Abstract

Education is a key element in the development of both individuals and society, in both general and specific contexts. Broadly speaking, education encompasses a lifelong learning process that has a positive impact, while in a narrower sense, it refers to formal educational institutions. The right to education is guaranteed by the Indonesian Law No. 20 of 2003 and is emphasized in the Qur’an, especially in Surah Al-‘Alaq. This study aims to explore the essence of Islamic education in the modern era, based on verses 1-5 of Surah Al-‘Alaq, through the interpretation of Ibn Kathir. A qualitative approach is used in this study, employing library research as the research method. Based on the analysis of Ibn Kathir’s tafsir on Surah Al-‘Alaq, it is found that education and learning are forms of mercy from Allah SWT, teaching humanity things they did not know before. Islamic education plays an important role in shaping the character and morals of individuals according to religious teachings, while integrating general knowledge with religious principles. Ibn Kathir’s tafsir in this Surah highlights the importance of reading, writing, and learning tawhid. Reading in the name of Allah SWT is considered to bring blessings and knowledge, while writing is necessary for preserving and safeguarding knowledge. Tawhid, which is the core of Islamic teachings, plays a crucial role in building awareness and devotion to Allah SWT. The paradigms of Islamic education based on the tafsir of Surah Al-‘Alaq include (1) the holistic education paradigm, (2) the tawhid-based education paradigm, and (3) the sustainable education paradigm. Overall, Islamic education aims to cultivate individuals who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess high moral and spiritual values.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the concept of time and time management according to the views of scholars, focusing on the maudhu’i exegesis approach. A qualitative approach is used, with the library research method as the primary data collection technique. The main source of data is the book Qimatuz Zaman 'Indal 'Ulama by Abdul Fattah, while secondary sources are drawn from tafsir books, journal articles, and other relevant literature on the concept of time in Islamic teachings. The collected data is then analyzed in depth to draw comprehensive conclusions regarding the meaning and importance of time in Islam. The findings reveal that Islam views time as a precious gift from Allah, which must be used as optimally as possible. This view is emphasized in several verses of the Qur'an that highlight the importance of being mindful of time. According to scholars, the optimal management of time is not only a duty but also an act of worship, an individual responsibility, and a means to achieve a productive life. This study offers a new perspective on time management, which is relevant to Islamic education, particularly in character building and time management in daily life. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep waktu dan manajemen waktu menurut pandangan ulama, dengan fokus pada kajian tafsir maudhu’i. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan metode studi kepustakaan sebagai teknik utama dalam pengumpulan data. Sumber data utama adalah buku Qimatuz Zaman 'Indal 'Ulama karya Abdul Fattah, sementara sumber sekunder diperoleh dari kitab tafsir, artikel jurnal, dan literatur lain yang relevan mengenai konsep waktu dalam ajaran Islam. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara mendalam untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan yang komprehensif tentang makna dan pentingnya waktu dalam Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Islam memandang waktu sebagai anugerah Allah yang sangat berharga, yang wajib dimanfaatkan sebaik-baiknya. Pandangan ini ditegaskan dalam berbagai ayat Al-Qur'an yang menggarisbawahi pentingnya perhatian terhadap waktu. Dalam pandangan ulama, pengelolaan waktu yang optimal bukan hanya sebagai kewajiban, tetapi juga sebagai bentuk ibadah, tanggung jawab individu, dan cara untuk mencapai kehidupan yang produktif. Penelitian ini memberikan perspektif baru mengenai manajemen waktu yang relevan untuk pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam pembentukan karakter dan pengelolaan waktu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

ABSTRACT. This study discusses the role of PAI teachers in instilling Islamic values in students with sensory limitations. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This research aims to show the various strategies applied by teachers. Through adaptive and innovative learning methods, teachers can facilitate the understanding of Islamic values such as honesty, tolerance, worship, and empathy. The results showed that the involvement of students, parents, and teachers can strengthen in fostering these values. Thus, the role of PAI teachers is not only limited to teaching, but also as facilitators and motivators who support the ethical and moral development of students with special needs. They need to better understand students' needs and limitations and provide emotional support to help them understand Islamic values. PAI teachers may also need to adapt their teaching methods to be more inclusive and understandable for students with sensory impairments, such as using adapted visual or audio communication. The school environment, including peers and other school staff, should also have a good understanding of students' needs in order to create an atmosphere that supports the development of Islamic values in students. Support from outside the school, such as parents, can also strengthen the learning of Islamic values carried out by teachers in the school. Penelitian ini membahas tentang peran guru PAI dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai Islami pada siswa dengan keterbatasan sensorik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukan berbagai strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru. Melalui metode pembelajaran yang adaptif dan inovatif, guru dapat memfasilitasi pemahaman nilai-nilai Islami seperti kejujuran, toleransi, ibadah, dan empati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan siswa, orang tua, maupun guru dapat memperkuat dalam membina nilai-nilai tersebut. Dengan demikian, peran guru PAI tidak hanya terbatas pada pengajaran, tetapi juga sebagai fasilitator dan motivator yang mendukung perkembangan etika dan moral siswa yang berkebutuhan khusus. Mereka perlu lebih memahami kebutuhan dan keterbatasan siswa serta memberikan dukungan emosional untuk membantu mereka dalam memahami nilai-nilai Islami. Guru PAI juga mungkin perlu mengadaptasi metode pengajaran mereka agar lebih inklusif dan dapat dipahami oleh siswa dengan keterbatasan sensorik, seperti menggunakan komunikasi visual atau audio yang disesuaikan. Lingkungan sekolah, termasuk teman sebaya dan staff sekolah lainnya, juga harus memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang kebutuhan siswa agar dapat menciptakan suasana yang mendukung perkembangan nilai-nilai Islami dalam diri siswa. Dukungan dari luar sekolah, seperti orang tua juga dapat memperkuat pembelajaran nilai Islami yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Guru PAI, Nilai Islami, Siswa berkebutuan khusus

Abstract

The concept of tauhid is a fundamental foundation in Islamic teachings that underpins all religious practices and spiritual understanding. In Islamic Religious Education (PAI), the teaching of tauhid is not merely theoretical but is also internalized in students' daily lives. This study highlights the importance of the aspects of rububiyah and uluhiyah in shaping the character of students, where they are invited to understand Allah as the Creator and the only God worthy of worship. Through teachings relevant to real-life situations, students are expected to develop gratitude, responsibility, and noble character. The Qur'an, as the primary source of tauhid education, provides verses that serve as references, such as Surah Al-Ikhlas and Al-Baqarah, emphasizing the oneness of Allah. In developing a tauhid-based PAI curriculum, a holistic approach and effective teaching methods, including the use of technology, are essential. However, challenges in implementing tauhid education, such as a lack of understanding among educators and an unsupportive environment, must be addressed through collaboration with parents and the community. Recommendations for curriculum development are expected to strengthen the integration of tauhid values, enabling students to not only acquire knowledge but also embody good character and responsibility

Abstract

Learning Media has an important role when the teaching and learning process takes place. Learning media can make it easier for teachers to convey teaching material and make it easier for students to understand the material. However, there are still teachers who ignore and pay little attention to this matter. This research aims to explore learning media in Q.S al-Baqarah verse 31. This research uses a library study method, by examining four books of tafsir, as well as various books, scientific articles and other relevant references. The research results show that in Q.S al-Baqarah verse 31 there are at least two learning media (visual media and audio media) that Allah used when teaching Prophet Adam a.s. This media acts as an intermediary tool that can help improve student understanding and make learning more fun and interactive.

Abstract

This study explores the educational (tarbiyah) dimensions in the Qur’an based on Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 11, focusing on achieving balance between intellectual, spiritual, and social aspects within Islamic education. The verse emphasizes that Allah elevates the ranks of those who believe and possess knowledge, highlighting the harmonious relationship between faith, knowledge, and social ethics in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to uncover the tarbawi values contained in the verse as a conceptual foundation for developing a holistic Islamic education framework. This research employs a qualitative method using a library-based study with a tafsir tarbawi approach, drawing upon classical sources such as Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurthubi, as well as contemporary literature on Islamic education. The findings reveal that Surah Al-Mujadilah verse 11 underscores the importance of integrating intellectual intelligence, spiritual depth, and social sensitivity as the core of educational development. These insights imply that Islamic education should not only prioritize knowledge acquisition but also foster moral character and spirituality as essential elements of lifelong learning.

Abstract

This study explores the collaborative model between teachers and parents in shaping the religious character of elementary school students in the digitalization era. The research is situated within the broader discussion of character education, which emphasizes the integration of moral values, religious practice, and family–school partnership. The purpose of this study is to examine the forms, processes, and effectiveness of collaboration between teachers and parents in strengthening students’ religious character through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SDIT Al-Maadin. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings reveal that teachers play a central role as moral role models (uswah hasanah) by integrating religious values into daily learning activities, establishing routines of prayer, Qur’an recitation, and moral habituation. Parents, on the other hand, act as partners who reinforce school-based religious practices at home through monitoring, guidance, and communication facilitated by the student handbook and WhatsApp groups. The study shows that digitalization does not require sophisticated technological tools; instead, it highlights the strategic use of simple digital communication to strengthen family–school synergy. Collaboration between teachers and parents results in the development of students’ religious character across three domains: aqidah–ibadah, moral conduct, and social values. The study concludes that consistent coordination and shared responsibility between school and family significantly enhance students’ religious character, though challenges remain in ensuring consistent home practices amid varied parenting patterns and digital distractions. Future research may examine comparative models across different school settings or explore parental digital literacy in greater depth

Abstract

Studi ini didorong oleh kebutuhan untuk memperkuat metodologi istinbāṭ hukum di tengah keterbatasan teks-teks fikih klasik dan kompleksitas isu-isu kontemporer yang semakin berkembang. Perbedaan konteks sosial antara ulama terdahulu dengan Indonesia modern menyoroti urgensi kerangka istinbāṭ yang mengintegrasikan teks-teks naskah, maqāṣid, dan analisis sosial secara operasional. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan konstruksi metodologis fikih qaulī dan manhajī sebagai dua model ijtihad yang menghubungkan wahyu dengan realitas kekinian. Dengan menggunakan penelitian pustaka kualitatif, studi ini menerapkan metode deskriptif–analitis dan komparatif untuk mengkaji literatur ushul fikih klasik dan kontemporer yang terintegrasi dengan maqāṣid asy-syarī‘ah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ijtihad qaulī beroperasi dengan memilih dan menguatkan pendapat hukum untuk kasus-kasus baru, sedangkan ijtihad manhajī merumuskan ketetapan hukum melalui penalaran analogis, keumuman teks setingkat mujtahid, dan mafhūm al-kalām ketika teks tidak eksplisit. Keduanya menunjukkan fleksibilitas hukum Islam sekaligus menjaga komitmen pada konsistensi naskah, maṣlaḥah, dan stabilitas sosial. Integrasi fikih manhajī–qaulī pada akhirnya menawarkan model operasional dan adaptif yang berakar pada maqāṣid, memberikan kerangka kerja yang relevan untuk menjawab berbagai masalah keagamaan dan sosial modern sekaligus memungkinkan evaluasi berkelanjutan demi memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat yang terus berkembang.

Research This use method qualitative based studies library research with approach analysis thematic to primary sources of Sufism classic, especially works of Al- Ghazālī , Ibn 'Arabī, and Shaykh 'Abd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī, as well as critical dialogue with interpretations of the Koran and literature academic contemporary. Research results show that purification soul in tradition Sufism No can realized in a way partial, but rather necessitate integration three main processes: tazkiyat al- nafs (submission) encouragement egocentric), tashfiyat al-qalb (purification) heart), and taḥliyat al- ruḥ (clarification soul). Riyā ḍah al- nafs positioned as instrument supportive practices​ tazkiyah, while relation guidance between students and mursyid functioning as mechanism pedagogical Forguard monotheistic orientation and preventing illusion piety. Abstract

Studies on the concept of the disciple in the Qur'an are often dominated by the "obedient learner model" extracted from the story of Moses and Khidr. Although ethically important, this paradigm is insufficient to address the demands of modern education that emphasize initiative, independence, and critical thinking. This study identifies this pedagogical gap and aims to reconstruct an alternative model to address it. Using qualitative literature study methods and a thematic tafsir approach, this study analyzes in depth the interaction between Prophet Solomon and the Hud-hud (QS. An-Naml [27]: 20-28), enriched with rhetorical analysis (balaghah) and expert views. The results present a prototype of the "Murid Mubadir" (Initiator Disciple), characterized by proactive initiative in seeking knowledge, intellectual courage in reporting findings, systematic analysis, and a sense of responsibility. On the other hand, Prophet Solomon represents the "Wise Teacher" who is open to new information while upholding the principle of verification (tabayyun). This study concludes that the Qur'an offers a polyphonic, not monolithic, concept of the disciple. The story of Hud-hud provides an empowering pedagogical paradigm for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to shape learners who are not only civilized, but also critical, proactive, and in tune with 21st-century skills.
