Abstract

Analyzing the main attraction of photocards to collectors, in which the focus of this study is to analyze the poses of Enhypen’s photocards and on why certain poses might trigger the desire for collectors within this community to buy them. Photocards is one of the items included in the production of the album when idol groups are making their music comebacks. Photocard consists of a picture with an interesting pose and usually comes in a 5.5 x 8.5 cm photo and printed on a carton paper; some are as thick as a debit card, with designs ranging from a hologram to a lenticular. This study based the research of this topic using Barthes's semiotics theory and the theory of the circuit of culture by Stuart Hall as well as focusing on the consumption of the collectors using the theory of consumption by Baudrillard. Qualitative methods such as semiotics will be used to collect data while also used ethnographic design to interview collectors within the community on why they decided to collect photocards. The researchers has conducted interviews to answer the questions in this topic to seven collectors inside the community regarding the reason on whether or not they decided to collect photocards based on their poses or because of their expensive price.

Abstract

This research discusses gender discrimination in the novel Annisa by John Michaelson. The analysis focuses on women's struggle in a male-dominated environment, especially in Islamic Javanese culture. The discussion covered in this analysis includes women's characterization and discrimination that always appears in the novel. The method used in this thesis is a descriptive qualitative method. In addition, this research uses feminist theory. The analysis results show that discrimination obtained by the main character is an unresolved conflict with patriarchal society, especially her family and environment. Annisa rebelled against the existing situation but wanted equal status because she realized that living in an Islamic environment with Javanese culture made her aware of the limited space for movement. Findings suggest that discrimination takes the form of unfair treatment and stereotypes, leading to women's marginalization and subordination to men. The novel shows how Javanese culture plays a role in organizing social norms and influencing character interactions.

Abstract

Desa Claket merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Pacet, Mojokerto, yang dibagi dalam 3 dusun, yaitu dusun claket, mligi, dan sembung dengan jumlah penduduk sebanyak 3.456 jiwa. Desa Claket juga menjadi salah satu desa wisata yang sedang mengembangkan diri menjadi desa wisata berdaya saing internasional. Desa Claket sebagai desa wisata sudah mempunyai daya tarik yang membedakannya dengan desa wisata lainnya, yaitu adanya wisata bernuansa kejepangan yang ditandai dengan gerbang Tori’i di taman spot selfi reast area. Desa wisata claket ini dikelola oleh masyarakat yang tergabung dalam kelompok sadar wisata. Ditinjau dari kriteria dasar pembentukan desa wisata, terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu dikembangkan dan dipenuhi guna pengembangan desa wisata. Salah satunya karena Desa Wisata Claket masih belum mempunyai kemitraan dengan pihak-pihak terkait. Tidak adanya jejaring dan kemitraan dengan berbagai institusi, baik pemerintah, swasta, maupun dunia industri mulai tingkat nasional dan internasional. Untuk itulah ditawarkan kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan pembuatan kerjasama dengan mitra (pers release dan proposal kerjasama). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan mulai bulan Juni sampai September 2023. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Harapannya, kegiatan ini mampu memberikan dukungan yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan desa wisata claket dan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat desa guna pengembangan desa wisata claket. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan dilaksanakan adalah pemahaman masyarakat yang tergabung dalam pokdarwis tentang pembuatan proposal kerjasama dan pers release meningkat dari rata-rata sebelum kegiatan di bawah 50% menjadi 90%. Selain itu, yang awalnya kegiatan Kerjasama yang dijalin oleh pokdarwis hanya sebatas mulut ke mulut sekarang terdapat 10 dokumen kerjasama atau MoA dengan mitra dari total mitra yang sudah diajak kerjasama sebelumnya sebanyak 19 mitra. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan ini telah memberikan dampak atau impact positif terhadap pemahanan pelaku sadar wisata akan pentingnya penyusunan dokumen kerjasama sebelum pelaksanaan suatu program.

Abstract

This research examines the representation of women's sexuality on social media, with a special focus on Indonesian cultural and religious affects. Traditionally, Indonesian women's sexuality has been strongly shaped by social norms that emphasize sexual purity and modesty. But social media has turned into a double-edged sword, allowing people to express themselves while also fostering objectification and. This study uses descriptive qualitative and Sara Mills' Critical Discourse Analysis to examine the sexual objectification of Pamela Safitri, as woman, at the "Talkpod" show. The data came from the conversation between Pamela Safitri and two male hosts. By analyzing interactions between the hosts and Pamela, the study points out the way humour and conversation form and frequently objectify women's sexuality in digital media, especially the reality show that invites women as guest stars. The results of this study explain that sexual objectification of women often uses jokes related to the body both explicitly and implicitly. The findings show that, although social media might empower women, The media is still biased in the discussion of women, especially the sexual objectification of women's bodies through words, sentences, or discourses.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, sastra digital telah menjadi alternatif penting dalam dunia sastra kontemporer, yang memungkinkan pembaca untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam menentukan jalannya cerita. Meskipun demikian, banyak mahasiswa yang masih terbatas dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis terkait pembuatan sastra digital interaktif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa Sastra Inggris Universitas Trunojoyo Madura dalam mengembangkan cerita interaktif menggunakan aplikasi Twine. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap: sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, dan presentasi diskusi kolaboratif. Pada tahap sosialisasi, sekitar 66% peserta menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik tentang fungsi digitalisasi sastra, meskipun mayoritas peserta belum memiliki pengalaman dalam membuat karya sastra digital interaktif. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan teknis tentang penggunaan Twine, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta tentang aplikasi tersebut. Sekitar 49% peserta kini memahami dasar penggunaan Twine, dan 30% peserta sangat paham dalam membuat cerita interaktif. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah memperoleh keterampilan teknis yang diperlukan untuk mengembangkan karya sastra digital interaktif. Kegiatan ini juga telah memperluas wawasan mahasiswa tentang potensi teknologi dalam dunia sastra. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk melanjutkan kegiatan ini dengan memperkenalkan lebih banyak alat digital serta meningkatkan literasi teknologi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan karya sastra di era digital.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse the personality development and the factors that influence the personality development of Arvin, in The Devil All the Time by Donald Ray Pollock. The researcher sets three formulations of the problem to be analysed the first is identifying Arvin’s basic personality. The second is identifying Arvin's personality development. Third is identifying the factors that cause Arvin's personality development. To analyze the formulation of the problem, the researcher uses character theory and characterization to identify Arvin's basic personality, then uses Elizabeth B. Hurlock's personality development theory to identify personality development and the factors that influence Arvin's personality development. The results of this study found that the first is Arvin's basic personality, namely innocent child, obeying his father's orders, and having strong faith. Second is Arvin's personality development, namely from an innocent child to a skeptical mind, from a faithfulness child to a rebellious child, and from having strong faith to losing faith. Third, factors that influence Arvin's development are physical changes, changes in the family, changes in the environment, and significant people. However, from the four personality development factors that the researcher found, significant people have the most influence on Arvin's personality development. The conclusion is that Arvin experienced personality development from a good child to a realistic and rude child, this factor was caused by a significant person, namely his father.

Abstract

examine poetic expression, point of view, meaning, and themes. By using the linguistics approach, stylistics helps to objectively disclose literal meaning and poetic expression in the text. Thus, this research attempts a stylistic analysis of Earle Birney’s poem The Bear on the Delhi Road and examines how language features affect the poetic expression and literal meaning in the poem. Furthermore, this research is a content analysis approach that is analyzed through the stylistics analysis. Stylistics analysis in this research focuses on the three language levels, phonology and syntactic. In the part of phonology levels, the researchers focus on the alliteration, assonance, and consonance. While syntactic levels focus on the transitivity patterns, affixes, and pronouns. By showing how specific linguistic features contribute to the overall meaning and emotional impact of a poem, this study encourages readers and scholars alike to engage more deeply with poetic texts. It also underlines the value of stylistics in bridging the gap between linguistic theory and literary appreciation, helping to bring about a greater awareness of the complicated relationship between form and content in literature.

Abstract

This study explores the representation of female sexuality in women’s spoken narratives featured on the Creatalks Entertainment YouTube channel. The research focuses on three of the most viewd videos, each presenting a woman’s personal experience involving sex, power, and emotional complexity. Using Sara Mills’ feminist stylistics as a theoretical framework, the study analyzes how the women position themselves in their stories whether as agents, victims, or both. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the primary data consisting of video transcripts. Rather than focusing on technical linguistic elements, the analysis examines the framing of sexuality through storytelling, emotional tone, and the social context of each experience. The findings reveal that while one woman portrays herself as a clear agent of her sexuality, the other two narrate experiences that reflect a blend of agency and victimhood shaped by manipulation, emotional debt, and power imbalance. These narratives illustrate the complexity of female sexuality when shaped by authority, trust, and cultural silence. This study highlights the importance of digital storytelling in revealing how women make sense of their sexual experiences within a patriarchal context. Abstract

Wonorejo sub-district has the potential for MSMEs that should be developed, but public awareness of the development of MSMEs is still low. This is indicated by business actors who are not good at product packaging which affects their sales. Therefore, it is necessary to build an identity by creating a logo that will be displayed on the product packaging to strengthen marketing in a wider reach. In addition, the creation of legality is very necessary in the MSME partner identity building program that we will develop. With the synergy between building brand identity through a strong logo, attractive and functional packaging design, and fulfilling business legality, it is hoped that partner kebab chip products can build a professional and trusted image. Increasing brand visibility in the market, higher consumer trust, and access to wider distribution channels will significantly strengthen the marketing position of partner products. Ultimately, this comprehensive strategy aims to support the sustainability and growth of MSMEs, so that they can contribute more to the local and national economy, and compete effectively in an increasingly dynamic market. Abstract

Sektor perikanan memiliki peluang besar untuk mengembangkan jenis ikan yang umum dibudidayakan di lingkungan perkotaan, seperti ikan lele. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam budidaya ikan lele dengan memanfaatkan teknologi inovatif berupa sistem bioflok. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada periode Mei hingga Juni 2025 di Kelurahan Wonorejo. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh kelompok mitra adalah kurangnya fasilitas peralatan pendukung budidaya serta ketidakmerataan ukuran ikan yang dihasilkan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah participatory rural appraisal, yang bertujuan untuk melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif. Kegiatan ini terbagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Bentuk kegiatan meliputi penyediaan aplikasi untuk menghitung takaran pakan, pembuatan kolam bioflok, dan pelatihan dalam formulasi pakan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa budidaya ikan lele dengan sistem bioflok melibatkan beberapa tahapan penting, seperti persiapan media, pemilihan benih, pemberian pakan, pengukuran panjang dan berat ikan, penyortiran, serta pengontrolan secara rutin. Pendampingan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani serta mahasiswa dalam budidaya ikan lele. Penerapan teknologi bioflok akan lebih efektif apabila dilakukan secara partisipatif oleh mitra, sehingga potensi budidaya dapat dimaksimalkan secara berkelanjutan.
