Abstract

This study is to determine the effect of using the Refinitiv ESG score in stock picking and its impact on portfolio performance using the ESG Score. Methodology for this research using a two-sample t-test of Net Asset Value (NAV) price-return portfolios and the Sharpe ratio as a proxy for risk adjustment return for portfolio evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the use of a Refinitiv rating may serve as a suitable metric for stock selection strategy because companies with higher ESG scores tend to exhibit superior performance. Since ESG ratings in Indonesia are still difficult to obtain, those with access to ESG ratings will have more advantages. Greater return performance is followed by an increased level of risk. Given the assumption of a well-diversified portfolio, it is hypothesized that the increased risk can be attributed to a larger variance coefficient. So that the Sharpe ratio must be used for portfolio evaluation to measure risk-adjusted returns.

Abstract

This Community Development (Comdev) Universitas Prasetiya Mulya aims to facilitate the Dzanira Collection fashion business located in Cilimus Village, Kuningan, West Java. The main challenges the MSME partners face are the lack of a dedicated boutique to display their clothing products and the absence of a suitable location for catalog photo shoots that can be shared on social media platforms. In response to these challenges, the comdev group solution involved creating a 1.5m x 1.5m booth inside the MSME partner's home, which serves as both a product photo shoot area and a physical retail space for offline sales to visitors. By creating an elegant boutique-like atmosphere, the comdev group not only anticipates attracting more visitors to the MSME partner's home but also providing a professional environment to showcase their products, enhancing the project's credibility. The results of this activity are an increase in the marketing skills of the group partners and a 60% growth in sales. Through this initiative, the group aims to empower MSME entrepreneurs like the MSME partners to improve their business operations and adapt to changing market dynamics

Abstract

Barley is a type of grain that comes from the wheat family. Barley is widely used as a raw material in bread, drinks, and various other dishes. Barley can lower blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol, and aid weight loss. In Indonesia, barley was once commonly consumed by the Dayak people. They process barley into rice, porridge, and cakes. Barley was then developed by the government of East Kalimantan, namely Gunawan Setyobudi, who is an extension worker at the Agricultural Fisheries and Forestry Extension Center (BP3K) Loa Kulu Kukar District. Barley planting has been carried out since 2008 and cultivation and plant development have been carried out since 2013. The benefits of plants are very good and have great benefits for consumers who do health therapy or diet. However, this barley is less well known by other Indonesian people. Not many know that barley exists. With social media, artisans can increase the branding of barley products so that barley products can be increasingly recognized by other Indonesian people. Overall, social media is very helpful to the community because it can promote processed barley products and attract public interest in processed barley products. The existence of social media is expected to help increase public knowledge of processed barley products so that barley will become even more well known to many people.

Abstract

The DMAIC (Define, Measurement Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology of Six Sigma has been widely recognized as a breakthrough process improvement strategy for application among human resources that offers an impressive reduction in defects or errors in many business processes. Even though Six Sigma's DMAIC was predominantly applied in the manufacturing industry, recent studies have revealed that it has been implemented effectively in the service industry as well. This article aims to explore the benefits and the fundamental challenges of DMAIC implementation as a student's course project in five Indonesian service companies. An exploratory study was conducted to provide a clear understanding of DMAIC method implementation in service companies. A similar challenge, the lack of openness of the company, was found across cases. Several enhancements in company performance were identified, including improved customer satisfaction, reduction in delivery errors, and shorter waiting time. This research also highlighted the usage of some non-statistical tools and techniques that effectively contribute to each phase of the DMAIC method. Lastly, all five companies reported that these improvement projects offer positive benefits, including increased revenue and cost reduction.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness and challenges of Indonesia's digital onboarding program for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) aimed at enhancing market access via digital marketplaces. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) with 15 SME owners, representatives from four major e-commerce companies, and policymakers from the Ministry of Industry. Findings highlight significant gaps between planning and implementation, requiring tailored workshop materials, better coordination with marketplace enablers, and structured monitoring and evaluation (MONEV) systems. Success factors include appropriate marketplace selection, community engagement, and government support, while challenges involve monitoring difficulties, a lack of continuous mentorship, and digital literacy gaps. Managerial implications stress the importance of developing standardized training materials in collaboration with relevant associations, establishing clear learning outcomes and fostering continuous mentorship by successful SME champions. The findings of this study also contribute to policy makers and facilitators involved in this program by creating a framework for sustainable collaboration to ensure its long-term success and sustainability.
