Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation on Islamic financial management and to identify the opportunities and challenges arising from its implementation. The research method used is a qualitative literature review by analyzing secondary data from journals and official reports published between 2019 and 2024. The findings indicate that digital transformation plays a vital role in improving efficiency, transparency, and financial inclusion through technologies such as FinTech, Blockchain, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. Nevertheless, significant challenges such as low digital literacy, sharia compliance issues, and inadequate regulatory frameworks remain. This research contributes to strengthening the literature on integrating digital innovation and maqashid alshariah principles to support the sustainability of Islamic finance in the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation has driven significant growth in Indonesia’s Islamic finance industry. Through innovations in financial technology (fintech), Sharia-based financial services have become more inclusive, efficient, and transparent. This study aims to analyze the forms of Sharia financial product innovations based on fintech, particularly in the models of crowdfunding and Sharia peer-to-peer (P2P) lending, as well as to identify the challenges and strategies for strengthening its ecosystem. The research employs a literature review method with a descriptive-comparative approach, drawing from various academic publications, reports from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and data from the Indonesian Sharia Fintech Association (AFSI). The findings show that Sharia fintech plays a strategic role in expanding access to halal financing for MSMEs through mechanisms such as mudharabah, musyarakah, and qardh hasan. However, challenges remain in the form of low Islamic financial literacy, limited regulations and human resources, and weak public trust in fund management transparency. Strengthening strategies required include regulatory harmonization and contract standardization, enhancement of Sharia digital literacy, technological innovation through blockchain and smart contracts, and cross-sector collaboration among regulators, academics, and industry players. With the implementation of these strategies, Indonesia’s Sharia fintech ecosystem has the potential to become an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable Islamic financial model aligned with the values of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes market reactions to stock split announcements for sharia-compliant stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2025 period. Event-based corporate action studies on the Indonesian sharia-compliant stock segment are still limited, creating a research gap regarding the effectiveness of nominal signals in boosting trading liquidity, particularly when measured using Trading Volume Activity (TVA). The study employed an event study approach with a 10-day event window and a Paired Sample T-Test on paired data (pre–post event) to detect changes in average TVA. The sample consisted of five sharia-compliant issuers (n=5). The results showed an increase in average TVA from 0.00219 to 0.00311, but was not statistically significant (p=0.376>0.05; t=–0.996; 95% CI: –0.00349 to 0.00165). These findings confirm that the sharia-compliant stock market does not react strongly to short-term volume-based nominal stock split signals, challenging the general assumption of signaling theory in the sharia context. This novel research provides the latest empirical evidence that Islamic investors, including institutional investors, are more fundamentally oriented. Policy implications emphasize the need to strengthen literacy and disclosure standards by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and IDX Syariah, as well as issuers' communication strategies for corporate actions.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the implementation of Islamic Corporate Social Responsibility (ICSR) in Indonesia, which has not yet fully reflected sharia values comprehensively. The purpose of this study is to analyze in-depth the implementation of ICSR in sharia-based companies, identify gaps between normative concepts and empirical practices, and formulate an ideal and sustainable implementation model. The research method uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis and secondary data in the form of sustainability reports and sharia CSR policy documents. The results show that although normatively ICSR is based on the principles of ihsan, tauhid, and maqashid al-syariah as a form of worship and trust, its implementation in the field is still formalistic, administrative, and image-oriented. The findings indicate that ICSR does not significantly impact financial performance, but has a positive impact on reputation and consumer loyalty when implemented substantially and transparently. This study implies the need to revitalize ICSR implementation through the integration of maqashid al-syariah values, the application of the Shariah Impact-Based CSR model, strengthening sharia governance, and impact-based reporting so that ICSR implementation can deliver economic, social, and spiritual sustainability in a balanced manner and in accordance with the objectives of social responsibility in Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurial Motivation on the Economic Welfare of mustahik beneficiaries of the Gerobak Bermakna Program at YBM BRILiaN RO Pekanbaru. The study tests the hypothesis that the three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on economic welfare, both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. The population, which also served as the sample, consisted of 169 mustahik selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression at a 5% significance level. The results indicate that Business Capital (t = 2.217; p = .028), Financial Literacy (t = 6.406; p = .000), and Entrepreneurial Motivation (t = 3.349; p = .001) have a positive and significant effect on Economic Welfare. Simultaneously, the analysis shows F(3,165) = 66.626; p = .000 with an R² value of .548, meaning that 54.8% of the variance in economic welfare can be explained by the three variables. Financial literacy emerges as the most dominant variable. These findings imply that productive zakat programs should integrate capital assistance with continuous capacity building and entrepreneurial motivation development to sustainably enhance beneficiaries’ economic welfare.
