Abstract

Successful counseling is characterized by positive feelings, positive thoughts, and positive client behavior after counseling. However, not all counseling sessions can be successful. One of the causes that are predicted to hinder the success of counseling is the low self-disclosure of clients in counseling sessions. This study aims to examine the correlation between client self-disclosure and counseling success. This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The participants in this study were 204 clients from Indonesia who attended counseling within the last six months. The instruments used in this study were the client's self-disclosure scale and the counseling success scale. Research data was collected in the range March-June 2023. Analysis of research data used descriptive statistical analysis and partial least squares. The results of this study indicate that, in general, the level of self-disclosure of Indonesian clients and the success rate of counseling in Indonesia are in the very high category. Furthermore, the results of this study show that client self-disclosure has a positive and significant correlation with counseling success. Both the counselor and the client must consider the client's self-disclosure before starting a counseling session to prevent a low success rate of counseling.

Abstract

Academic stress can reduce academic performance in first-year university students. Based on theoretical studies and previous research, three factors are predicted to influence academic stress: academic self-efficacy, life satisfaction, and happiness. This study analyzes the correlation of academic self-efficacy, life satisfaction, and happiness with first-year university students' academic stress. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods and path analysis. The participants in this research were 720 first-year university students in Indonesia. The research instruments used were the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale, Happiness Scale, and Academic Stress Scale. Research data was collected online and then analyzed using the partial-least squares-structural equation model (PLS-SEM) technique. The results of this study show that life satisfaction and happiness are negatively and significantly correlated with first-year university students' academic stress. Furthermore, this research shows that happiness is the most determinant factor for academic stress, so it acts as a mediator in the correlation of academic self-efficacy and life satisfaction with first-year university students' academic stress. These three factors must be considered to reduce first-year university students' academic stress.

This activity was carried out for two days on August 3-4, 2024, in Nagari Kinari, involving 30 pregnant women as participants. The program included health counseling, mindfulness practice sessions, discussions, and consultations with health workers. The program results showed a significant decrease in participants' stress levels and increased knowledge about pregnancy health and the importance of stress management. The mindfulness therapy taught proved effective and can be applied by the participants in their daily lives. In conclusion, this training contributes to efforts to prevent the birth of stunted babies. It is expected to be a model intervention applied in other areas with similar problems.

Abstract

Ideally, in the early adult development stage, women are able to find a partner and build a family life. However, this can be hampered when early adult women experience trust issues in romantic relationships. Trust issues in romantic relationships can reduce the level of readiness for marriage in early adult women. This study aims to examine the correlation of several factors that are predicted to have a correlation with the readiness to marry early adult women who experience trust issues in romantic relationships. This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. This study involved 152 young adult women who were categorized as experiencing trust issues in romantic relationships. Data analysis used structural equation model-partial least square analysis. Based on research data analysis, readiness to have sexual relations and intimate communication skills are positively and significantly correlated with readiness to marry early adult women who experience trust issues in romantic relationships. However, this study also found that social environment support and family support did not significantly correlate with readiness for marriage in early adult women who experienced trust issues in romantic relationships. These findings can be a reference for further research with the same theme and references in psychological services with related clients.

Abstract

University students can have low academic flow when using a Learning Management System (LMS). Three variables are predicted to correlate with the academic flow (FA) of students who use LMS: academic self-efficacy (ASE), academic resilience (AR), and LMS use intensity (LMSI). This study looks at the link between academic self-efficacy, academic resilience, LMS use intensity, and academic flow among university students who use LMS. This study employs a quantitative approach, using correlational approaches and path analysis. Furthermore, 740 Indonesian university students who used LMS participated in this study. This study used the partial least squares-structural equation model (PLS-SEM) to analyze data. This study found that academic resilience and LMS use intensity are both positively and significantly associated with academic flow in university students who use LMS. Furthermore, the current research results show that academic self-efficacy is not directly related to academic flow among university students. Aside from that, the study's findings imply that LMS usage intensity is a deciding variable for academic flow among university students who use LMS and that it can control the link between academic self-efficacy, academic resilience, and academic flow. Academic resilience and LMS use intensity must be considered when improving university students' academic flow using LMS.

Abstract

Along with the times, human problems are also increasingly complex. In the era of society 5.0, human problems, especially clients in counseling services, are also increasingly complex and unique. These problems need to be studied to determine the focus of counseling services by counselors. This study aims to explore the focus of counseling services in the era of Society 5.0. We use the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore the focus of counseling services in accordance with the current era. We examine various literature published since 1971 to the latest literature that discusses the focus of counseling services. We examine the literature to find out the development of focus in counseling services from time to time. The results of this study indicate that there are five counseling service focuses that need to be considered by counselors in the era of Society 5.0, namely insights and attitudes toward clients, counseling service objectives, counseling service settings, technical implementation of counseling services, and evaluation of counseling services. The focus of counseling services has remained the same from time to time, but only the context of the focus of counseling services continues to experience development.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between Academic Self-Efficacy (ASE) and Digital Competence (DC) among first-year university students. The background of this study is based on the importance of digital skills in the modern educational era and the role of academic self-efficacy in facilitating the mastery of these skills. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational analysis method. The population of this study was first-year students, with samples taken randomly. The research instrument used was a scale designed to measure both constructs. The data analysis technique was carried out with partial least squares (PLS) technique to test the proposed hypothesis. The results showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between academic self-efficacy and digital competence, where an increase in academic self-efficacy contributes to an increase in students' digital competence. The conclusion of this study confirms the importance of developing academic self-efficacy as a strategy to improve digital skills. It is suggested that educational institutions design programs that support the development of students' academic self-efficacy, in order to improve their digital competence in an increasingly technology-dependent era.
