Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran minat baca siswa di MAN 1 Ternate sebelum dan sesudah mendapat latihan pengguanaan metode membaca PQRST dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh metode membaca PQRST untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa di MAN 1 Ternate. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MAN 1 Ternate pada tahun ajaran 2024-2025 sebanyak 35 siswa. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket (kuesioner) dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terbagi atas dua kelompok yaitu analisis data untuk uji persyaratan dan analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Gambaran tingkat minat baca siswa dalam belajar di MAN 1 Ternate sebelum diberi perlakuan berupa metode mambaca PQRST berada pada kategori rendah, (2) Minat Baca siswa dalam belajar di MAN 1 Ternate setelah diberi perlakuan berupa metode mambaca PQRST berada pada kategori  tinggi, (3) Terdapat pengaruh pemberian metode membaca PQRST untuk meningkatkan Minat baca siswa di MAN 1 Ternate.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process and effectiveness of introducing the hijaiyah letters using the intensive participatory method for children aged 7–10 years. The intensive participatory method emphasizes active student involvement through reading, writing, educational games, and two-way interaction between teachers and students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation at the AHE reading tutoring institution. The results showed that the intensive participatory method was able to improve children's understanding of the shape, sound, and pronunciation of the hijaiyah letters more effectively than conventional learning. Children appeared more enthusiastic, actively asked questions, and were able to recognize letters with a higher level of accuracy. Furthermore, direct involvement in participatory activities strengthened children's memory and increased their confidence in reading the hijaiyah letters. This study concludes that the intensive participatory method can be an effective alternative learning strategy for introducing the hijaiyah letters to elementary school-aged children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between career maturity and decisions in choosing educational majors among twelfth-grade students. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population in this study consisted of twelfth-grade students, and the data were collected using a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis to examine the relationship between career maturity and decisions in choosing educational majors. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between career maturity and decisions in choosing educational majors among twelfth-grade students with a correlation coefficient of 0.62, which is categorized as strong. This indicates that the higher the level of career maturity possessed by students, the better their ability to determine educational majors that are appropriate to their interests, talents, and abilities. Therefore, career maturity is an important factor influencing students’ decisions in choosing educational majors.
