Abstract

Humor or jokes have become an integral part of social life. The Gen-Z group's response to humor is strange, especially for those above 25 years old. It is often characterized by an absurd and dark sense of humor. This will certainly cause contradictions from many parties, especially for people with disabilities who feel themselves to be the butt of jokes. In responding to dark jokes, a person with a disability uses resilience to maintain their self-actualization in the community. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the resilience dynamics of Gen-Z people with physical disabilities towards the dark joke phenomenon. The method used in this research is qualitative research with phenomenological design. Data collection was conducted by in-depth interviews with 3 key informants and 3 supporting informants. The results of this study indicate that aspects of resilience that arise include (1) emotion regulation; (2) Reaching out; (3) Imput control of negative behavior; (4) use of dark jokes; (5) optimism and support from the surrounding environment; (6) self-adjustment; and (7) self-efficacy. People with disabilities also use coping mechanisms as a problem-solving strategy that includes emotion focused coping and problem focused coping. Through resilience and coping owned by people with disabilities, they are able to actualize themselves and accept their physical limitations.

Abstract

Adolescents are valuable assets for Indonesia's progress, yet many of them face issues such as delinquency and intolerance. This study aims to examine the tolerance values taught by Wali Songo as an inspiration for multicultural guidance and counseling services to prevent intolerance among adolescents. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA framework to explore Wali Songo's teachings in mitigating intolerance among youth. A total of 89 articles were identified, filtered to 62 relevant ones, and ultimately analyzed 10 high-quality articles. This approach involves multicultural education, social activities, interfaith dialogues, and creative programs emphasizing cooperation and empathy. The findings indicate that applying Wali Songo's tolerance values in guidance and counseling services can shape adolescents to become more inclusive and appreciative of diversity, fostering a more harmonious society.

Abstract

Low self-acceptance can hinder personal development and disrupt social relationships. This study aims to develop a counseling model rooted in the philosophy of nrimo ing pandum, emphasizing patience, sincerity, and self-acceptance as central tenets. A literature review methodology encompassed five key stages: literature collection, literature selection, analysis of selected works, synthesis of findings, and discussion of results. The findings highlight the integration of the nrimo ing pandum philosophy into reality counseling as a meaningful approach to fostering self-acceptance. This philosophy reflects the Javanese cultural values of resilience, commitment, morality, and acceptance. Specifically, it can be applied during the evaluation stage of counseling, enabling counselors to explore and address clients' needs and aspirations. The study concludes that integrating the nrimo ing pandum philosophy with reality counseling offers a culturally grounded alternative to enhance students' self-acceptance. These findings contribute to theoretical advancements in counseling practices by incorporating local wisdom as a foundation for effective intervention strategies.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan implementasi program Nayanika, pemberdayaan Laskar Anak Pekerja Migran (LAPM) melalui digitalisasi wisata alam Pantai Kondang Bandung Purwodadi, Donomulyo, Malang. Program ini bermitra dengan LAPM sebagai kelompok remaja berlatar belakang keluarga pekerja migran. Program Nayanika menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra yaitu minimnya aktivitas produktif LAPM. Program Nayanika bertujuan (1) menyusun program pemberdayaan LAPM; (2) menerapkan program Nayanika; dan (3) mengevaluasi dampak penerapan program terhadap perubahan mitra. Program dilaksanakan melalui tahapan 4P yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, penutupan, dan penyusunan laporan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dari (1) Program Nayanika meliputi Nayanika Edu, Nayanika Craft, Nayanika Tech dan Nayanika Fest; (2) terlaksananya program Nayanika berupa sosialisasi-edukasi dari Nayanika Edu, Craft, Tech, dan Fest.; (3) terciptanya kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan LAPM dalam mengelola wisata alam, penataan fasilitas wisata, pengelolaan media sosial @kondangbandung_beach dan aplikasi Nayanika untuk branding Pantai Kondang Bandung, terciptanya Nayanika agent dan buku pedoman guna keberlanjutan program Nayanika. Program ini berhasil mengatasi masalah utama mitra dengan menghadirkan serangkaian kegiatan produktif yang berdampak positif terhadap LAPM dan potensi wisata alam Pantai Kondang Bandung.

Abstract

Facts in the field show that the empathy skills that prospective counselors have in understanding their counseling, especially in the aspect of empathy have not been comprehensively internalized. This research has three specific objectives (1) to develop a case method learning model guide based on serat wedharaga  values to increase the empathy of prospective counselors; (2) the developed model is theoretically tested through the validation of material experts, media, and potential users; (3) The model is empirically tested that  the case method learning model  is based on the value of serat wedharagas to increase the empathy of prospective counselors. The implementation of this research uses the development method with ADDIE design. The results of the development are in the form of a learning guide that includes sixteen meetings, containing materials, media, and evaluation tools. The developed learning model proved to be theoretically feasible and practically effective, demonstrated through a paired t-test with a value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000, indicating a significant improvement between pretest and posttest. Thus, serat wedharaga value-based learning  is effective in increasing the empathy of prospective counselors. Suggestions for the next researcher to conduct follow-up studies related to the development of other learning models to strengthen the professional character of prospective counselors.

Abstract

Abstract: This community service project applies research findings on developing a model program to enhance the competencies of counselors through behavior analysis and modification for junior high school students in Malang City. The model is designed to provide training and guidance in implementing behavior analysis and modification programs for problematic student behaviors, as well as to offer recommendations and improvement guidelines. The training employs the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method, following these procedures: (1) preparation, (2) implementation, (3) evaluation and follow-up, and (4) reporting. The target of the counselor competency enhancement program consists of 20 junior high school counselors in Malang City. The outcome of this program is demonstrated by an increase in the partners' competencies in conducting behavior analysis and modification, as indicated by higher post-test scores. Abstrak: Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini merupakan penerapan hasil penelitian tentang pengembangan model program peningkatan kompetensi konselor melalui analisis dan pengubahan tingkah laku pada siswa SMP kota Malang. Model ini dirancang untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pelaksanaan program analisis dan pengubahan tingkah laku bermasalah siswa, serta memberikan panduan dan rekomendasi perbaikan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL), dengan prosedur : (1) persiapan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) evaluasi dan follow-up, (4) pelaporan. Sasaran program peningkatan kompetensi konselor terdiri atas 20 konselor SMP di Kota Malang. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program ini berupa peningkatan kompetensi mitra dalam melaksanakan analisis dan pengubahan tingkah laku yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan skor posttest.

Abstract

Abstract: Purwodadi Village, Donomulyo Subdistrict, Malang Regency, is one of the largest contributors of migrant workers in East Java. This phenomenon has caused children left behind to exhibit deviant behaviors, drop out of school, and face challenges in finding employment. Laskar Anak Pekerja Migran (LAPM) is a group of children from migrant worker families focused on recording data on migrant workers’ children every three months and gathering to play with gadgets. The LAPM area also has untapped natural tourism potential, particularly Kondang Bandung Beach, which remains underdeveloped with limited facilities and low public recognition. To address these issues, the Nayanika Program was proposed to empower LAPM and digitize tourism at Kondang Bandung Beach. The program aims to: (1) design an empowerment program for LAPM, (2) implement the Nayanika Program, and (3) evaluate its impact on LAPM’s transformation. It follows four stages: preparation, implementation, closure, and reporting. The outcomes of the community service activities include (1) the Nayanika Program includes Nayanika Craft, Nayanika Edu, Nayanika Tech, and Nayanika Fest; (2) the implementation of the Nayanika program in the form of socialization-education from Nayanika Craft, Edu, Tech, and Fest. (3) the creation of awareness, knowledge and skills of LAPM in managing natural tourism, structuring tourist facilities, managing social media @kondangbandung_beach and the Nayanika application for branding Kondang Bandung Beach, creating Nayanika agents and guidebooks to ensure sustainability. This program successfully overcomes the main problems of partners by presenting a series of productive activities that have a positive impact on LAPM and the natural tourism potential of Kondang Bandung Beach. Abstrak: Desa Purwodadi, Donomulyo, Kabupaten Malang merupakan salah satu penyumbang pekerja migran terbanyak di Jawa Timur. Fenomena ini menyebabkan anak yang ditinggalkan mengalami perilaku menyimpang dan berdampak hingga putus sekolah serta tidak mendapat Pekerjaan. Laskar Anak Pekerja Migran (LAPM) merupakan kelompok anak keluarga pekerja migran dengan fokus kegiatan pencatatan anak pekerja migran setiap tiga bulan sekali dan berkumpul untuk bermain gadget. Di samping itu tempat tinggal LAPM memiliki potensi wisata alam yang bisa dikembangkan yaitu Pantai Kondang Bandung. Namun Pantai ini belum terkelola dengan baik, fasilitas terbatas, dan belum dikenal masyarakat luas. Berdasarkan masalah dan potensi wisata alam tersebut menghadirkan solusi berupa Pemberdayaan LAPM melalui Program Nayanika sebagai Digitalisasi Wisata Alam Pantai Kondang Bandung. Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of resilience among children with disabilities and to formulate a culturally responsive parenting model based on the Javanese value of Nrimo ing Pandum. The study employed a qualitative approach using a narrative literature review method by analyzing relevant books, scientific articles, journals, and conference proceedings. The findings indicate that children with disabilities face various psychological and social barriers that may undermine their self confidence, resilience, and self concept. Parenting and family support play important roles in strengthening resilience, self concept, and children’s capacity to develop their potential. The value of Nrimo ing Pandum, which emphasizes acceptance, gratitude, patience, and adaptive responses to life circumstances, provides a culturally relevant foundation for developing a parenting approach that integrates acceptance with empowerment. Based on these findings, this study proposes the Nrimo ing Pandum based Democratic Empowering Parenting model as a culturally responsive parenting approach that may support resilience, independence, and positive developmental outcomes among children with disabilities. This proposition is theoretically grounded in the alignment between the values of Nrimo ing Pandum and democratic and empowering parenting principles that foster autonomy, participation, and adaptive development. Further empirical research is needed to develop, validate, and examine the effectiveness of the proposed model.
