Abstract

Difficulties in the learning and teaching process of endocrine system material that is considered difficult by students can be assisted by teaching materials in the form of E-Booklets to facilitate students in understanding the concept of the endocrine system. The purpose of the study was to develop an endocrine system E-Booklet using Thiagarajan's 4D model which is carried out in 4 stages, namely, 1) Define, namely analyzing and identifying problems to obtain various information related to the product being developed, 2) Design, which is designing a development that can be used in learning, 3) Develop, which is an assessment by validators carried out by testing suitability and feasibility, and 4) Disseminate, which is disseminating limitedly to test schools and will be carried out scientific publications. The data collection technique used questionnaire instruments for suitability, feasibility, and readability. The research subjects were 3 validators and 12 good participants. The test results of the Endocrine System E-Booklet in Humans showed: 1) The suitability test results have a very suitable category (4.39) which means that the E-Booklet is very suitable for learning objectives, media, format, and language; 2) The feasibility test results have a very feasible category (4.49) which means that the E-Booklet in use is very feasible to use as a biology teaching material; 3) The readability test results have a very good category (4.49) which means that it is very well understood by students. Based on the results of the development test, the E-Booklet of the endocrine system has been obtained in the category of very suitable, very feasible, and very good so that it can be used by students and teachers in the biology learning process.Kesulitan dalam proses belajar dan mengajar materi sistem endokrin yang dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik dapat dibantu dengan bahan ajar berbentuk E-Booklet untuk memudahkan peserta didik dalam memahami konsep sistem endokrin. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengembangkan E-Booklet sistem endokrin menggunakan model 4D Thiagarajan yang dilakukan dalam 4 tahapan yaitu, 1) Define, yaitu menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi masalah untuk memperoleh berbagai informasi yang berkaitan dengan produk yang dikembangkan, 2) Design, yaitu merancang suatu pengembangan yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran, 3) Develop, yaitu penilaian oleh validator dilakukan dengan menguji kesesuaian dan kelayakan, dan 4) Disseminate, yaitu menyebarluaskan secara terbatas pada sekolah uji dan akan dilakukan publikasi  ilmiah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket kesesuaian, kelayakan, dan keterbacaan. Subjek penelitian adalah 3 validator dan 12 peserta baik. Hasil pengujian E-Booklet Sistem Endokrin Pada Manusia menunjukkan: 1) Hasil uji kesesuaian memiliki kategori sangat sesuai (4,39) yang berarti E-Booklet sangat sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, media, format, dan bahasa; 2) Hasil uji kelayakan memiliki kategori sangat layak (4,49) yang berarti E-Booklet secara penggunaan sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar biologi; 3) Hasil uji keterbacaan memiliki kategori sangat baik (4,49) yang berarti sangat baik dipahami oleh peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil uji pengembangan telah diperoleh E-Booklet sistem endokrin dalam kategori sangat sesuai, sangat layak, dan sangat baik sehingga dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dan guru dalam proses pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi saat ini sudah banyak dilakukan dan disemua bidang, dan mendukung banyak kegiatan masyarakat. Pembelajaran di era merdeka belajar bisa dilakukan tanpa terbatas ruang, waktu, dan wilayah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk mensosialisasikan penggunaan internet sebagai media pembelajaran di masyarakat sebagai bagian pendidikan di rumah dan lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Karang Indah Kecamatan Mandastana Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Pada kegiatan disampaikan beberapa aplikasi online yang bisa digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi masyarakat baik penggunaan individua tau sebagai orang tua. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan pengetahuan penggunaan internet sebagai media sosial dan dampak positif atau negatif dari internet. Kegiatan diikuti oleh unsur desa dan masyarakat Desa Karang Indah, dan hasil yang dicapai adalah masyarakat semakin mengetahui dan memahami internet sebagai media pembelajaran dengan berbagai aplikasi seperti canva dan media-media sosial lainnya.

Abstract

Practical activities are an inseparable part of biology learning, because through practical work, students will prove concepts or theories that have been obtained through a series of experimental processes so that they can support students in understanding learning materials. The existence of a biology laboratory that supports the success of the biology teaching and learning process must of course meet the minimum requirements for the establishment of a laboratory related to the completeness of tools and facilities in accordance with the standards of educational facilities and infrastructure. The purpose of this study was to analyze the completeness of the chemistry laboratory at SMA Negeri 1 Alalak. Laboratory analysis based on standard facilities and Permendiknas RI No. 24 of 2007. The method used in this research is the descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The school subjects used in this study were SMA Negeri 1 Alalak. The results of the analysis of the completeness of the chemical laboratory at SMA Negeri 1 Alalak showed that 85.8% of the furniture used for practicum was available in the laboratory, while the suitability of the equipment used was 78.2%. For consumables stored in the laboratory as a whole by existing standards (100%), and as much as 100% of other available equipment, so the analysis results show that the chemical laboratory equipment owned by SMA Negeri 1 Alalak is by the standard of facilities. and laboratory infrastructure in this case Permendiknas RI No. 24 of 2007. Abstrak. Kegiatan praktikum merupakan bagian yang tak terpisahkan dalam pembelajaran biologi, karena melalui praktikum peserta didik akan membuktikan konsep atau teori yang sudah didapat melalui serangkaian proses percobaan sehingga dapat menunjang peserta didik untuk memahami materi pembelajaran. Keberadaan laboratorium biologi yang mendukung keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar biologi tentu harus memenuhi syarat minimal berdirinya laboratorium terkait kelengkapan alat dan sarana sesuai dengan standar sarana dan prasarana pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kelengkapan laboratorium Biologi di SMA Negeri 1 Alalak. Analisis laboratorium berdasarkan standar sarana dan prasarana dan Permendiknas RI No. 24 Tahun 2007. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek sekolah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SMA Negeri 1 Alalak. Hasil analisis kelengkapan laboratorium biologi di SMA Negeri 1 Alalak menunjukkan bahwa perabot yang digunakan untuk praktikum tersedia di laboratorium sebesar 85,8%, sedangkan kesesuaian peralatan yang digunakan sebesar 78,2%. Untuk bahan habis pakai yang tersimpan di laboratorium secara keseluruhan sesuai dengan standar yang ada yaitu 100%, dan sebanyak 100% dari peralatan lain yang tersedia, maka hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa peralatan laboratorium biologi yang dimiliki SMA Negeri 1 Alalak sudah sesuai dengan standar sarana dan prasarana laboratorium dalam hal ini Permendiknas RI No. 24 Tahun 2007.

Abstract

The Bukit Manjai Valley Tropical Rainforest Park is home to an abundance of plants that includes a host of Ficus species. The objective of this study was to inventory and descriptively account for the Ficus present in the park. The purposive sampling method was used, where any time we found a Ficus plant, the data collection occurred. Upon finding a Ficus plant, we documented it with photographic evidence and provide scientific identification along with measurements for environmental parameters including air temperature, air humidity (RH), light intensity, soil pH, altitude elevation, soil moisture, and wind speed. The study identified five species of Ficus, specifically, Ficus fistulosa Reinw. Ex Blume, Ficus montana Burm.f., Ficus rosulata C.C.Berg, Ficus uncinata (King) Becc and, Ficus variegata Blume. The study results suggest that the environmental conditions in Bukit Manjai Valley Tropical Rainforest Park, are very conducive for the growth and survival of a variety of Ficus species. This inventory study provides important information to aid the understanding of biodiversity, especially of the Ficus genus, in the tropical rainforest ecosystem of Borneo.

Abstract

This community service project aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable waste management practices among primary school students at SDN Kuin Cerucuk V Banjarmasin. The program targeted students aged 8–12, a critical developmental stage for instilling environmentally responsible behaviour. Using a participatory approach, the activities included educational sessions, practical waste sorting exercises, and the installation of visual learning aids. Pre- and post-intervention assessments were conducted through direct observation and questionnaires to evaluate knowledge acquisition and behavioural changes. The results indicated a substantial improvement in students’ understanding of waste types and segregation practices. Prior to the intervention, 71.4% of students demonstrated limited knowledge, which shifted significantly post-intervention, with 71.4% achieving the highest knowledge category. Observable behavioural changes included consistent use of segregated waste bins and increased attentiveness to school cleanliness. The active involvement of teachers and school management contributed to the program’s success. However, sustainability challenges remain, including limited time for long-term mentoring, resource constraints among staff, and the absence of community-level waste infrastructure. Despite these obstacles, the project demonstrates that early environmental education, supported by collaboration and practical engagement, can effectively foster long-term behavioural change and lay the foundation for an environmentally conscious.

Abstract

Teaching materials are a collection of books containing information or materials that are arranged in an orderly manner to support the learning process. The kapok plant found on the banks of the Aluh Aluh River, Simpang Warga Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, has the potential to be a source of learning based on local potential in the form of popular scientific books. This study aims to determine the population structure of kapok plants and determine the feasibility of popular scientific books on the structure of kapok populations as teaching materials for plant ecology. The method used is the 3-phase Plomp development method, namely preliminary research, prototype making phase, and assessment phase. The teaching materials in the form of popular scientific books that were developed have a validity score with very valid criteria and have a student readability score with very good criteria. So it can be concluded that the teaching materials of popular scientific books on the structure of kapok plant populations can be used as teaching materials in the learning process.

Abstract

Microscopes in learning biology are very important as a tool for students in studying microscopic organisms and objects that cannot be seen by the eye directly. The results of the needs analysis show that biology education students in the Year of 2022 have never received training in the use and maintenance of microscopes and have never used a microscope with a magnification of 1000x. therefore, 98% of the survey results to participants indicate the need for training in the use of microscopes. The training on the use of light microscope was trained to make wet mount preparations of Rhoeo discolor leaf stomata and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flower pollen. The microscopes used were monocular microscope and electric binocular microscope. The microscope magnifications used were 10x10; 10x40; and 10x100. The training results show that students are able to use all microscope magnifications and figures of the results of microscope observations well and clearly. The results of the microscope proficiency test were 21.06%, very good; 45.61% good/adequate grades; 24.56 adequate grades, but there were 8.7% still getting poor grades. The next service can be trained in making preparations with the whole mount preparation method, squash method for mitosis observation, slice preparation method without embedding and slice preparation method with paraffin method.

Abstract

The ability of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) needed by students to analyze immune system concepts was not easy to understood by the students. This research development E-booklet because the results of the questionnaire analysis of the needs of teachers and students expected teaching materials that are simple, with easy-to-understand sentences, and have interesting picture illustrations. The purpose of this research is to describe the suitability, feasibility, readability, and effectiveness of the development E-booklet on the concept of the immune system. This research and development with the 4D model; 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminate. The subjects of this research 3 validators and 12 students of class XII SMAN 1 Alalak. The Define stage resulted in needs analysis, learner analysis, task analysis, concept analysis, and specification of learning objectives. The design stage resulted in the preparation of criterion reference tests, media selection, format selection and E-booklet design. The Develop stage produces data on suitability, feasibility, readability and effectiveness.  The results of testing the suitability of the E-booklet indicate that it is very suitable with a score of 4.45, meaning that the E-booklet is in accordance with the aspects of learning objectives, language, format and media. The results of feasibility testing indicate that it is very feasible with a score of 4.48, meaning that the E-booklet is feasible to be used by students. The readability results indicate that it is very good with a score of 4.56, meaning that the E-booklet is easy to read and understood by students. The effectiveness test results obtained a pretest score of 19.81 and a posttest score of 56.96, an increase score of 37.15 after using the E-booklet. The booklet of immune system concepts can be used to guide students in the learning of immune system material to improve learning outcomes, especially the ability to analyse the immune system. Abstrak. Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) perlu dimiliki peserta didik untuk menganalisis materi sistem imun karena dianggap tidak mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan E-booklet dikarenakan hasil angket analisis kebutuhan guru dan siswa mengharapkan adanya bahan ajar yang singkat, kalimat yang mudah dipahami dan ada ilustrasi gambar menarik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan kesesuaian, kelayakan, keterbacaan dan keefektifan terhadap hasil pengembangan E-booklet konsep sistem imun. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan model 4D yaitu, 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, dan 4) Disseminate. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu 3 validator dan 12 peserta didik kelas XII SMAN 1 Alalak. Tahapan Define didapatkan hasil analisis kebutuhan, analisis peserta didik, analisis tugas, analisis konsep, dan spesifikasi tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap Design didapatkan hasil penyusunan tes acuan kriteria, pemilihan media, pemilihan format dan rancangan E-booklet. Untuk mengetahui kesesuian, kelayakan dan keterbacaan maka data yang awalnya berupa skor diolah menjadi data kualitatif (data interval) dengan skala likert. E-booklet menandakan sangat sesuai dengan skor 4,45, artinya E-booklet sesuai dengan aspek tujuan pembelajaran, bahasa, format dan media. Hasil pengujian kelayakan menandakan sangat layak dengan skor yaitu 4,48, artinya E-booklet layak digunakan oleh peserta didik. Hasil keterbacaan menandakan sangat baik dengan skor yaitu 4,56, artinya E-booklet mudah dibaca dan dipahami oleh peserta didik. Hasil uji keefektifan didapatkan hasil nilai pretest (19,81) dan posttest (56,96) adanya peningkatan nilai setelah penggunaan E-booklet sebesar 37,15. E-booklet konsep sistem imun ini dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sistem imun untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar, khususnya kemampuan menganalisis terhadap sistem imun.

Abstract

The Merdeka curriculum implemented in Indonesian schools allows teachers to create, select and modify teaching modules according to the context and needs of the learners. This research was used to develop a biology teaching module by exploring the potential of plants biodiversity in South Kalimantan, especially exotic fruit plants using the syntax of STEM-Project Based Learning model. The biology teaching module development design was used the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation).The results of the development in the form of teaching modules that have three sub-topics namely 1) levels of biodiversity (genes, species, and ecosystems); 2) species diversity of exotic fruit flora of South Kalimantan and 3) Biodiversity conservation efforts. The Teaching Module has complete components consisting of general information, core components and attachments. Validity and feasibility tests involved 3 experts (biology teachers with more than 5 years of teaching experience) and 10 students from SMAN 7 Banjarmasin. Data analysis was done descriptively from validity and feasibility test data. The results showed that the developed product is feasible to use in the learning process of biodiversity of E phase students in class X with excellent and very valid categories
