Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of ice cream stick learning media can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in multiplication material in grade II students of SD Negeri 59 Palembang. This research uses an experimental method, namely True Experiment Design. With Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample in this study was class IIA and IIB students totaling 55 students, a random sampling technique was taken. Based on the results of the hypothesis test conducted by this researcher using the t-test of two free samples (Independent sample t-test) obtained tcount results of 5.075 and ttable value = 1.674 with α = 0.05 and df = 5, then tcalculate > ttable so that H0 is rejected. From the hypothetical data, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the application of ice cream stick learning media to mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students of SD Negeri 59 Palembang.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui Kuliah Kerja Nyata ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi salah satu dampak program KKN-Kreatif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak-anak Desa Talang Balai Lama. Pemilihan desa ini  sebagai tempat pelaksanaan Kuliah Kerja Nyata mempertimbangkan kebutuhan masyarakat setempat, khususnya dari tingkat pendidikan dan akses terhadap sumber daya pendidikan yang masih terbatas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui data dan dokumentasi yang dikumpulkan pada tahap observasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan dokumentasi langsung. Peserta KKN-Kreatif dilibatkan dalam menyusun dan melaksanakan program untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak-anak di Desa Talang Balai Lama. Program ini mencakup berbagai kegiatan seperti pelatihan literasi, pengembangan keterampilan, dan pengenalan budaya lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak-anak di Desa Talang Balai Lama meningkat secara signifikan setelah mengikuti program KKN-Kreatif. Secara khusus, terjadi peningkatan literasi, numerasi, dan keterampilan seni. Selain itu, anak-anak juga mengalami peningkatan dalam kepercayaan diri dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial di masyarakat. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap literatur tentang pendidikan partisipatif dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Program KKN-Kreatif terbukti efektif  meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak-anak di daerah terpencil. Implikasi kebijakan yang timbul dari studi ini adalah perlunya dukungan yang lebih besar terhadap program serupa di berbagai daerah pedesaan untuk meningkatkan akses dan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis digital. Melihat kebutuhan akan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam hal ini, Universitas PGRI Palembang melaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berupa pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran digital bagi guru-guru SD Negeri 236 Palembang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan platform PowToon. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test serta analisis hasil karya peserta. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini antara lain meningkatnya kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran digital, sertifikasi peserta, serta publikasi artikel ilmiah dalam jurnal pengabdian. Program ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran yang lebih efektif, kreatif, dan modern di lingkungan sekolah dasar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this study includes low student mathematics learning outcomes, lack of student participation in the learning process, and minimal use of innovative learning methods by teachers. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 84 Palembang, especially on pictogram material. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and an unequal control group. The study population consisted of 36 fourth grade students of SDN 84 Palembang, which were divided into two classes: class IVA as the experimental group (19 students) and class IVB as the control group (17 students). Data were collected through observation, documentation, and learning outcome tests including pretest and posttest. Data analysis was carried out by testing normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught with the TPS model and those taught with conventional methods, as seen from the average posttest score of the experimental class which was higher than the control class. Thus, the Think Pair Share learning model is proven to have a positive and significant influence in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes on pictogram material. Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is: is there an influence of the syllable method on the early reading abilities of first-grade students at SD Negeri 68 Palembang? The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the syllable method on the early reading abilities of first-grade students at SD Negeri 68 Palembang. The method used in this research is an experimental study with a quasi-experimental design. The data collection techniques in this study involve tests and documentation, while the data analysis technique uses normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using an independent simple t-test. Based on the research results, it shows that there is an effect of the syllable method on the early reading abilities of first-grade students, as seen from the hypothesis test results where the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05 and t-count 4.991 > 2.023, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. syllable method assisted by flashcard media, reading ability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning obstacle experienced by fifth-grade students in understanding fraction material at SDN 231 Palembang. Fraction are a fundamental component of elementary mathematics education, yet many students still struggle to comprehend and solve problems involving fractional operations. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data werw collected through diagnoctic tests, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. the analysis revealed three types of learning obstacle: (1) Ontogenic Obstacle, releted to students’ mental readiness and foundational skills; (2) Didactical Obstacle, resulting from ineffective instructional strategies; and (3) Epistemological Obstacle, referring to students’ limited knowledge that is confined to specific contexts. This study provides insights into the difficulties students face in learning fractions and serves as a basis for developing more effective teaching strategied.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low student learning outcomes below the KKTP of class IV in Pancasila Education Lessons. This is because students have difficulty in understanding the meaning of Pancasila values and students have not been able to apply Pancasila values in everyday life. So that an effective learning model is needed to improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education Lessons, namely the project based learning model. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were all students of SD Negeri 96 Palembang, totaling 156 students consisting of 6 study groups, namely class one to class six. The sample used in this study was 20 students from class IV consisting of 12 boys and 8 girls. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is the T test. Based on the results of the T test analysis, the t-test value> t table is 15.807> 2.093, which means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest values and the sig value (2-tailed) 0.000<0.05 so that H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that the project based learning model has an effect on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in grade IV of SD Negeri 96 Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of smart ladder learning media on the understanding of mathematical concepts in the addition and subtraction material of grade I elementary school students at SDN 10 Payaraman. The type of research used is quantitative research with only posttest group design. The subjects of the study consisted of 35 grade I students divided into two groups, Class IA (20 students) as the experimental class and class IB (15 students) as the control class. Data collection techniques include observation, test methods and documentation. The results of the study showed that students who learned using the smart ladder learning media obtained better learning outcomes as evidenced by the average posttest score of the experimental class of 85.5, while the control class obtained an average score of 51.33%. This difference shows that the use of smart ladder learning media has a positive impact on the understanding of mathematical concepts in the addition and subtraction material. Therefore, this media is an alternative support in the mathematics learning process in the early grades of elementary school.
