Abstract

Inadequate of schools and educators is less than optimal in implementing character education and the values contained in the Pancasila principles into learning at school or personal habituation. Implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile is less than optimal. This research aims to examine the implementation of religious values in the profile of Pancasila students in elementary schools in Madura. The type of research chosen in this research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The aim is to describe the implementation of Religious Values in the Pancasila Student Profile in Madura. This research was conducted at several elementary schools on Madura Island, including: SDN Gili Anyar 1 Bangkalan, SDN Kamal 2 Bangkalan, SDN Buddagan 2 Pamekasan, SDN Blumbungan 3 Pamekasan. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of religious values is carried out through activities (a) praying after and completing learning (b) memorizing short surahs before starting lessons (c) listening to chants of the holy verses of the Koran every Friday during learning activities (d) commemorating Islamic holidays (e) celebration of santri day by wearing Muslim dress.

Abstract

This study aims to explore elementary school teachers’ readiness and challenges in implementing local wisdom-based science learning through interactive pop-up book media. Contextual science learning that integrates local culture requires adequate teacher readiness in pedagogical competence, professional skills, and instructional media development. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants were elementary school teachers in Madura, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that most teachers possess conceptual awareness of the importance of integrating local wisdom into science learning; however, their practical readiness remains limited. Major challenges include insufficient skills in developing instructional media, limited time, lack of hands-on professional training, and inadequate institutional support. Interactive pop-up book media is perceived as highly potential to support local wisdom-based science learning, yet its implementation requires continuous teacher professional development and supportive school policies. This study recommends systematic capacity-building programs to enhance teachers’ competencies in developing and implementing innovative, culturally responsive science learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to develop STEM-based science learning devices integrated with Madurese local wisdom through interactive pop-up book media for elementary school students. The background of this study is the limited use of contextual learning resources and innovative media in elementary science instruction, which affects students’ engagement and conceptual understanding. This research employed a Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed learning devices included teaching modules, interactive pop-up books, student worksheets, and assessment instruments. The validation results from material experts, media experts, and learning experts indicated that the learning devices were highly valid. Student responses showed a very positive perception of the learning process, and learning outcomes improved after the implementation of the developed devices. The integration of STEM principles with Madurese local wisdom—such as coastal ecosystems, salt production, and fishermen’s activities—made science learning more meaningful and contextual. Therefore, the developed STEM-based science learning devices integrated with local wisdom are feasible and effective for use in elementary school science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' mathematics learning outcomes in mathematics sentence material in grade III of SDN Ragung 1. The type of research used was a pseudo-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that was given the PBL model treatment and the control class that used conventional learning. Data collection was carried out through pretest and posttest tests as well as observation of learning implementation. Based on the results of data analysis with the peered sample t-test, it was found that there was a significant difference between student learning outcomes in the experimental and control classes, with a significance value of < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model has an effect on improving students' mathematics learning outcomes in mathematics materials in grade III of SDN Ragung 1.

Abstract

Abstract

Integrating natural potential into learning can support programs to achieve learning completion and increase environmental awareness. Integrated science learning must be supported by several things such as Pop-Up Book. The research aimed to (1) analysis of the integration of Madura salt potential into Natural Resources and Conservation material for grade 4 elementary school in the form of Pop-Up books (2) analysis of student learning activities using Pop-Up books Madura’s Salt Potential. The research was conducted by analysing learning materials to be able to integrate the Madura’s salt potential through pop-up book. Data instruments used for observed the learning activities was observation sheets in learning activities. The research using the material carried out in 4 times at school. From the research obtained related to the competency analysis carried out to integrate Madura Salt Potential through Pop-Up Books on the material of Natural Resources and Their Conservation. The results obtained were that the material of Natural Resources and Their Conservation can be integrated with Madura salt potential. Learning activities by integrating Madura Salt Potential through Pop-Up Books increased from the 1st day, which was 92% for the 2nd day to the 4th day, which was 96%. This shows that students can integrate Madura Salt potential through Pop-Up Books
