consumer preferences have a preference score (Ao) of 20.63, indicating a positive consumer attitude toward leafy vegetables at the market. Individually, freshness has the highest preference score (21.11), followed by cleanliness (20.65), price (17.75), and texture (17.01). Thus, it can be concluded that freshness is the most dominant aspect influencing consumer preferences and purchasing decisions. This indicates that consumers at Sinjai Central Market prioritize the physical quality of the product, which can be seen and felt directly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the internal factors, external factors, and marketing strategies of Arabica coffee UMKM in west Sinjai district, Sinjai Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative with observation, interview, and questionnaire techques to obtain data. The results of the study indicate that the Arabica coffee UMKM has implemented a marketing mix marketing strategy using 7Ps, namely Product, Price, Place, People, Process, Physical Evidence. And after conducting a SWOT analysis, this UMKM is in quadran I, which is a very profitable position, because at this time the UMKM PT. Namacca Bersinar Management has opportunities and strengths that can be utilized. This can be seen based on the value weight through the IFAS and EFAS matrices, where the internal factor strength has a greater value weight of 1.98 compared to the weakness value weight of 1.35. And external factors include opportunity and threats where in this external factor the opportunity position has a weight value of 1.47, this shows that the opportunity weight value is greater than the weight value of threats.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of an agricultural extension program in Batu Belerang Village and its impact on the empowerment of farmer groups. A quantitative survey of 83 respondents showed that program implementation was running well, characterized by the appropriateness of objectives, adequate resources, coordination, and commitment of implementers. Regression analysis demonstrated that program implementation (X2) had a positive and significant influence as the dominant factor on empowerment. Simultaneously, the independent variables had a significant influence with an Adjusted R² of 0.237, meaning that 23.7% of the variation in empowerment was explained by the model. The impact was seen in improved decision-making, member activity, and the implementation of innovations. In conclusion, the quality of program implementation is key to the success of empowerment. Therefore, improvements in planning, frequency of extension, and support for facilities and technology are needed for more optimal and sustainable results.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing the participation of PKK members in Aska Village in the development of the Orchid Smallholder Business Group (KUB Anggrek), a stagnant joint business producing banana stem crafts in Sinjai Regency. The results indicate that member participation is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include motivation and self-awareness, education level, time management (limited by dual roles as housewives), and skills and experience. External factors include family support, access to information, community support and social climate, village government support, and limited market access and member mobility. These findings indicate that KUB development requires not only increasing the capacity of individual members but also creating a supportive external environment, particularly in terms of market access, institutional support, and mobility infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of farmer groups in increasing corn productivity in Lembang Lohe Village. Farmer groups function as learning classes, production units, and vehicles for cooperation. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with 80 respondents determined using the Slovin formula from a population of 695 farmers. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that farmer groups significantly affect the increase in corn productivity. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) is 0.595, indicating that farmer groups explain 59.5% of the variation in corn productivity, while 40.5% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, farmer groups play an important role in enhancing corn productivity in Lembang Lohe Village. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income and financial feasibility of the palm sugar business in Bonto Katute Village, Sinjai Borong District. The research method used was a survey with a quantitative approach. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 47 palm sugar farmers who already possess a Halal Certificate. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, while the financial feasibility was analyzed using the Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C) indicator. The results of the study show that the average net income received by palm sugar farmers is IDR 2,506,154 per month. Based on the feasibility analysis, this business obtained an R/C Ratio value of 2.37. This value indicates that for every IDR 1 of cost incurred, it generates a revenue of IDR 2.37. Therefore, it can be concluded that the palm sugar business in Bonto Katute Village is highly feasible to be pursued and developed.
