Abstract

This study was conducted by low level of student understanding of the five grade towards the material properties of light that caused low student learning outcomes. The main factor is teacher centered learning. To solve this problem, the writer designed a lesson plan by applying Children Learning in Science (CLIS). The CLIS learning model is student centered where the students are actively involved in the learning process through hands-on/minds on activities. This research is a classroom action research using Kemmis and Taggart design. There was an increase in each cycle, the cycle I students complete 19 people or 51.4%, the cycle II students complete 30 people or 81.1%, and the cycle III as many as 36 students or 97.3%. Thus, through the application of CLIS learning model can improve students’ learning outcomes of five grade on the material properties of light.

Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi pembelajaran IPS pada materi kenampakan alam dan sosial budaya di Kelas IV SDN Pasanggrahan 1 Kecamatan Maja-Majalengka, pembelajaran berfokus pada guru dan aktivitas siswa hanya duduk mendengarkan guru  sehingga motivasi belajar siswa sangat rendah dan sulit memahami materi  yang disampaikan, terlihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang kurang memuaskan. Upaya untuk mengatasinya dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Menggunakan metode  Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan desain penelitian Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, obervasi dan refleksi. Menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi kinerja guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, catatan lapangan , tes hasil belajar dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian terselesaikan sebanyak 3 Siklus, dengan perolehan hasil akhir  tahap  perencanaan sebesar 100%, tahap pelaksanaan sebesar 100%,  aktivitas siswa sebesar 95,78%  dan hasil belajar sebesar 89,65%, simpulannya model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kenampakan alam dan sosial budaya.Kata Kunci    : Model Kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together, Hasil belajar, Kenampakan alam dan sosial budaya

Abstract

This research based on the results of preliminary observation on learning natural science in class V SDN Cinangsi, it is known that student learning outcome on the material nature of light is still very low. This is because the teachers only used lecture methods in performing learning. Therefore, this research is conducted by applying learning cycle model on the material nature of light. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK). This research used design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Instruments used in the research are guidance of teacher planning and performance observation,  guidance of student activity observation, interview guidance, notes field format, and evaluation questions. Student learning outcomes when preliminary data only reached 22.6%, cycle I achieve 54.8%, cycle II 80.6%, and cycle III reach 94%. Thus, can be concluded that the learning cycle model can improve the learning outcom of students on material nature of light.

Abstract

Research in class V SDN Sukahati background on the lack of understanding of students on the material, and the implementation of less learning to arouse students' interest to learn. Efforts to fix the problem by applying the Discovery learning model. The problem is corrected through Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research design model Kemmis and Taggart. Instruments used include teacher performance observation sheets, student activities, student learning outcomes, interview guides, and field notes. This study was completed in three cycles. The data obtained in the planning cycle 84%, 92.2% cycle II, and 100% cycle III. At the implementation of 83% cycle I, 90.5% cycle II, and 100% cycle III. Furthermore student activity in cycle I 62,14%, cycle II 86,9%, and at cycle III 90,2%. Then the result of study from 34 students, on cycle I as many as 17 students (50%) complete, cycle II 28 students (82,4%), and cycle III 31 student (91,2%). Thus, the Discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students in science learning on the material style can influence the motion of objects, so that the student learning outcomes become low. So it needs an effort to fix the problem. One attempt to improve it is to apply the inquiry learning model. This study aims to find out how the picture of inquiry learning model to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes, on the material style can affect the motion of objects. The subjects of this study were 22 students of grade IV B SD Negeri Padasuka 1, Kec. North Sumedang, Kab. Sumedang. This research has succeeded in improving motivation and student learning outcomes on the material style can influence the motion of objects in class IV B SD Negeri Padasuka 1. This can be seen motivation and student learning outcomes from continuously increases in each cycle.

Abstract

Classroom action research using guided inquiry is motivated by problems in learning process and critical thinking ability of class V students. The purpose of this research is to know and explain the process of learning and improvement of critical thinking skills of students using guided self in water cycle materials. Guided inquiry has five stages of learning. The critical thinking skills of the students in this research are 5 indicators: simple explanation, building basic skills, concluding, giving further explanation, and managing strategy and tactics. The design of classroom action research in this study is a design developed by Kemmis Taggart consisting of three cycles. Participants of this research are students of grade V in Elementary School of Cimalaka II. The findings of this study show students' critical thinking skills have improved in each cycle. The mean score of the student's test result is 57,5 on cycle I, 70,4 on cycle II and 80,4 in cycle III. The conclusion of this research is the learning by using guided inquiry to improve the students' critical thinking skill.

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini mengenai kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa sebagai akibat dari pembelajaran PBL. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan pemilihan sampel melalui cara purposive sampling. Sampel yang diambil adalah kelas IV di SDN Paseh 2 dan SDN Legok 1. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar, angket terbuka, lembar observasi keaktifan siswa dan kinerja guru, serta catatan lapangan. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji Wilcoxon, uji Mann Whitney, uji Gain dan analisis data deskriptif. Analisis data ditinjau berdasarkan data keseluruhan hasil tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut diperoleh 1) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan menggunakan model PBL, 2) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model PBL, 3) kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan menggunakan model PBL lebih baik daripada menggunakan model konvensional, 4) terdapat faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa.Kata kunci: Model Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif

Abstract

Concept which exsist in natural science learning will easier understood by students if the concept followed by experiments to proved about the concept. Emphasize the Science Process Skill, for maximizing students petential mixed up with discovery learning process. Learning models which support Science Process Skill was discovery model learning. This research method applying was pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttes design. The purpose of this research to checked the improved Science process Skill with applying discovery model learning toward students skill at advanced group, middle-group, and menial group. Population was fifth grade students about Cimalaka Subdistriction Sumedang Regency. Sample is Margamukti Elementaru School. Instruments were KAIPA test, Science Process Skill test, teacher and students activity observation, questionnaire, and interview. Result found that applying discovery model improved students Science Process Skill at advance group, middle-group, and menial group. Had different improved Science Process Skill between advance group, middle group, and medial group.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observations conducted on grade 3 students of a sindangraja state primary school obtained a problem, that is on the learning. The method used in this study is a classroom action research with references to the spiral model of kemmis and taggart. The subjek of this research is at grade 3 a sindarngraja state primary school as many as 24 students this research is done 3 cycles because the target of research is reached in cycle 3. As for the target that is for determined is 85% for students learning result, while for 90% for students’s activities and teacher’s performance. The data obtained in research process, that is, the teacer’s performance. Earned in 77% in cycle 1, 91% in cycle 2, and 95% in cycle 3. While the students’s activities  ot cycle 1 65%, on cycle 2 80%, and 95% in cycle 3. Learning outcomes at cycle 1 48%, on ccle 2 79%, and on cycle 3 87.5% . based on the data obtained in the research process, there has been an increase in student learning outcomes. It proves that the application of inquiry learning model can improve students learning outcomes.
