Abstract

Abstrak: Tanah rawa gambut di wilayah Kelompok Tani Suka Maju memiliki tingkat keasaman tinggi dan daya ikat hara rendah, yang menjadi masalah produktivitas pertanian. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi melalui sosialisasi konversi biomassa pascapanen menjadi pupuk biochar sebagai pupuk organik alternatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan, dan workshop dari tim ahli yang melibatkan kelompok tani sebagai mitra, dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 25 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan biochar peserta sebesar 90%, peningkatan fungsi biochar 80%, serta jenis limbah biomasa untuk biochar 80%. Inovasi ini dinilai mampu memperbaiki struktur tanah, meningkatkan kapasitas tukar kation, serta mendukung praktik pertanian berkelanjutan di lahan gambut.Abstract: The peat swamp soils in the Suka Maju Farmer Group area are highly acidic and have low nutrient retention, limiting agricultural productivity. This community service program aims to address the issue by promoting the conversion of post-harvest biomass into biochar as an alternative organic fertilizer. The activities included socialization, and workshops, involving farmer group as a mitra. The results showed an increase in participants' biochar knowledge by 90%, an increase in biochar function by 80%, and an increase in the type of biomass waste for biochar by 80%. This innovation is proven to improve soil structure, enhance cation exchange capacity, and support sustainable farming practices on peatlands.

Abstract

Abstrak: Di Indonesia, stunting masih menjadi masalah serius. Salah satu wilayah di Indonesia dengan prevalensi tinggi stunting adalah Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, khususnya Kecamatan Bukit Batu dengan angka 27,4%. Kecamatan Bukit Batu kaya akan sumber daya alam, salah satunya sayuran lokal bernama terong asam (rimbang), yang kaya vitamin dan dapat membantu mencegah stunting. Namun, pemanfaatannya masih minim karena kurangnya pengetahuan. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan dan memberi pengetahuan dalam rangka pencegahan stunting di kecamatan Bukit Batu. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara memberikan sosialisasi terkait inovasi berbahan lokal rimbang sebagai bahan jajanan pencegah stunting, dengan melibatkan seluruh orang tua di posyandu Kecamatan Bukit Batu dengan total peserta 30 dari 32 orang yang terdiri dari ibu yang memiliki balita, ibu hamil, dan kader kesehatan. Hasil evaluasi di lakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test yang diisi oleh peserta kegiatan dalam bentuk kuisioner. Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan ini telah mencapai seluruh indikator keberhasilan yaitu kehadiran peserta ≥80% dari seluruh undangan yang disebar dan pengetahuan peserta mengalami peningkatan berdasarkan hasil pre-test (71,25%) dan post-test (88,28%) yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya.Abstract: In Indonesia, stunting remains a serious problem. One region in Indonesia with a high prevalence of stunting is Central Kalimantan Province, particularly Bukit Batu District, with a rate of 27.4%. Bukit Batu District is rich in natural resources, one of which is a local vegetable called sour eggplant (rimbang), which is rich in vitamins and can help prevent stunting. However, its utilization remains minimal due to a lack of knowledge. The goal of this community service is to increase and provide knowledge for stunting prevention in Bukit Batu District. The method used was to provide outreach regarding the innovation of local ingredients such as rimbang as a stunting-preventing snack. This involved all parents at the Bukit Batu District Integrated Health Post (Posyandu), with a total of 30 out of 32 participants, consisting of mothers with toddlers, pregnant women, and health cadres. The evaluation results were carried out using pre-test and post-test methods which were filled out by activity participants in the form of a questionnaire. The evaluation results of this activity achieved all indicators of success, with attendance exceeding 80% of all invitations distributed, and participants' knowledge increased based on the results of the pre-test (71.25%) and post-test (88.28%).

Abstract

Abstrak: Limbah pertanian selama ini dibakar atau dibuang sembarangan menyebabkan pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan. Melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan, masyarakat diberikan pemahaman serta praktik langsung dalam mengolah limbah organik menjadi produk bernilai ekonomis. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan limbah pertanian melalui teknologi biokonversi menjadi pupuk organik. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu dengan cara memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan terkait pestisida alami pupuk organik sebagai inovasi pemanfaataan limbah biomassa pascapanen kelompok tani suka maju dengan peserta 30 orang. Selanjutnya dilakukan evaluasi dengan metode pre-test dan post-test sebanyak 10 soal pilihan ganda yang diisi oleh peserta kegiatan dalam bentuk kuisioner. Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan ini telah mencapai seluruh indikator keberhasilan yaitu kehadiran peserta 100% dari seluruh undangan yang disebar dan pengetahuan peserta mengalami peningkatan berdasarkan hasil pre-test (50,25%) dan post-test (90,25%) yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya.Abstract: Agricultural waste has been burned or disposed of carelessly, causing pollution and environmental damage. Through training and mentoring, the community is given an understanding and hands-on practice in processing organic waste into products with economic value. It is hoped that the results of the activity will show increased knowledge, reduced dependence on synthetic fertilizers, and the creation of new business opportunities based on sustainable agriculture. This activity aims to increase community awareness and skills in managing agricultural waste through bioconversion technology into organic fertilizer. The method used is by providing socialization and training related to natural pesticides and organic fertilizers as an innovation in utilizing post-harvest biomass waste from the Suka Maju farmer group with 30 participants. Furthermore, an evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test methods filled out by the activity participants in the form of questionnaires. The evaluation results of this activity have achieved all indicators of success, namely 100% participant attendance from all invitations distributed and participant knowledge has increased based on the results of the pre-test (50.25%) and post-test (90.25%) that have been conducted previously.

Abstract

Many rimbang harvests, which are local vegetables from Central Kalimantan, are damaged and then thrown away because they are not marketable. This is clearly due to the relatively short shelf life of rimbang fruit. Farmers who depend on the harvest as their main source of income will certainly be disadvantaged by this. In addition, rotten rimbang vegetables will have a negative impact on the environment because they produce methane gas, one of the gases that causes global warming. So this community service program innovates rimbang, where rimbang is made into a syrup drink. Rimbang syrup can be a new innovation to create new products that are competitive, have high selling value, and are durable. The implementation of the community service program took place in the Habaring Hurung Village farmer group, Bukit Batu District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province. This activity program was carried out through 4 stages of activities, including location surveys, collection of raw materials, training in making eggplant dodol, and success indicators. The success indicators were carried out using the pre-test and post-test methods filled out by the activity participants in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that this activity is able to increase insight and ability on how to make syrup with rimbang as the basic ingredient, even the residents can implement and apply this food innovation independently.
