Abstract

The purpose of this research includes two main aspects, namely: 1) to improve students' ability and creativity in telling pictures using their own language. 2) to explain the problems faced by teachers in the context of learning. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques carried out include observation of the learning process, interviews with resource persons, and documentation to the subject concerned. The data collected is verified for validity by comparing the results of observations with the results of interviews. The data that has been collected is then analyzed with the stages of data management, data organization, and discovery of research results. The results of the study show two things: 1) efforts to improve students' ability and creativity in telling pictures using Indonesian by utilizing visual images that can be observed and told. 2) problems faced by teachers, especially related to students' difficulties in telling pictures due to limited vocabulary and the influence of everyday language. Therefore, the proposed solution is the application of learning approaches and strategies that suit the needs of students, so that learning can be more interesting and meaningful for them

Abstract

The development of the times is getting faster with technology. Digital madrasas also need other supporters for better educational sustainability. In the era of digitalization, the Madrasah as an educational institution also has a role in keeping up with the times. This study aims to describe efforts to optimize digital libraries and analyze the strategy for developing digital collections in madrasah libraries. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including observation of the condition and state of the digital library in the Madrasah, interviews with resource persons as digital library managers, and documentation of activities in the digital library. The study results show that digital libraries in madrasas are optimized for digital use, especially in education. In addition, the optimization strategy carried out is that the digital library has collections that are digitally recorded where the development of digital collections in the Madrasah includes analyzing user needs, mapping digital collection sources, and evaluating the use and IDs distributed to each library member including all students, teachers and education staff in the Madrasah. As well as optimizing the digital library in collaboration with the central library in Lamongan. The optimization of digital libraries can increase the popularity of digital libraries in madrasas and can expand library digital services.

Abstract

The transformation of higher education in the digital era encourages the implementation of innovative technology-based learning models across countries, including Indonesia and Malaysia. This study aims to identify innovative learning models applied at Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University, Malang, Indonesia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and to analyse their contributions to improving student spirituality. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through case studies, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data are analysed thematically through the processes of data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that both institutions develop technology-based learning that not only supports academic achievement but also strengthens students’ affective aspects, especially spirituality. Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang implements explicit integration of Islamic values into every digital learning component. At the same time, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia develops a contextual approach through value reflection and spiritually based projects. Lecturers at both institutions play a key role in guiding the use of technology for contemplation and character-building. These findings confirm that with the right pedagogical approach, technology can be an effective medium in strengthening students’ spiritual values in higher education.

Abstract

Character cultivation is a critical component of educational systems worldwide. Character education needs to be instilled through curriculum frameworks that align with national educational goals by developing cultural values and national character. This research aims to describe and analyze the cultivation of students' religious character, identify supporting factors, and examine inhibiting factors in the cultivation of students' religious character through madrasah culture at an Islamic elementary school in Lamongan, East Java. This qualitative research collected data through observation, documentation, and interviews. The analysis employed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion drawing. The research findings reveal that the cultivation of religious character in students based on madrasah culture is implemented through planning aspects, implementation (physical artifact layer, non-physical artifact layer or behavior, and verbal artifact layer or values and beliefs), and evaluation. Supporting factors in instilling religious character in students based on madrasah culture include supportive facilities and cooperation from the school community. The inhibiting factors in cultivating religious character in students based on madrasah culture are students' different family backgrounds and lack of parental support
