Abstract

The emergence of the metaverse has opened up new possibilities for businesses, entrepreneurs, and consumers, reshaping the way industries operate and interact with their audiences. As the virtual world expands, new business opportunities have emerged, allowing entrepreneurs to create innovative products, services, and experiences in entirely digital spaces. However, the potential of the metaverse for entrepreneurship remains underexplored. This research aims to examine how the metaverse offers new business opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs in various sectors. The study utilizes a qualitative research design, conducting in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs and industry experts who are actively engaging with the metaverse. Data was gathered through semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically to identify key trends, business models, and challenges faced by startups in virtual environments. The findings reveal that the metaverse provides entrepreneurs with access to a global market, greater consumer engagement, and new forms of monetization through virtual goods and services. However, challenges such as technical barriers, user adoption, and regulatory concerns persist. Entrepreneurs leveraging the metaverse tend to adopt business models that include virtual real estate development, NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and immersive experiences. In conclusion, the metaverse presents significant business opportunities, but entrepreneurs must navigate various challenges related to technology, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.

Abstract

Background. Increasing carbon emissions in developing countries is a serious challenge in climate change mitigation efforts. Renewable energies such as solar, wind, and biomass have great potential to reduce carbon footprint while increasing access to sustainable energy. Purpose. This study aims to analyze the potential of renewable energy in reducing carbon emissions in developing countries, as well as identify the main obstacles that hinder its utilization. Method. The research method uses a quantitative and qualitative approach, involving data analysis from various international reports as well as case studies from several developing countries. The data was analyzed to measure the potential of renewable energy, the level of utilization, and its impact on reducing carbon emissions. Results. The results show that although the potential of renewable energy is high, its utilization is still low due to infrastructure limitations, inconsistent policies, and inadequate funding. Conclusion. The study concludes that renewable energy can be an important solution in reducing carbon footprints in developing countries with stable policy support and international collaboration. Investment in infrastructure and local capacity building is needed to overcome implementation constraints.

Abstract

Maintaining classroom discipline poses significant challenges in today’s educational landscape, as UNESCO data indicates a global loss of 25% of teaching time due to disruptions. Growing student diversity and post-pandemic behavioral concerns have intensified these issues, necessitating research-backed approaches that foster engagement while minimizing distractions. Although various management strategies exist, their efficacy differs substantially depending on cultural and developmental contexts, often leaving educators uncertain about best practices.  This research assesses universally effective classroom management methods, analyzing their influence on student participation, academic performance, and behavioral incidents. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, the study examined 120 peer-reviewed articles (2015–2023) from Scopus and ERIC, alongside observational data from 15 countries. Findings revealed that proactive measures-such as structured routines and positive reinforcement-curbed disruptions by 40-65%, surpassing reactive interventions. The most successful strategies emphasized consistency, student independence, and cultural relevance. Notably, digital tools (e.g., token economies) improved adolescent compliance by 28% compared to traditional systems.  The study concludes that flexible, culturally adaptive frameworks-not rigid protocols-are key to effective management. To enhance learning environments globally, policymakers must invest in teacher training focused on proactive, inclusive techniques.

Abstract

The rapid depletion of forest ecosystems worldwide has led to an increasing need for sustainable forest management practices. One promising approach to incentivize conservation efforts is the implementation of Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) programs. PES aims to financially reward individuals or communities who provide ecological services, such as maintaining forest cover, conserving biodiversity, and improving water quality. Despite growing interest in PES, its effectiveness as a tool for sustainable forest management remains an area of active research. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PES programs in promoting sustainable forest management and enhancing the livelihoods of local communities. Specifically, the research examines the impact of PES on forest conservation practices, economic benefits for participants, and the long-term sustainability of forest ecosystems. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining both qualitative and quantitative data. Surveys were conducted with 150 households involved in PES programs across three forest regions. In-depth interviews with local stakeholders, including forest managers, government officials, and community leaders, were also carried out. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis to assess the outcomes of PES programs. The findings suggest that PES programs have led to increased forest conservation efforts, improved local livelihoods, and greater awareness of ecosystem services. However, challenges such as inadequate funding, lack of technical support, and limited participation of marginalized groups were identified as barriers to full program effectiveness. PES programs can be a viable tool for sustainable forest management, provided that they are properly funded, inclusive, and supported by strong governance frameworks. Long-term success will depend on overcoming existing challenges and ensuring equitable participation.
