Abstract

Program kelas puisi merupakan wadah pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dan menjadi tempat merumuskan dan membahas isu-isu kesusastraan. Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu wujud pengawalan mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia yang turut andil dalam perkembangan dan kemajuan literasi dan kesusastraan di Indonesia untuk memperkenalkan sastra kepada siswa SMA. Secara terperinci, permasalahan yang ditemukan, antara lain: 1) Kurangnya pengetahuan dan skill siswa dalam bidang sastra dan literasi; 2) Tidak tersedianya wadah atau tempat untuk mengembangkan minat dan bakat siswa di bidang literasi dan sastra. Solusi yang ditawarkan ialah program pendidikan tambahan seperti mengadakan program pendidikan di luar jam pelajaran yang fokus pada literasi dan sastra, seperti kelompok diskusi buku, lokakarya menulis, atau lapak baca. Mendukung dan mengembangkan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler yang berhubungan dengan sastra dan literasi, seperti teater serta adanya taman baca untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan skill dan minat siswa terkait sastra.

Abstract

Pelatihan drama menjadi wadah pembelajaran bagi siswa dan Mahasiswa Sastra Indonesia dan menjadi tempat merumuskan dan membahas mengenai kesusastraan. Berdasarkan analisis keadaan, para siswa SMA Negeri 14 Jeneponto sebagian dari mereka memang ada yang sudah mempunya basic skill dalam berdrama, namun mereka belum begitu bisa mempermainkan ekspresinya dan pengetahuan mereka belum luas mengenai drama. Ditemukan beberapa kendala berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan team pengabdi, kendala yang dimaksud adalah: (1) Pengetahuan para siswa tentang drama masih kurang, (2) Para siswa masih sulit mengekspresikan dirinya ketika berdrama, (3) Siswa yang terpilih menjadi aktor jarang menghadiri pelatihan drama, hingga sebagian waktu pelatihan terbuang karena kekurangan aktor. Solusi permasalahan yang diberikan kepada siswa untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra adalah memberi pemahaman untuk para siswa terkait drama, serta mengajarkan mereka basic skill termasuk bagaimana cara berekspresi ketika berdrama. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan skill dan minat siswa terkait sastra.

Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of the language style of public service advertisements (PSAs) about the Covid-19 pandemic on YouTube. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the style of language contained in Public Service Advertisements (PSAs) related to the Covid-19 Pandemic on Youtube. The style of language examined in public service advertisements about the Covid-19 pandemic on YouTube totals eight advertisements. The results of the study regarding the use of language style in PSAs related to covid-19 found by researchers are 28 data which are divided into six personifications, five anaphora, one alliteration, two asindetons, seven polysyndetons, four hyperboles, two similes, and one metaphor

Abstract

This research is a descriptive quantitative study that aims to describe the ability to read aloud Bugis story texts of fifth grade students of SDN 85 Wanua Baru, Maros Regency. The population of this study were all fifth grade students of SDN 85 Wanua Baru, Maros Regency in the 2023/2024 school year, totaling 15 students. The withdrawal of samples in this study was carried out by means of total sampling because the population was less than one hundred. The data collection techniques used in this study were oral test techniques and recording techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. There are four aspects of assessment used in this study, namely aspects of fluency, aspects of the use of intonation, aspects of pronunciation, and aspects of voice volume. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained, it shows that the ability to read aloud Bugis story text of fifth grade students of SDN 85 Wanua Baru Maros Regency, namely (1) the fluency aspect of students who scored above 70, namely 10 people with a percentage of 60% declared unable, (2) the aspect of using intonation of students who scored above 70, namely 8 people with a percentage of 53% declared unable, (3) the aspect of pronunciation of students who scored above 70, namely 3 people with a percentage of 20% declared unable, and (4) the aspect of voice volume of students who scored above 70, namely 12 people with a percentage of 80% declared able

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of ability of class XII IPS students at SMA Negeri 7 Pinrang in differentiating standard vocabulary from non-standard vocabulary. This type of research is quantitative research using a research design based on statistical procedures. The population of this study were all students of class XII IPS at SMAN 7 Pinrang, consisting of three classes with a total of 104 people. The sample for this research was 34 students from class XII IPS. The sample was selected using Random Sampling Technique. Data collection was carried out using test techniques with the form of objective tests. The results of data analysis show that students' mastery in answering questions with standard vocabulary and non-standard vocabulary is 53% in the poor category. Therefore, class XII IPS students at SMA Negeri 7 Pinrang are categorized as less able to differentiate standard vocabulary from non-standard vocabulary based on the KBBI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan jenis metafora dalam pidato Anies Baswedan pada siniar YouTube. Desain penelitian ini yakni deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalan video dari media sosial YouTube. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak dan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan 4 jenis metafora yang digunakan Anies Baswedan dalam pidatonya yaitu metafora bercitra antropomorfik yang mengimplikasikan sifat dan aktivitas yang biasa dilakukan oleh manusia, metafora bercitra abstrak ke konkret yang mengimplikasikan hal abstrak kemudian menjadikannya hal yang nyata, metafora bercitra sinestesia yang mengimplikasikan alat indera manusia serta pengalihan pengalaman, dan mettafora bercitra hewani yang mengimpilikasikan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan hewan untuk pencitraan sesuatu yang lain. Setiap jenis metafora yang digunakan Anies Baswedan dalam pidatonya memiliki makna yang merujuk pada perubahan dan persatuan.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research which aims to determine the improvement of the ability to write procedural texts using group investigation learning model of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bantaeng. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPS 2 consisting of 13 students and 20 female students. The data were obtained using the procedure text writing test. The data analysis technique is using quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that previously in the first cycle, the students' ability to write procedural texts was still minimal due to the lack of understanding of the material. Then, in the second cycle the students were able to determine the theme by collecting essay or reading materials, adjusting the topics that they could develop in the procedure text, and developing the essay outline into a correct and clear instruction. The implementation of the learning process of writing procedural texts using the group investigation learning model of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bantaeng has improved which can be seen in the implementation of the second cycle students are more enthusiastic in participating in learning which is marked by the number of students who dare to ask questions, answer questions and express their opinions

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the form of slang in the school environment of Makassar Mulya Middle School students and (2) describe the influence of the use of slang in the school environment of Makassar Mulya Middle School students on the existence of the Indonesian language. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. using listening and note-taking techniques and equipped with recording and distributing questionnaires. The results of the research show that there are 4 forms of slang used by Makassar Mulya Middle School students, namely: abbreviations, puns, acronyms and new vocabulary. The influence of the use of slang in the school environment of Makassar Mulya Middle School students, namely: related to aspects of creativity, social identity, and adaptation to dynamic cultural changes. Slang has several positive influences, but its excessive or inappropriate use can also have various negative influences on the existence of the Indonesian language, especially related to the decline in the quality of formal language, the potential for misunderstandings, erosion of language norms, and the formation of inappropriate language habits

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the main characters in the novel Semesta Cinta Zahara by Fittriyu Siregaru and to identify the character values instilled by the protagonist. This qualitative descriptive research focuses on two main objectives: (1) to describe the main characters in the novel Semesta Cinta Zahara, and (2) to examine the character values embedded by the protagonist throughout the narrative. The data source for this study is the novel Semesta Cinta Zahara itself. The findings reveal that the protagonist embodies and promotes several key character values, which are grouped into three categories: (a) politeness, (b) diligence in worship and prayer, and (c) responsibility. These values are consistently portrayed through the protagonist’s actions and interactions, making the novel a potential medium for character education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi mengajar guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam menghadapi transformasi pembelajaran melalui Kurikulum Merdeka yang menuntut kreativitas, kemandirian, dan adaptasi terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi mengajar guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka dan mengungkap faktor pendukung dan penghambat guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengembangkan kompetensi mengajar dalam kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field reserch) yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi mengajar guru Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 27 Makassar sudah cukup baik dalam mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, namun terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan. Terdapat beberapa faktor utama yang berupa dukungan dari institusi sekolah, seperti penyediaan fasilitas pembelajaran dan pelatihan internal, serta kebijakan pendidikan melalui Kurikulum Merdeka dan platform Merdeka Mengajar memberikan ruang bagi guru untuk berinovasi. Namun, terdapat beberapa hambatan yang perlu diperhatikan, seperti keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, terutama dalam ketersediaan fasilitas pembelajaran yang belum merata dan akses materi ajar yang terbatas. Dengan demikian, hasil dalam penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat praktis dan teoritis, misalnya rekomendasi pengembangan kompetensi mengajar guru dalam kerangka kurikulum merdeka yang terdapat beberapa aspek perlu di tingkatkan.
