Abstract

This paper will map out the professional competencies that Indonesian Language and Literature teachers must possess. The professional competence is mapped based on Permendiknas Attachment no. 16 of 2007 on the standard of Academic Qualification and Teacher Competence that is mastering material, structure, concepts, and intellectual mindset related subjects that taught. The competencies are spelled out in the following points: to understand the concepts, theories, and the linguistic material. Linguistic understandings related to the development of language learning materials, understanding the nature of language and language acquisition, understanding the position, function, and variety of Indonesian language, mastering the basics of Indonesian language as a reference to the use of Indonesian language is good and true, have the skills to speak Indonesian (listening, speaking , reading and writing). Meanwhile, literary understanding is related to understanding the theory and genre of Indonesian literature and able to appreciate the Indonesian literature receptively and productively.  Various competencies are expected to produce a professional teacher of Indonesian Language and Literature that makes learning Indonesian Language and Literature to be ideal.

Abstract

The curriculum implemented in Indonesian education has undergone several changes. This is because education changes from time to time to match with the changes in the context of the era. One of the changes highlighted in the curriculum is materials for Indonesian language. Curriculum 2013 is currently ratified to replace the previous one, school unit based curriculum. Why is it so? This study tries to investigate the implementation of teaching learning process of Indonesian language in junior high school of SMP Islam Al-Syukro Universal. This is a case study, using qualitative method. The result of study reveals that school-based unit curriculum has been implemented in SMP Islam Al Syukro Universal, particularly in the teaching of Indonesian language. This is materialized in the lesson plans and the teaching learning process, covering learning objectives, the material presented, the methods used, and evaluations models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini yaitu berawal dari keterlambatan bicara yang terjadi pada anak usia 10 tahun. Bahasa adalah  system lambang bunyi yang arbiter yang dipergunakan oleh para anggota kelompok sosial untuk bekerja sama, berkomunikasi dan mengidentifikasi diri. Akan tetapi ketika berbicara tentang seorang yang mengalami keterlambatan berbicara, perkembangan tentang keterlambatan berbicara ini sangat sensitif terhadap perkembangan di bidang lain, yaitu psikologi, emosional, dan keadaan sekitarnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap beberapa faktor penyebab keterlambatan berbicara, kasus gangguan Bahasa dan mengetahui penyebab keterlambatan berbicara yang dialami oleh anak usia 10 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif jenis studi kasus.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the role of youth in adapting dangdut koplo songs to songs that have da’wah value, and the the relationship between popular culture and religion in the adapted songs. Purposively, this qualitative study relied on some lyrics of dangdut koplo songs adapted by the into more religious ones. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the theory of cultural adaptation, social media, and Roland Barthes’ semiotics. The research found out the youth adapted the lyrics from dangdut koplo into religious dangdut by changing the lyrics with the same arrangement. This was done so that people remained familiar with the dangdut music they enjoyed with a touch of religion. The devotional lyrics were characterized by advice, advocating goodness, encouraging people to stay away from evil, loving the prophet more, and social criticism. Regarding the distribution patterns of the adapted songs, there were two dominant media utilized, YouTube channels and Taklim assembly which was usually done by santri and non-santri youth. This showed that in the process of adaptation and dissemination, the adolescents played as an adaptation agent, distribution agent, and agent of change. The study concluded the adapted religious dangdut koplo songs could be an interesting media in the millennial da’wah.

Abstract

[STUDENT CHARACTER BUILDING THROUGH VARIOUS LANGUAGES ​​IN INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING ACTIVITIES]. This study aims to describe character planting through the variety of languages used in Indonesian language and literature learning activities in schools. Learning activities are activities that are dominated by the delivery of material by the teacher. In delivering the material, the teacher uses a variety of languages. Therefore, the use of various languages can also be used as a way to instill student character. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The location of this research is Triguna Utama Senior High School with the research subjects of class XA on Indonesian Language and Literature learning. The method of data collection was carried out by direct observation in learning activities and in-depth interviews with students and teachers as well as several parties involved in learning activities. Based on the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that in learning activities, the use of formal (formal), consultative, relaxed, and familiar modes are found. The use of various languages by the teacher is able to create various situations and contexts that take place in learning. The variety of languages used can also be used to instill student character both in the classroom environment and outside the classroom. When the teacher uses language with a polite choice of words, students will also follow. Likewise in other contexts when the teacher chooses to use a variety of familiar languages, students will also follow the familiar language choice.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan sebuah studi kasus seorang anak bernama Varisha Naila    Atika yang berusia 4 tahun 6 bulan, bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana kemampuan sintaksis berdasarkan fungsinya dalam hubungan situasi yang terdiri dari kalimat berita, kalimat tanya dan kalimat suruh ketika merespons atau menanggapi kartun kesukaannya yaitu Nussa dan Rara dalam episode Nussa: Jangan Bicara pada media youtube. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan teknik rekaman di telepon, dengan bertanya seputar kartun Nussa dan Rara tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh ada beberapa kalimat yang dihasilkan oleh Atika ketika menjawab atau merespons kartun kesukaannya yakni dari 13 kalimat tanya yang diajukan terdapat kalimat berita yang terdiri dari 7 kalimat, kalimat tanya 5 kalimat dan kalimat suruh 1 kalimat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the pragmatic development of ADHD childdren. Every child who was born, over time experiencing various development, such as motor development, cognitive development, emotional development, up to language development. Children who have Attention Deficit Hiperactivity Disorder (ADHD) have constraints in some of their development, one of them is pragmatic language development. This research utilizes neurolinguistics theory that explain about language and brain. The result that found in this study are ADHD children can’t survive in a conversation because their focus is easily broken, then they tends to make themselves as a center of a communication. ADHD children also have a difficult in formulating speech and tend to be impulsive and always in a hury. Brain disorder, although not in a language area, still affect the pragmatic language development of ADHD children. By knowing the problem about ADHD children’s pragmatic problem, we can knowing the solution for handle it.

Abstract

Pandemic that struck Indonesia made learning activities at all levels of education unable to function as usual. This outbreak makes language learning activities at the university level using a variety of available technologies. However, teachers and learners have their own challenges, one of which is teaching techniques and the use of existing media. The purpose of writing this article is to convey the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning by using various kinds of available technology. This research uses direct action, by interacting with students through the Zoom, Whatsapp, and Google Classroom applications. Data in this study were collected using Google Class applications and Google Docs for collection. Then, the data are analyzed by the researchers to be presented in the discussion. The discussion of the material was carried out by researchers using the Zoom application. Based on research conducted by researchers concluded that two-way communication in language learning is needed. Students still need an interaction process, meaning that it is not enough to provide questions and answers in the Google Class column. The discussion at Zoom makes students able to work on the questions given by the lecturers well. The first cycle obtained unsatisfactory results, where students read the material and work on the questions without getting discussion through the Zoom application. However, the second cycle shows significant results where students have already gotten discussion in the Zoom application. AbstrakPandemi yang melanda Indonesia membuat kegiatan pembelajaran di semua tingkat pendidikan tidak bisa berjalan seperti biasanya. Wabah ini membuat kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa di tingkat universitas menggunakan pelbagai macam teknologi yang ada. Akan tetapi, pengajar dan pemelajar memiliki tantangannya tersendiri, salah satunya teknik pengajaran dan pemanfaatan media yang ada. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk menyampaikan keefektivitasan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan pelbagai macam teknologi yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan tindakan langsung, dengan melakukan interaksi kepada pemelajar melalui aplikasi Zoom, Whatsapp, dan Google Kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan aplikasi Google Kelas dan Google Docs untuk pengumpulannya. Kemudian, data tersebut dianalisis hasilnya oleh peneliti untuk disampaikan di dalam pembahasan. Pembahasan materi dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan menggunakan aplikasi Zoom. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan oleh peneliti disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi dua arah dalam pembelajaran bahasa sangatlah diperlukan. Mahasiswa masih memerlukan proses interaksi, artinya tidak cukup dengan pemberian soal dan jawaban di kolom Google Kelas. Pembahasan di Zoom membuat mahasiswa mampu mengerjakan soal yang diberikan oleh dosen pengampu dengan baik. Siklus pertama didapatkan hasil yang kurang memuaskan, di mana mahasiswa membaca materi dan mengerjakan soal tanpa mendapatkan pembahasan melalui aplikasi Zoom. Akan tetapi, siklus kedua menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan yaitu mahasiswa sudah mendapatkan pembahasan di dalam aplikasi Zoom.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the use of language by teachers and students in bilingual classroom learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) I Ciputat, South Tangerang. This research emerged based on the recent rise in the number of bilingual classes, such as Indonesian, English, and Arabic, which led to the use of learning activities such as code-switching. Based on the analysis, the authors concluded that generally, teachers use two or more languages consisting of Indonesian, foreign (English and Arabic), and regional languages. The use of Indonesian dominates in learning in accordance with the national curriculum, while the use of English dominates in subjects in line with the Cambridge Curriculum. Therefore, the use of foreign languages in these two learning activities aims to familiarize students with the ability to hear and speak foreign languages. These activities tend to improve student’s linguistics competence.

Abstract

Percepatan kemajuan teknologi menjadikan koran atau surat kabar harus besikap adaptif dengan tampil dalam versi daring dan luring. Kolom opini dalam koran adalah medium bagi penulis untuk menyampaikan gagasan besar pemikirannya. Akan ada banyak argumentasi di luar sana, terutama di masa wabah Covid-19, karena hampir seluruh masyarakat dunia terfokus pada hal ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur argumentasi pada kumpulan tulisan yang terdapat kata “Covid-19” di setiap judul kolom Opini di koran Kompas versi daring (13 Juli 2020 – 13 Agustus 2020). Secara garis besar metode penelitian ini disebut deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data bertumpu dengan pengarsipan secara dokumentasi dan penelusuran daring hingga pengkategorian judul artikel. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analysis content. Hasil penelitian yaitu terpilih 10 artikel yang terdapat kata “Covid-19” disetiap judul kolom Opini di koran Kompas versi daring. Adapun kelengkapan unsur-unsur argumentasi kesepuluh tulisan tersebut yaitu kesepuluh artikel telah memenuhi elemen utama unsur-unsur argumentasi yakni claim, data, dan warrant. Namun kesepuluh artikel tidak mendekati kesempurnaan unsur dengan memenuhi elemen pelengkap unsur-unsur argumentasi yaitu backing, qualifer, dan rebuttal
