Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy and implementation of Islamic personality development through the internalization of religiosity values in Madrasah Aliyah Dakka, Bangladesh. By examining the educational approaches used, this study explores the extent to which Islamic values are internalized into students' personalities and their impact on their daily behaviour. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as participatory observation and analysis of curriculum documents. The results of the study show that the internalization of religiosity values in Madrasah Aliyah Dakka is carried out through various strategies, including teaching that focuses on a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, extracurricular activities that reinforce Islamic values, and a school environment that supports the application of these values. The students involved showed significant improvements in aspects of Islamic personality, such as discipline, honesty, and social responsibility. The novelty of this study lies in the emphasis on a holistic approach to the development of Islamic personality that not only focuses on cognitive but also emotional and social aspects. This research has made a significant contribution to the development of an effective and relevant Islamic education model in the modern context, especially in Bangladesh. The implications of this study suggest that a comprehensive and structured coaching strategy can produce individuals with strong Islamic personalities, which in turn can contribute to the development of a more harmonious and civilized society.

Abstract

Youth radicalization presents serious threats to the peace and stability of society, particularly in educational environments. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Student-Centered Learning (SCL) at Islamic Junior Schools functions as a deterrent to radicalization. Critical thinking, inclusivity, and active student involvement are all promoted by SCL and are essential in lowering a person's vulnerability to extreme views. This study investigates the use of SCL in promoting an inclusive learning environment through a qualitative method that includes teacher and student interviews. The results show that SCL encourages critical thinking and respect for one another, assisting students in interacting with a range of perspectives and fending off extreme influences. However, obstacles including insufficient training for teachers and a lack of resources prevent SCL from reaching its full potential in counter-radicalization initiatives. To optimize the effectiveness of SCL as a preventive measure against radicalization, the study emphasizes the necessity of professional growth and institutional support. Educational officials and organizations hoping to establish more secure and welcoming learning environments should take note of these findings.

Abstract

This study aims to explore family strategies in educating children in the 5.0 era from the perspective of multicultural Islamic education, focusing on efforts to build a generation with character. The 5.0 era is marked by rapid technological developments and digitalization, which affects family parenting and the value system taught to children. In the context of multicultural Islamic education, Islamic values and cultural diversity must be managed in harmony to produce a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has strong moral character, such as tolerance, empathy, and integrity. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with families from diverse cultural backgrounds, observations, and analysis of documents related to children's education from the perspective of Islam and multiculturalism. The data obtained were analyzed thematically to understand the educational patterns applied in the family, as well as the challenges and solutions that emerged in educating children in the 5.0 era. The results of the study show that the family plays an important role in integrating religious and cultural values into children's education. The multicultural approach to Islamic education provides flexibility for families to instil universal values such as justice, togetherness, and respect for differences. In this case, technology is used as a supporting tool to reinforce learning, although prudent parental supervision is still needed. The originality of this research lies in the combination of the concept of Islamic and multicultural education in the context of the 5.0 era, which has not been explored in depth in academic studies. The implications of this study provide insight for educators and policymakers to design educational programs based on multicultural Islamic values, to build a resilient generation to face global challenges.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the existence of Islamic law in Indonesia in the millennial era in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the perspective of Maqashid Sharia. Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework used is the theory of Maqashid Syariah Al-Ghazali and Al-Shatibi which emphasizes the five main aspects of protection: religion, soul, intellect, heredity, and property. Literature Review: This review is based on a literature review that includes the development of Islamic law in Indonesia, its relevance to the goals of the SDGs, and the relevance of Maqashid Syariah as a conceptual framework to bridge between sharia principles and modern needs. Methods: The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach. Data was obtained through the analysis of documents, such as Islamic law regulations in Indonesia, public policies related to the SDGs, and the latest scientific articles. The analysis was carried out in a descriptive-analytical manner to evaluate the contribution of Islamic law to social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Results: This study shows that Islamic law in Indonesia, such as zakat, waqf, and sharia financing, has contributed significantly to poverty alleviation (SDG 1), improvement of quality education (SDG 4), and reduction of inequality (SDG 10). The Maqashid Sharia approach allows Islamic law to continue to be relevant in facing the challenges of the millennial era, especially through adaptation to digital technology and inclusion-based economic development. Implications: This study shows that the strengthening of Islamic law based on Maqashid Sharia can be a unique and contextual model of sustainability for Indonesia. This result also encourages legislation and public policy to further integrate Islamic values in efforts to achieve the SDGs. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in the merger of Islamic law, Maqashid Sharia, and SDGs in the context of the millennial era. This study offers a new perspective on how Islamic law is not only relevant but also instrumental in supporting the global development agenda while maintaining sharia principles. This integration provides a strategic framework for the development of Islamic law in Indonesia in supporting holistic and inclusive sustainability.

These reforms include improving financial literacy on Islamic banking, streamlining regulations, and strengthening the operational capacity of financial institutions. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in its integrated analysis of the social, cultural, and economic dimensions of Islamic banking in Rajshahi and its strategic recommendations for maximizing its contribution to sustainable development. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and researchers in fostering a robust and inclusive Islamic banking system, ensuring it becomes a key pillar of regional economic development.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the phenomenon of forced marriage, particularly the practice of Paneta Mawinne or arrest marriage, among the Sumba tribe in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The study specifically examines this practice through the lens of Islamic law, analyzing whether such cultural customs align with or contradict Islamic legal principles. The research adopts a qualitative approach using secondary data collected through literature reviews from credible sources. Data were gathered over several months from academic journal articles, online news outlets, and social media platforms, including relevant videos that document the practice. The analysis focuses on Islamic jurisprudence regarding marriage, which emphasizes mutual consent, justice, and the absence of coercion. Findings indicate that Paneta Mawinne involves significant elements of force and lack of consent, especially on the part of the bride, which is fundamentally incompatible with the principles upheld in Islamic law. Islamic teachings require the voluntary agreement of both parties in a marriage contract, making any form of coercion a violation of Sharia. The originality of this study lies in its intersectional analysis, combining anthropological insights with Islamic legal evaluation to assess a localized cultural practice. By highlighting the contradiction between local customs and Islamic values, this research contributes to broader discussions on cultural relativism, religious norms, and human rights. Ultimately, it calls for greater awareness and legal clarity to ensure that traditional practices do not undermine individual autonomy and religious ethics in Muslim communities.
