Abstract

One of the efforts in measuring the amount of ecotourism potential is by conducting a series of academic processes in the form of inventory and assessment of ecotourism potential or better known as ecotourism assessment. The Ecotourism Potential Evaluation method used is the theory of Avenzora (2008) to distinguish 7 assessment criteria for each element of ecotourism potential, which is then analyzed using the One Score One Criteria System method. The results of the study show that the Sungsang Ecotourism Area has a relatively high potential for eco-nature tourism and eco-culture tourism; both in terms of the potential for natural phenomena, flora and fauna, as well as material & immaterial heritage.  The results of field studies prove that the various eco-nature tourism owned by the Sungsang Ecotourism Area is classified as relatively high (score 5); while eco-culture tourism is producing a score of 6 or high meaning. There are at least 4 syntheses that can be done in the future: 1) The plan for utilization of ecotourism resources that must be able to avoid the occurrence of over-supply dynamics in the ecotourism supply process; 2) The plan to utilize the diversity of ecotourism resources that should not cause over-exploration or over-exploitation of germplasm or ecosystems; 3) The need for study and application of the carrying capacity of recreation / tourism sites and the carrying capacity of recreation/ tourism destinations; 4) A more comprehensive, systematic and objective study is needed which is mapped and outlined in the Grand Design Document or Ecotourism Master Plan).

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the Tourism Management CHSE Protocol during the Covid 19 Pandemic in the Situ Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park Area. The framework of the approach used in this research was phenomenology, which was then enriched with the data collection techniques of study documentation, observation, and close-ended questionnaire. The analytical method utilized was the One Score One Indicator Scoring System, an analysis model that was used through developing elaboration of questionnaires in collecting data and evaluating various variables that researchers had determined. Then, two critical issues were examined in the polarization analysis to understand the differentiation between actors, namely polarization of direction and rating scale, and then tested statistically using Kruskal Wallis test to know the polarization significance. Overall, based on the assessment of 189 CHSE indicators, the data shows that the implementation of CHSE in Situ Gunung GGPNP results in a reasonable conclusion or score of 6. When viewed based on stakeholder polarization where the data shows there is no polarization of direction between stakeholders on CHSE management at Situ Gunung. Things are different when viewed in terms of average values, where the study results show the polarization of each actor's attitude scale on the CHSE implementation assessment. The aggressive strategy is carried out by optimizing three crucial aspects: 1) Strengthening CHSE Management Policies and Implementation; 2) Optimizing Ecotourism Carrying Capacity.

Abstract

The dynamics of problems related to land occupation, ownership of cultural land, and agricultural land in Indonesia, especially in Ranah Minang, West Sumatra, have become so serious they need to be solved first before trying to achieve the ideals of sustainable development. The research methodology used in this study was a phenomenological approach. The data were analyzed through the One Score-One Criterion Scoring System. The mean values obtained for the phenomenon of cultural land-use patterns in the region were very good in many aspects. On the other hand, the dynamics of stakeholder perceptions, motivations, and preferences did not indicate any directional bias or attitudinal scale among actors over the use of cultural land. This would be different if observed in the dynamics of perception and ecotourism motivation by generating inferences of the direction polarization and attitude scale among actors. The strategy for this purpose was to optimize various aspects of land-use patterns for ecotourism development: 1) strengthening the function of cultural lands as precious treasure; 2) creating a communal business field; 3) optimizing the productivity of agricultural commodities as added value for land users; 4) establishing no-building zones in certain strategic areas as well as providing incentives to land users.

Abstract

Tourist activities in forest areas can potentially disturb wildlife, including bird species. One of the responses to such disturbances is avoidance. This study aimed to investigate and analyze the tolerance levels of various bird species to recreational disturbances in Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, West Java, Indonesia. The method used in this research involved “dummy tourist activities” that varied by the distance tourists walked to the birds, the number of tourists, and the noise made by tourists. The results showed that forest birds had a maximum tolerance distance for tourist activities of around 10 m, while attractive birds had a maximum tolerance distance of around 20 m. The closest distance for tourists to observe all bird species was 5 m. It is concluded that all bird species had avoidance responses to various human or tourist disturbances. Raptors and colorful birds had low tolerance responses; songbirds had a medium tolerance, and forest birds had a high tolerance. Information on the response dynamics of various bird species to recreational activities is useful for creating tourism site planning and landscape design based on ecological wildlife carrying capacity. Abstract

Traditional markets in Jakarta, such as Tanah Abang Market, Jatinegara Market, and Senen Market, have great potential as sustainable tourist destinations. However, these markets face various challenges related to infrastructure, cleanliness, and suboptimal management. This study aims to analyze the potential of traditional markets as tourist destinations and identify factors that influence their attractiveness and management. The method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with traders, visitors, and market managers, as well as field observations of the physical and social conditions of the market. The results of the study indicate that the main attraction of traditional markets lies in the authentic local atmosphere, social interaction between traders and buyers, and the diversity of cultural products. However, inadequate infrastructure, poor cleanliness, and an uncoordinated management system reduce visitor comfort. In conclusion, traditional markets have great potential as tourist destinations, but require infrastructure improvements, more professional management, and training for traders to improve services. The suggestion of this study is the need for more inclusive policies and a balanced approach between modernization and preservation of local culture so that traditional markets can develop as sustainable tourist destinations. Abstract

This study aims to analyze visitor perceptions, motivations, and preferences at Ciganjur Urban Forest, South Jakarta, as one of the strategic green open spaces. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed involving 100 respondents through structured questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to map respondent behavioral patterns. The findings indicate that primary push motivations include the need for relaxation, creativity restoration, and social bond strengthening, while pull motivations are dominated by peaceful atmosphere and clean air quality. Visitor perceptions of urban forest functions are generally positive, particularly regarding cleanliness, comfort, and ecological benefits. In terms of preferences, prioritized facilities include jogging tracks, park benches, prayer rooms, and fish nursery areas, while gazebos, interpretive signage, and disability-friendly facilities are considered less important. This research confirms that urban forest management should be directed toward user-oriented management approaches while maintaining the balance of ecological, recreational, educational, and inclusive functions. These findings align with Push and Pull Motivation theory and Utility Maximization, reinforcing global studies on the role of urban forests as psychosocial restoration spaces and means of enhancing urban community quality of life.
