Abstract

Pandemic that struck Indonesia made learning activities at all levels of education unable to function as usual. This outbreak makes language learning activities at the university level using a variety of available technologies. However, teachers and learners have their own challenges, one of which is teaching techniques and the use of existing media. The purpose of writing this article is to convey the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning by using various kinds of available technology. This research uses direct action, by interacting with students through the Zoom, Whatsapp, and Google Classroom applications. Data in this study were collected using Google Class applications and Google Docs for collection. Then, the data are analyzed by the researchers to be presented in the discussion. The discussion of the material was carried out by researchers using the Zoom application. Based on research conducted by researchers concluded that two-way communication in language learning is needed. Students still need an interaction process, meaning that it is not enough to provide questions and answers in the Google Class column. The discussion at Zoom makes students able to work on the questions given by the lecturers well. The first cycle obtained unsatisfactory results, where students read the material and work on the questions without getting discussion through the Zoom application. However, the second cycle shows significant results where students have already gotten discussion in the Zoom application. AbstrakPandemi yang melanda Indonesia membuat kegiatan pembelajaran di semua tingkat pendidikan tidak bisa berjalan seperti biasanya. Wabah ini membuat kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa di tingkat universitas menggunakan pelbagai macam teknologi yang ada. Akan tetapi, pengajar dan pemelajar memiliki tantangannya tersendiri, salah satunya teknik pengajaran dan pemanfaatan media yang ada. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk menyampaikan keefektivitasan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan pelbagai macam teknologi yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan tindakan langsung, dengan melakukan interaksi kepada pemelajar melalui aplikasi Zoom, Whatsapp, dan Google Kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan aplikasi Google Kelas dan Google Docs untuk pengumpulannya. Kemudian, data tersebut dianalisis hasilnya oleh peneliti untuk disampaikan di dalam pembahasan. Pembahasan materi dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan menggunakan aplikasi Zoom. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan oleh peneliti disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi dua arah dalam pembelajaran bahasa sangatlah diperlukan. Mahasiswa masih memerlukan proses interaksi, artinya tidak cukup dengan pemberian soal dan jawaban di kolom Google Kelas. Pembahasan di Zoom membuat mahasiswa mampu mengerjakan soal yang diberikan oleh dosen pengampu dengan baik. Siklus pertama didapatkan hasil yang kurang memuaskan, di mana mahasiswa membaca materi dan mengerjakan soal tanpa mendapatkan pembahasan melalui aplikasi Zoom. Akan tetapi, siklus kedua menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan yaitu mahasiswa sudah mendapatkan pembahasan di dalam aplikasi Zoom.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the use of language by teachers and students in bilingual classroom learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) I Ciputat, South Tangerang. This research emerged based on the recent rise in the number of bilingual classes, such as Indonesian, English, and Arabic, which led to the use of learning activities such as code-switching. Based on the analysis, the authors concluded that generally, teachers use two or more languages consisting of Indonesian, foreign (English and Arabic), and regional languages. The use of Indonesian dominates in learning in accordance with the national curriculum, while the use of English dominates in subjects in line with the Cambridge Curriculum. Therefore, the use of foreign languages in these two learning activities aims to familiarize students with the ability to hear and speak foreign languages. These activities tend to improve student’s linguistics competence.

Abstract

Percepatan kemajuan teknologi menjadikan koran atau surat kabar harus besikap adaptif dengan tampil dalam versi daring dan luring. Kolom opini dalam koran adalah medium bagi penulis untuk menyampaikan gagasan besar pemikirannya. Akan ada banyak argumentasi di luar sana, terutama di masa wabah Covid-19, karena hampir seluruh masyarakat dunia terfokus pada hal ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur argumentasi pada kumpulan tulisan yang terdapat kata “Covid-19” di setiap judul kolom Opini di koran Kompas versi daring (13 Juli 2020 – 13 Agustus 2020). Secara garis besar metode penelitian ini disebut deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data bertumpu dengan pengarsipan secara dokumentasi dan penelusuran daring hingga pengkategorian judul artikel. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analysis content. Hasil penelitian yaitu terpilih 10 artikel yang terdapat kata “Covid-19” disetiap judul kolom Opini di koran Kompas versi daring. Adapun kelengkapan unsur-unsur argumentasi kesepuluh tulisan tersebut yaitu kesepuluh artikel telah memenuhi elemen utama unsur-unsur argumentasi yakni claim, data, dan warrant. Namun kesepuluh artikel tidak mendekati kesempurnaan unsur dengan memenuhi elemen pelengkap unsur-unsur argumentasi yaitu backing, qualifer, dan rebuttal

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk gangguan fonologis yang terdapat pada tuturan anak penderita cerebral palsy. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah seorang anak penderita cerebral palsy yang sedang menempuh jenjang pendidikan sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) di Yayasan Pembinaan Anak Cacat Jakarta, yaitu HDE yang berusia 18 tahun. Kemudian peneliti menjadikan tuturannya sebagai data pada penelitian ini. Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak libat cakap dan teknik rekam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gangguan fonologis pada tuturan anak penderita cerebral palsy mengalami tiga perubahan bentuk, yaitu penggantian, penambahan, dan penghilangan fonem. Pada bentuk penggantian fonem ditemukan beberapa penggantian fonem, yaitu penggantian fonem /a/ menjadi /i/, /b/ menjadi /g/, /c/ menjadi /k/, /d/ menjadi /j/, /j/ menjadi /g/, /r/ menjadi /h/, /r/ menjadi /l/, /r/ menjadi /y/, /t/ menjadi /k/, dan /u/ menjadi /i/. Pada bentuk penambahan fonem ditemukan beberapa penambahan fonem, yaitu penambahan fonem /ə/, /g/, /h/, /y/, dan /ŋ/. Pada bentuk penghilangan fonem ditemukan beberapa penghilangan fonem, yaitu penghilangan fonem /a/, /b/, /ə/, /h/, /k/, /ɲ/, dan /ŋ/.

Abstract

Salah satu kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa tingkat akhir yaitu menemukan penelitian terdahulu (state of the art). Kesulitan inilah yang membuat mahasiswa menunda karya tulis akhirnya. Bahkan, dari beberapa kasus yang terjadi di UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta banyak mahasiswa yang akhirnya lulus di atas sepuluh semester. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk menyampaikan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan tindakan langsung dan hybrid. Langkah-langkah pelatihan yang dilakukan meliputi: pengenalan Elicit, praktik Elicit, evaluasi pasca penggunaan, dan penilaian terhadap Elicit. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan ini berjumlah 93 orang mahasiswa semester dua. Hasil yang didapatkan di dalam pelatihan ini mahasiswa mampu menggunakan aplikasi Elicit dengan baik. Selain itu, 93 orang mahasiswa yang hadir dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini menyebutkan bahwa aplikasi Elicit mudah untuk digunakan dan dapat menemukan pelbagai kajian terdahulu.The difficulty faced by final-year students is finding previous research similar to previous research. This difficulty makes students delay their final writing. In fact, from several cases at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, many students graduated in more than ten semesters. The purpose of writing this article is to convey the results of community service at the Department of Biology Education, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The training method used is a direct approach. The training steps include: Elicit introduction, elicit practice, post-use evaluation, and assessment of Elicit. Participants in this training activity amounted to 93 second-semester students. The results obtained from this training showed that students could use the Elicit application well. In addition, 93 students who attended this training said that the Elicit application was easy to use and could find various previous studies.

Abstract

Urbanization is seen as having a big role in changing people's attitudes. This happens because during the urbanization period, rural communities experience a transition in behavior, culture, and even religion in the environment where they live. The real problem that occurs in people who have done a lot of urbanization is the loss of their local identity. The tradition that has been followed by the community before urbanization has undergone changes after urbanization. The purpose of writing this article is to examine how the urbanization that is mostly carried out by the people of Tumpukan Village towards the harmonization of inter-religious communities. This research belongs to the descriptive qualitative type using a direct action approach using interviews, recording, and data analysis from local village officials. The results of this study found that the people of Tumpukan Village, despite their different religions, still uphold tribal and kinship loyalty. Their mutual cooperation was evident during the pandemic when many people died from various religions. Those who help with the funeral process view the victims of covid-19 as human beings regardless of their religion. In other words, although there is a lot of urbanization in Tumpukan Village, their sense of gotong royong and locality are not lost. In addition, the village community still adheres to the beliefs inherited from their ancestors as local wisdom that must be maintained regardless of their religion.

Abstract

The pandemic started to hit the world in 2019, making the education system unable to run face-to-face as usual. Islam views this pandemic as something to avoid. Therefore, people were demanded to stay at home. The same thing happened in the world of education, especially in the learning system which was previously changed to an online system (blended learning). Teachers anticipated this system by using several existing media, such as: Zoom, Meet, Google Classroom, and other applications. The purpose of writing this article was to discuss Islamic institutions in dealing with a pandemic in the realm of education for the common good. This study was included in the type of descriptive qualitative study using mixed methods with a questionnaire instrument basis to obtain data and description for data analysis. The data was a questionnaire form and several arguments used as the basis for the analysis in this study. The data was correlated with the education system in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic by observing t the final grades of the Indonesian language course for non-language students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The results show that Islamic law recommends the best efforts to deal with a pandemic. Although UIN Jakarta as an Islamic institution does not seem ready, it is still able to prove resilience in various ways. One of which is optimizing the use of the Academic Information System (AIS) and subscribing to premium zoom for all lecturers. The results of student learning tests using the online method are classified as good from the specified targets. However, significant differences in scores still occur and are quite visible between face-to-face learning and online learning systems.

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu kompetensi professional guru di antaranya menulis karya tulis ilmiah. Namun, penulisan karya tulis ilmiah di kalangan guru mengalami berbagai masalah. Salah satu masalah yang sering terjadi dalam penulisan artikel di jurnal nasional. Banyak guru yang mengalami hambatan dalam penulisan terutama saat mengakses sistem OJS jurnal. Tulisan ini mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana kegiatan peningkatan mutu guru melalui pendampingan penulisan dan publikasi jurnal untuk guru-guru MAN. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, guru-guru diharapkan sudah menguasai OJS dan mampu membuat artikel jurnal. Kegiatan ini melibatkan guru-guru MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong, MAN 2 Kota Malang, MAN 2 Kota Kediri, dan MAN Pekalongan. Kegiatan ini diikuti lima MAN dari pulau Jawa, tetapi MAN 2 Pasuruan tidak aktif mengikuti pengabdian ini. Pengabdian ini menggunakan beberapa tahapan, di antaranya: pengenalan program, pengelompokkan guru berdasarkan keilmuan, pemberian materi oleh narasumber melalui Zoom, dan pembinaan oleh masing-masing dosen pembimbing. Kegiatan evaluasi dilakukan melalui kelompok kecil di dalam grup Whatsapp dengan pembina masing-masing. Setiap tiga orang guru mendapatkan satu pembimbing untuk mengevaluasi perkembangan penulisan setiap guru Dari pelatihan yang diberikan didapatkan guru-guru MAN sangat antusias mengikuti program pendampingan penulisan ini. Selain itu, didapatkan hasil yang cukup memuaskan berupa artikel dari guru yang diterbitkan di jurnal nasional. Sebanyak 22% guru sudah menyelesaikan artikelnya dan disubmit ke jurnal nasional. kemudian, 29% guru sudah menyelesaikan artikel dan siap disubmit. Sebanyak 40% masih dalam proses dan 9% masih di dalam tahap awal pengerjaan (pendahuluan).Abstract: One of the professional competencies of teachers includes writing scientific papers. However, writing scientific papers among teachers experiences various problems. One of the problems that often occurs in writing articles in national journals. Many teachers experience obstacles in writing, especially when accessing the journal OJS system. This paper tries to explain how to improve the quality of teachers through mentoring in writing and publishing journals for MAN teachers. After participating in this activity, teachers are expected to have mastered OJS and be able to create journal articles. This activity involved teachers from MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong, MAN 2 Malang City, MAN 2 Kediri City, and MAN Pekalongan. This activity was attended by five MAN from the island of Java, but MAN 2 Pasuruan was not actively participating in this service. This service uses several stages, including: program introduction, grouping teachers based on knowledge, providing material by resource persons through Zoom, and coaching by each supervisor. Evaluation activities are carried out through small groups in the Whatsapp group with their respective supervisors. Every three teachers get one mentor to evaluate the progress of each teacher's writing. From the training provided, it was found that MAN teachers were very enthusiastic about participating in this writing assistance program. In addition, satisfactory results were obtained in the form of articles from teachers published in national journals. As many as 22% of teachers have completed their articles and submitted them to national journals. then, 29% of teachers have completed articles and are ready to be submitted. As many as 40% are still in the process and 9% are still in the early stages of work (preliminary).

Abstract

This study aimed to look at madrasah's efforts in developing a learning system through "digital learning." This was done by examining the digital learning system implemented at MAN in terms of its advantages and disadvantages. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative, with the data collection techniques employed were direct observation and interviews. Meanwhile, the research location is four MAN in Jakarta and Tangerang area, including. The four madrasahs that became the research locations were MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong (South Tangerang), MAN 1 Tangerang, MAN 4 Jakarta, and MAN 13 Jakarta. The researcher conducted interviews with school parties, namely teachers and principals. The results showed that three madrasahs have well-managed e-learning systems. In this case, they are MAN IC Serpong, MAN 1 Tangerang, and MAN 4 Jakarta. The e-learning system used by each madrasah is E-Learning Madrasah which can be accessed using the web and applications from Play Store. Meanwhile, MAN 13 Jakarta still needs to have its e-learning system and use standard features such as zoom, G-meet, etc. Basically. Madrasahs such as MAN IC Serpong, MAN 4 Jakarta, and MAN 1 Tangerang have registered to utilize the digital learning platform with all the features provided. Meanwhile, MAN 13 Jakarta has yet to register, so it cannot utilize the features contained in the digital learning platform. This research implies that madrasahs have innovated well in digital learning implementation so that learning during the pandemic can run well and smoothly. This research further contributes theoretically and practically to the world of education, especially for madrasas regarded as "second-class" schools. In general, this research contributes to the development of the world of digital learning by providing a valuable platform through the various features provided

Abstract

Religious intolerance is a significant problem in Indonesia. This concern arises along with offline learning activities. Students who were previously limited in their activities can now move freely on campus. The lack of insight into religious tolerance causes new individuals to become intolerant easily. The purpose of this article is to explain how to implement the values of religious tolerance through compulsory general Indonesian language courses. This research belongs to the descriptive qualitative type using a direct-action research approach. The stages of this research were carried out with the introduction of Indonesian language courses, the provision of semester learning plans, discussion of materials 1-13, and the implementation of religious moderation in short writing production material. The discovery learning model used is Jerome Bruner's theory. The media used as an analysis material is the Tanda Tanya film directed by Hanung Bramantyo. Respondents in this study were 105 people taken from various scientific backgrounds at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Random sampling aims to get natural results without any assumption of data manipulation and selection of data sources. This research was conducted in two stages, including first data collection, evaluation, and second data collection. It was found that the students of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta were able to find moderation values in the Tanda Tanya film. A total of 78 students have been able to analyze the meaning of religious moderation. Then, 14 students understood the meaning of moderation contained in the film through the discovery learning model.
