AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the inquiry based laboratory learning models implementation to reduce the percentage of VIII grade students’ misconceptions about vibrations in SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak. The form of this research is pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. There were 35 students in VIII I assigned as samples using the intact group technique. Data collection uses diagnostic tests through pre-test and post-test. It was found that the average percentage of students who misconceptions in the pre-test was 48.3% and in the post-test amounted to 8.67%. The decrease of students who misconception on average is 83%. The results of calculations using the McNemar test obtained χ2count is 12.07 greater than χ2table that is 3.841. Students’ conceptual changed significantly after the remediation activity using inquiry based laboratory learning model about vibration. The remediation effectiveness based on DQM test in average is 82.54% (high category). The inquiry based laboratory learning model is expected to be an alternative learning to overcome students' misconceptions about vibration. AbstractThis research aims is to be aware the remediation of student’s misconceptions by using Jerome Bruner’s learning method on Archimedes principle at SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak. the pre-experimental design with one group pre-test-post-test design was used in this research. The sample of this research is students of class VIII F (n = 30 student) which are chosen by random sampling technique of an intact group. The instruments in this research were diagnostic tests consisting of 15 pre-test question and 15 multiple choice post-test questions with open reasons. Based on data analysis, the findings are : (1) The percentage reduction of students who misconceptions, after remediation on indicator I of 82%; indicator II of 65%; and indicator III of 72%, with an average of 73%. (2) There is a significant conceptual change with Mc Nemar statistic test (χ2calculate for the whole indicator that is equal to 34,58; dk = 1 ; ∝ =0,05) after remediation. (3) The effect size of 1,75 (high category). Based on these results It was expected that Jerome Bruner’s learning method can be used as an alternative remediation learning activity to reduce misconceptions. AbstractThis study aims to asses the effectiveness of PDEODE Learning Model with LabInApp to remediate student’s misconception about ‘vibration’ for grade VIII IPA student of MTs Al-Madani Pontianak. The method used in This research method was pre-experimental with the one-group pretest-posttest design. Samples of study were purposive sampling and selected base on Physivcs teacher’s recommendation. The instrument of research included 10 questions of diagnostic test. The average range of students misconception in pre test was 73,1% and in post test was 26,9% . The average range decreases 57,9% after the treatment. Based on McNemar test, overall students experienced significant misconception with value of χ2count (54,39) > χ2table (3,84), df=1 and α = 5%. The effectiveness of PDEODE Model with LabInApp to remediate student’s misconception about ‘vibration’ that used to reduce the misconcepted students through DQM of 55,64% which included in medium category. Therefore, teachers suggested to used guided inquiry learning model as alternative learning technique in order to straighten out student misconception about ‘vibration’.Keywords: Remediation, PDEODE, LabInApp.

AbstractThis study aims to determine whether the use of stop motion video media can improvestudent learning outcomes on static fluid material. This research was the quantitativemethod. The design of this research was quasi experimental with the nonequivalent controlgroup. The total number of students in this study was 32, with 19 in the experimental classand 13 in the control class.. Statistical analysis used is a logical test to test the validity andCronbach's Alpha to test the reliability of the instrument. Shapiro Wilk's method to test thenormality of the data, Levene's test to test the homogeneity. Meanwhile, to test the hypothesisusing paired sample t test, independent sample t test and one sample t test. All calculationswere processed using the SPSS version 25 program. Hypothesis test paired sample t test,obtained a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. It can be concluded that there is an effect ofusing stop motion video media on improving student learning outcomes. Independent samplet test, obtained a significance value of Equal variances assumed < Equal variances notassumed (0.235 < 0.294). It can be concluded that there are differences in learningoutcomes between the experimental class and the control class. One sample t test, obtaineda significance value of 0.014 < 0.05. It can be concluded that stop motion video media iseffective for student learning outcomes.Keywords: Effectiveness, Media, Learning Outcomes

Abstract This research aims to find out the effectiveness of using experimental learning methods about newton's law to improve the students learning results of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The research method used was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group design with the research sample of the VIIIA control class and the VIIIB experimental class of 54 students selected by purposive sampling. The data collection tool used was a learning achievement test consisting of 20 pretest and posttest questions in the form of multiple choices. According to the gain classification, the results of data processing showed that students experienced an increase in learning outcomes by using experimental learning methods with a moderate category (0.4). According to the interpretation of the results of the Cohen Effect Size calculation it shows the high category (2.01)Keywords: Experimental Learning Method, Effectiveness of Learning Outcomes, Newton’s Law

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besar efektifitas.remediasi menggunakan strategi systematic approach to problem solving berbasis multirepresentasi untuk mengurangi jumlah kesalahan menyelesaikan soal uraian usaha dan energi di kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. Rancangan penelitian berupa one group pretest-posttest design dan instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes uraian masing-masing terdiri dari 5 item. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak yang telah mempelajari materi usaha dan energi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan intact group dan diperoleh kelas XI MIA 3 yang terdiri dari 34 siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada rata-rata penurunan persentase jumlah kesalahan menyelesaikan soal sebesar 59,83% tergolong sedang. Penelitian ini juga menemukan ada terjadi penurunan jumlah kesalahan tiap siswa dengan jumlah terbanyak yaitu pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 24 siswa. Kata kunci: SAPS, Multirepresentasi, Kesalahan, Usaha, Energi Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of remediation using the systematic approach to problem solving strategy based on multiple representations to reduce the number of errors in answering essay test about work and energy in grade XI MIA SMAN 7 Pontianak. The study uses the form of one group pretest-posttest design and the research instrument used is test descriptions that consist of five items. The population in this study is XI MIA students of SMAN 7 Pontianak who have studied about work and energy. Sampling was carried out with the intact group and obtained class XI MIA 3 which consists of 34 students. The analysis showed there was an average decrease in the percentage of the number of errors in answering the test by 59.83% moderate. The study also found the decrease in the number of errors for each student with the highest number in the high category as many as 24 students. AbstractThis study aims to calculate the percentage of students’ misconceptions reduction based on the level of knowledge and the effectiveness of remediation using clinical interviews in the Madurese language about Archimedes’ law in teaching Physics at MTs Arrahman Sungai Raya. This research method was Case Study. The participants in this study were 9 students who were divided into three groups of students knowledge levels, high, medium, and low. The “paper pencil test” with three options was used as instrument of this study. Based on data analysis, there were obtained that the average percentage of students’ misconceptions reduction based on high, medium, and low knowledge levels were 87.5%; 64.6%; and 68.8%. The average of reduction in percentage in the number of misconceptions of all students after being remedied was 48.5%. Based on the calculation of effectiveness (∆S) shows that clinical interviews using the Madurese language are effective in remediating misconceptions about Archimedes law for the eighth grade students of MTs Arrahman Sungai Raya with an ∆S as 0.86 (high category: ∆S > 0.7).Keywords: Clinical Interview, Mother Language, Archimedes Law

Abstract The purpose of conducting this research is to know the effectiveness of the levels of inquiry learning model in remediating the misconception of students of Junior High School 16 in Pontianak about pressure material. The form of this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was VIII B. This class consisted of 30 students. The sample was designated by using purposive sampling technique. The data collection was diagnostic test through pre-test and post-test. The mean of percentage in the pre-test was 63.3% and the post-test was 22 %. The mean of student misconception decrease was 77%. Based on the DQM test, the effectiveness of remediation was 65% (Medium level). The result of the Mc Nemar test was obtained 31.25 of is higher than 3.84 of . There was a significant result after remedial misconceptions by using levels of inquiry learning model on the pressure material The teachers are expected to use this learning model levels of inwquiry as an alternative media to remediate student’s misconceptions on pressure material. Abstracthitung This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the application of CUPS learning model assisted by PhET simulations to reduce the learners’ misconceptions on a harmonic osilation at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. This study was conducted through an experimental study in the form of pre-experimental design by one group pre-test post- test design with a total sample of 23 students in class X MIA 4. The instrument used in this study was a diagnostic test which consists of 10 multiple-choice questions in the form of open ground. From the calculation of the result of pretest and posttest data, there was a reduction number of learners who had misconceptions (average∆S= 57.75%) after remediation with CUPS learning model assisted by PhET simulations. Based on the analysis using the McNemar test, there was a significant conceptual change occurred (32 = 15.27; df = 1; α = 5%) after remediation with CUPSlearning model assisted by PhET simulations. The application of CUPS learning model assisted by PhET simulations were effective in decreasing the learners’ misconceptions with high category (O = 6,75). This research hopefully can be used as an alternative way to reduce the number of learners’ misconceptions in learning activities.Keyword: Conceptual Understanding Procedures, Harmonic Oscillation, Misconceptions

AbstractThis research aimed to overcome the students’ misconception about the reflection of light by a mirror to the learning of IPA in class IX SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The method used was the pre-experimental with one group pretest posttest design. The instruments of this research were two tiers diagnostic test that was tested to 29 students which were selected using simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis, the highest profile of the students’ misconception in pretest was that the image on a plane mirror was real (93.1%). The highest profile of the students’ misconception in posttest was that the image of objects only appeared half or partially when using the size of a plane mirror size of half the height of the object (58.62%). The average percentage decreased in the number of students that the misconception is 43.44%. McNemar test result obtained the conceptual change of the number of students who had misconception occurred significantly with an average value of χ2 hitung (12.83) > χ2 table (3.84). LAPS-Heuristic learning model is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activity in order to overcome the students’ misconception.
