Abstract

Problem solving menjadi fokus penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dalam banyak kasus, para siswa seringkali merasa bahwa suatu pendekatan aljabar merupakan satu-satunya pendekatan yang akan bekerja. Hal ini sangatlah beralasan kiranya karena dalam proses pembelajaran matematika selama ini siswa hanya diajarkan dengan pendekatan tersebut untuk menyelesaikan suatu soal cerita dan sejenisnya. Bahkan ada sejumlah guru yang mengajar matematika di SD melompati materi yang akan diajarkan ketika dalam proses pembelajaran berjumpa dengan soal-soal problem solving. Banyak buku teks matematika sekolah dasar juga cenderung menekankan peran soal cerita tradisional untuk mengembangkan kemampuan-kemampuan problem solving. Dari masalah tersebut kiranya dapat dipahami bahwa merancang suatu bahan ajar yang didalamnya memuat soal-soal untuk membangun kemampuan problem solving berbasis open ended dan mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Almuslim merupakan sesuatu hal yang sangat urgen. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar mahasiswa PGSD sebagai calon guru SD mempunyai bekal yang memadai mengenai pemahaman problem solving ketika akan mengajar di SD. Penelitian ini ingin menghasilkan bahan ajar problem solving dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran mahasiswa PGSD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Adapun hasil yang diperoleh sejauh ini pada tahun pertama adalah telah dilaksanakan 5 (lima) langkah dari 6 (enam) langkah yang direncanakan yakni; 1) mengumpulkan informasi mengenai proses pembelajaran matematika dalam aspek pemecahan masalah yang sudah dilakukan guru di SD dan di perkuliahan, 2) desain bahan ajar problem solving berbasis open ended, 3) validasi desain bertujuan untuk menilai rancangan bahan ajar dengan menghadirkan 2 ahli (ahli materi dan ahli media) untuk mengetahui kelemahan dari bahan ajar yang di rancang, 4) perbaikan desain hasil validasi,  5) uji coba bahan ajar problem solving berbasis open ended, baik uji coba secara terbatas maupun secara luas, dan 6) revisi bahan ajar berdasarkan uji coba secara terbatas dan luas (masih sedang dilaksanakan).

Abstract

Implementation of Lesson Study, Mathematics Education Program choose one course is Kalkulus Lanjutan. Selection of subjects was based that calculus is a course in basic math skills that must be mastered by the student. Innovation is happening in advanced calculus learning with learning that lesson study is implemented in the form of groups and members of this heterogeneous group, the teaching materials in the LKM (Lembar Kegiatan Mahasiswa) which can facilitate students understand the material and LKM contains the problems associated with the material to be studied, the presentation of the results of the LKM of students in front of the class like a teacher who was teaching and the training of students in speaking forum. Key words: Lesson Study, Kalkulus Lanjutan, Learning Mathematics

Abstract

Kajian pustaka ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan lebih mendalam tentang teori belajar behavioristik dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar berdasarkan kurikulum 2013. Teori behavioristik menjadi salah satu landasan teori belajar yang digunakan dalam merancang perangkat pembelajaran. Siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan teori behavioristik sama halnya dengan membentuk pola pikir siswa melalui pemberian stimulus respon. Sesuai karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar yang membutuhkan stimulus untuk memahami konsep-konsep materi matematika. Berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 yang memiliki tujuan bahwa pembelajaran harus bermakna bagi siswa, yaitu siswa dapat menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan yang diperoleh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Maka, guru diharapkan mampu memahami pengetahuan awal, serta sikap dan keterampilan siswa untuk menentukan tujuan pembelajaran yang tertuang dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Lalu, merancang evaluasi formatif yang berguna sebagai umpan balik dari proses pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan serta memberikan motivasi dan semangat baru kepada peserta didik dalam rangka mewujudkan perubahan perilaku yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana problematika perkembangan kognitif, fisik, bahasa dan sosio emosional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas V-A SDN 28 Peusangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara terhadap kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Penulis juga melakukan kajian pustaka dari berbagai sumber demi melengkapi dan mempertajam data-data terkait dengan topik pembahasan. Pendidikan memegang peranan penting dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak. Anak usia sekolah dasar sudah mampu mengontrol diri dengan lingkungannya, sudah bisa menunjukkan rasa empati terhadap sesama temannya, mulai menyukai angka dan tulisan, mampu membangun komunikasi dengan baik, menyukai hal-hal yang berbaur cerita dan lain sebagainya. Sehingga anak usia sekolah dasar sudah mencapai perkembangan kematangan umur menurut fasenya sendiri. Secara umum, laju perkembangan setiap individu berbeda-beda. Tergantung pada lingkungan, stimulasi dan kepribadian masing-masing. Namun, aspek perkembangan setiap anak meliputi perkembangan biologis dan psikologis. Secara biologis, menyangkut perubahan fisik seperti, berat badan, tinggi badan, warna kulit, perkembangan otak sistem saraf dan sebagainya. Sedangkan secara psikologis mencakup perkembangan pada aspek kognitif, seperti perkembangan bahasa dan sosio-emosional.

Abstract

The role of students' attitudes (disposition) towards mathematics is an important element in solving mathematical problems and must be maximized properly. Disposition has the following indicators: self-confident, flexibility, persistent, curiosity, reflecting, apply it. This study aims to describe the elementary students' mathematical disposition profile towards problem solving abilities. The research method uses qualitative-descriptive. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews then analyzed by triangulation technique. The results show that there is a significant relationship between elementary school students' mathematical dispositions to problem solving abilities. Students who meet the "excellent" category of mathematical disposition indicators (mathematical disposition indicators score > 85%) have good problem solving skills. Furthermore, students who are categorized as "less" (mathematical disposition indicators score < 60%) have problem solving abilities that need treatment. Each indicator description is described in this article.

Abstract

Students' capacity to solve problems is impacted by their low reading proficiency. This study aimed to characterize how students' reading literacy affected their comprehension of problems, which is the initial step in problem solving. 39 elementary school pupils in the fifth grade served as the research subjects for the descriptive analysis research method. The data analysis results demonstrated that students with high category abilities could comprehend the meaning of problems when they were solving them, but they needed to be meticulous and deeply involved in the difficulties they were working on. Due to their limited capacity for issue interpretation, students in the medium and low category abilities were not yet able to answer problems as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of parent-school relationships in enhancing student moral development at SD Negeri 12 Bireuen, operating as a Sekolah Penggerak. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach and encompasses various stakeholders, including the principal, teachers, students, parents, school committee, and the school environment. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis focuses on the principal's leadership role in engaging with the community within the context of the Sekolah Penggerak in Bireuen Regency, following the steps of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that the approach adopted by the Principal of SD Negeri 12 Bireuen has fostered an environment conducive to positive moral growth among students. Collaborative efforts and participation from diverse groups, such as the teachers' council, committees, parents, and community leaders, have proven pivotal in program planning and execution. Utilizing both group and individual meetings, alongside mediums like brochures, newsletters, and the Monday flag ceremonies, has effectively strengthened the school's community relationships and facilitated the dissemination of student and school-related information. An encompassing evaluation of various school elements underscores the program's success in enhancing student morale. In summary, the integration of parent-school relations within the framework of Sekolah Penggerak has yielded constructive outcomes on student moral development. The principal and the school community have effectively cultivated cooperative partnerships, promoted robust communication, and ensured active engagement from all stakeholders.

Abstract

Sekolah Alam Bireuen (SABIR) is a new school that focuses on outdoor learning by utilizing nature as a medium for education. This research aims to understand the process of character implementation among students during learning activities at SABIR for grades IV, V, and VI using qualitative research methods. The results of the character implementation process at SABIR consist of two stages: the first stage is planning, where educators create learning modules that incorporate character values to be instilled in students. The second stage is the execution phase, during which students are shaped to embody values such as religiosity, discipline, and responsibility both inside and outside the classroom. The behaviors exhibited by students in applying religious values include habits like performing the Dhuha prayer and other forms of worship. For discipline, students demonstrate punctuality in arriving at school, while responsibility is shown through students fulfilling their cleaning duties according to their schedules and not littering. Challenges faced by educators in implementing character education include a lack of parental support and difficulties for transfer students adjusting from their previous schools to SABIR. To address these challenges, educators have established good communication with parents and approached transfer students to help them adapt. The findings indicate that SABIR has successfully implemented character education within both classroom and outdoor learning environments, supported by programs that aid students in developing their character. The implementation of character-based education at SABIR can be considered effective; any shortcomings are addressed through solutions involving communication with parents and support for students.

Abstract

Education is an essential process aimed at developing the individual’s potential holistically, encompassing intellectual, emotional, and social aspects. The School of Nature, as an innovative approach to education, uses nature as the primary learning medium, offering relevant contextual experiences for students. SMP Sekolah Alam Bireuen (SABIR) implements the "Learning Together with Nature" (BBA) method, which invites students to learn through direct interaction with their surrounding environment. This approach aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, while enhancing the understanding of mathematical concepts, including the Pythagorean Theorem. The Pythagorean Theorem, often considered abstract, can be taught more applicably through nature-based learning. This study uses the Systematic Review (SR) method to analyze literature related to the integration of the Pythagorean Theorem in BBA. The analysis results show that nature-based contextual approaches are effective in improving students' mathematical understanding, while also providing an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. Students not only learn theory but also apply mathematical concepts in the field, such as measuring the sides of right-angled triangles, thus enhancing their understanding and problem-solving skills. This approach also instills values such as cooperation, responsibility, and environmental love, which support the holistic development of student competencies. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of nature-based learning methods in the context of more contextual and applicable mathematics education
