Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the provision of pocket money and the level of desire for mathematics learning among 6th-grade students at SD. Muhammadiyah Pulokadang, Bantul, Indonesia (a private elementary school). This study employs a symmetric correlational methodology with 30 students participating as the sample. Information was collected through the questionnaires and the examination of relevant documentation. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistical methods. The results of the descriptive analysis indicate that the average score for the pocket money questionnaire was 59.23, indicating a sufficient category, while the average score for the desire to learn mathematics questionnaire was 66.40, indicating a good category. The regression coefficient results, with a significance level set at 5%, yielded a significance value of 0.021, which is less than 0.05. Based on these findings, there is a significant and positive relationship between the provision of pocket money and the level of desire to learn mathematics among students. Additionally, this also suggests that the provision of pocket money can have a positive influence on the level of desire to learn mathematics among 6th-grade students.

Abstract

The development of technology and information has influenced various aspects of human life, including education. With these changes, the education sector requires adjustments in learning strategies to align with the advancements in digital information technology. This study aims to identify suitable learning strategies for elementary schools in the digital era. It employs a qualitative research approach using a literature review method. Data were collected through an analysis of various sources, such as journals and books, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique, which consists of three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Several learning strategies can be implemented by elementary school teachers in the digital era, including the development of learning models, evaluation techniques, and learning media that leverage technology. The use of technology-based models, evaluation tools, and media is expected to facilitate students in achieving their learning objectives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of meaningful learning implementation assisted by thematic worksheets on students' mathematical concept understanding and metacognitive skills using a quantitative descriptive approach. The research employs a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design, specifically the One Shot Case Study design, and uses simple random sampling for sampling techniques. The study was conducted in class XI of Dirgantara Putra Bangsa Vocational High School in October 2024, with 30 students participating. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires on the implementation of meaningful thematic learning assisted by worksheets, metacognitive skills questionnaires, and tests on mathematical concept understanding. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Student responses to meaningful learning assisted by thematic worksheets reached 74.62%, categorized as good; (2) The implementation of meaningful learning assisted by thematic worksheets influenced students' mathematical concept understanding by 88.1%; (3) The implementation also impacted students' metacognitive skills with a contribution of 18.9%. These findings suggest that integrating thematic worksheets into meaningful learning enhances both cognitive and metacognitive outcomes. Future research should consider using more relevant or contemporary themes and exploring broader applications across subjects.

Art plays a crucial role in human life, reflecting social, cultural, and religious values. This study examines the concept of art according to Islamic scholars, the Qur'an, and Hadith, as well as the Muhammadiyah perspective. The approach used is literature review. The findings reveal that art in Islam has aesthetic, moral, and spiritual dimensions, serving not only as a visual expression of beauty but also as a means of drawing closer to Allah and improving character. Abstract

Teacher well-being is presumed to influence school effectiveness; however, empirical evidence within the Indonesian context remains limited. This quantitative study examines the relationship between teacher well-being and school effectiveness at Muhammadiyah Mlati Senior High School. Data were collected through a structured survey administered to 36 teachers using a Google Forms questionnaire of 20 items—10 related to teacher well-being and 10 to school effectiveness. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings indicate a statistically significant positive relationship between teacher well-being and school effectiveness (p = 0.033). However, the explanatory power of teacher well-being accounts for only 12.7% of the variance in school effectiveness. These results suggest that while teacher well-being contributes, its impact is relatively modest, highlighting the importance of other influencing variables such as administrative support, organizational climate, and infrastructure availability. The study offers theoretical contributions aligned with Self-Determination Theory and practical implications for policymakers and educational stakeholders, emphasizing the need for comprehensive strategies that integrate teacher welfare, professional development, and managerial improvement to enhance overall educational quality.
