Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the murabbi (spiritual mentor) in the process of transforming students’ religious character through halakah tarbiyah activities and to examine the internalization of the 5M values (mukmin, mushlih, mujahid, mutqin, and muta’awin) at the Wahdah Islamiyah Cibinong Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that halakah tarbiyah functions as the main instrument for character formation through a process of structured spiritual guidance and collective religious practices. The murabbi plays a central role as a facilitator, role model, and motivator in instilling Islamic values. The internalization of the 5M values is carried out gradually through halakah sessions, mentoring, and daily evaluations. These values have proven effective in fostering students’ religious awareness, moral responsibility, and worship discipline. The contribution of this study lies in strengthening a tarbiyah-based character education model that is relevant to the development of Islamic formation systems in modern Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Westernization and the currents of globalization have facilitated the spread of educational liberalism, gradually eroding students’ faith and moral character as acts of immorality increasingly become perceived as part of societal culture. This growing concern over various forms of student social deviation underscores the importance of studying the implementation of educational methods in shaping the character of elementary school students, so that children can be guided early to develop noble morals and grow into a distinguished generation. Using a qualitative approach, this study collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed it using descriptive-interpretative techniques, with the research conducted at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Al-Hidayah Bogor. The findings indicate that integrative educational methods function effectively and systematically when aligned with a supportive school system and environment, enabling learning activities and school programs to synergize in forming students’ character at school, at home, and within the community through five main methods: exemplary behavior (keteladanan), habituation, encouragement and deterrence (targhib and tarhib), storytelling, and reflection and contemplation (tafakkur and tadabbur).

Abstract

This study examines the integrated Islamic education system developed by the Wahdah Islamiyah Movement as a contemporary model that harmoniously integrates spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions. The main objective is to provide a philosophical analysis of the ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations of Wahdah Islamiyah’s educational system in shaping insan kamil (a holistic human being) grounded in tauhid values. Using a qualitative approach with philosophical analysis, this research draws upon official documents, scholarly works of Wahdah Islamiyah’s leaders, and relevant prior studies. The findings indicate that Wahdah Islamiyah’s educational system is integrative, transformative, and rooted in Qur’anic and Prophetic principles. It emphasizes the harmony between knowledge and practice, intellect and spirituality, as well as between formal, non-formal, and informal education. The novelty of this research lies in identifying the philosophical synthesis achieved by Wahdah Islamiyah, which bridges the ideals of classical Islamic education with the demands of modern educational paradigms. This study contributes conceptually to the development of an integrated Islamic education model relevant to contemporary global and societal challenges.  Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji sistem pendidikan Islam terpadu yang dikembangkan oleh Gerakan Wahdah Islamiyah sebagai model pendidikan Islam kontemporer yang memadukan dimensi spiritual, intelektual, dan sosial secara seimbang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis secara filosofis landasan ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologis sistem pendidikan Wahdah Islamiyah dalam membentuk insan kamil yang berkarakter tauhid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis filosofis melalui telaah dokumen resmi, karya tokoh-tokoh Wahdah Islamiyah, serta hasil penelitian terdahulu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem pendidikan Wahdah Islamiyah bersifat integratif, transformatif, dan berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah. Model ini menekankan keselarasan antara ilmu dan amal, akal dan hati, serta antara pendidikan formal, non-formal, dan informal. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada temuan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah berhasil mengintegrasikan idealisme pendidikan Islam klasik dengan kebutuhan pendidikan modern dalam satu kerangka filosofis yang koheren. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan model pendidikan Islam terpadu yang relevan dengan tantangan global dan kebutuhan umat.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan kepada masyarakat merupakan strategi dalam membangun potensi masyarakat berbasis kerakyatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Peran Dosen STAI Al-Hidayah Bogor dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan metode penelitian berbentuk kualitatif studi kasus, pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi serta analis data menggunakan deskriptif interpretatif dengan tempat penelitian di Desa Cihideung Udik Kecamatan Ciampea Kabupaten Bogor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan harus tetap berada dalam kerangka ajaran Islam supaya tercipta kesejahteraan bersifat lahir dan batin yang berorientasi kemajuan duniawi dan kebahagiaan ukhrawi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Cihideung Udik Kecamatan Ciampea Kabupaten Bogor dilaksanakan dalam pemberdayaan melalui program pemberdayaan desa pada bidang keagamaan, bidang Pendidikan dan pada kegiatan sosial. Pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman ini berimplikasi terhadap ketahanan keagamaan masayakat khususnya menghadapi keterbukaan informasi dan teknologi di era digital.

Abstract

This article explores the concept of tadabbur Al-Qur’an from the perspective of Nashir Al-‘Umar and its implications for the development of contemporary Islamic education. The study is motivated by the weakening interaction between Muslims and the Qur’an, which is often limited to recitation (tilawah) and memorization (tahfiz), while the dimensions of deep reflection and inner meaning are frequently neglected. This research aims to explain the essence of tadabbur according to Al-‘Umar, distinguish it from tafsir and other forms of interaction such as ta’wīl and ta’ammul, and outline its relevance for renewing the paradigm of Islamic education. Based on a literature review of Al-‘Umar’s works and classical tafsir references, the study finds that tadabbur is understood as a profound process of contemplating the meanings, wisdoms, and consequences of Qur’anic verses by integrating the functions of the intellect, heart, and action. In the educational context, tadabbur implies an epistemological and pedagogical reorientation from textual-based learning models toward reflective and transformative models that foster spiritual awareness and Qur’anic character. Furthermore, tadabbur serves as a foundation for moral formation, spiritual renewal, and the development of a knowledge-based civilization rooted in revelation. Artikel ini membahas konsep tadabbur Al-Qur’an dalam perspektif Nashir Al-‘Umar serta implikasinya terhadap pengembangan pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan melemahnya interaksi umat Islam dengan Al-Qur’an yang sering kali terbatas pada aspek tilawah dan hafalan, sementara dimensi perenungan dan penghayatan maknanya masih terabaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan hakikat tadabbur menurut Al-‘Umar, membedakannya dari tafsir dan bentuk interaksi lain dengan Al-Qur’an seperti ta’wīl dan ta’ammul, serta menguraikan relevansinya bagi pembaruan paradigma pendidikan Islam. Berdasarkan kajian literatur terhadap karya-karya Al-‘Umar dan referensi tafsir klasik, ditemukan bahwa tadabbur dipahami sebagai proses perenungan mendalam terhadap makna, hikmah, dan konsekuensi ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an yang mengintegrasikan fungsi akal, hati, dan amal. Dalam konteks pendidikan, tadabbur berimplikasi pada reorientasi epistemologis dan pedagogis dari model pembelajaran tekstual menuju model reflektif dan transformatif yang menumbuhkan kesadaran spiritual serta karakter Qur’ani. Selain itu, tadabbur juga berfungsi sebagai fondasi pembentukan akhlak, pembaruan ruhani, dan pembangunan peradaban ilmu yang berakar pada wahyu.

Abstract

This article examines the integration of da‘wah and education in the Wahdah Islamiyah Movement from the perspective of contemporary Islamic da‘wah, positioning da‘wah as an educational and social transformation process. The study aims to analyze the forms, mechanisms, and implications of integrating da‘wah and education in shaping Muslim character and strengthening socio-religious engagement. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis of educational systems, da‘wah programs, and cadre development practices within Wahdah Islamiyah. The findings reveal that Wahdah Islamiyah implements a systematic, structured, and sustainable integration of da‘wah and education based on Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama‘ah theology, tiered tarbiyah models, comprehensive da‘i cadre formation, the use of digital da‘wah media, and da‘wah bil-hal through educational and social empowerment programs. The da‘i cadre system serves as the central nexus between da‘wah and education, functioning not merely to produce preachers but also educators and agents of social change characterized by the 5M values (Mu’min, Muslih, Mujahid, Muta‘awin, and Mutqin). This study contributes to contemporary Islamic da‘wah scholarship by offering an integrative da‘wah-educational model that is adaptive, participatory, and contextually responsive to modern societal challenges.

Abstract

This study is important due to the degradation of students’ adab (moral conduct), which has become a serious challenge in contemporary Islamic education, particularly amid the dominance of cognitive achievement and rote memorization. This research aims to analyze the implementation of adab education through the teaching of Ayyuhal Walad by Imam Al-Ghazali at Pesantren Tahfidz Wahdah Islamiyah Cibinong, encompassing the learning process, strategies for internalizing moral values, and its impact on students’ character formation. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that the teaching of Ayyuhal Walad is conducted in an interactive, reflective, and applicative manner through text reading, meaning explanation, discussion, and teachers’ moral guidance. The main adab values internalized include the practice of knowledge, sincerity, time discipline, respect for teachers, and an increase in students’ voluntary worship. The novelty of this study lies in strengthening an adab-based educational model rooted in classical Islamic texts that is systematically integrated into a modern tahfidz pesantren. The implications of this research suggest that turath-based adab education can serve as a policy reference for strengthening character education in Islamic educational institutions and pesantren.

Abstract

Fenomena ganti menteri ganti kebijakan memengaruhi arah pendidikan, termasuk peralihan Kurikulum 2013 ke Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara komparatif implementasi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di SMAN 1 Dramaga Bogor. Metode kualitatif digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis deskriptif-interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adaptasi pergantian kurikulum terlaksana baik, didukung komitmen guru, staf, dan kepala sekolah. Kendala Kurikulum 2013 terletak pada kompleksitas administrasi dan asesmen terstruktur yang sulit mengukur capaian siswa secara komprehensif. Sementara itu, Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut fleksibilitas, kemandirian sekolah, dan inovasi evaluasi holistik. Keterbatasan jam pelajaran menjadi hambatan mendalami materi, diperlukan optimalisasi waktu, integrasi nilai Islam dengan mata pelajaran lain, bahan ajar terpadu, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Penelitian ini berimplikasi mendorong strategi adaptif pembelajaran agama yang relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa dan perkembangan zaman. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran, Kurikulum, Pendidikan Agama Islam

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Wahdah Islamiyah in maintaining social diversity and strengthening social cohesion in Bulukumba Regency. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study strategy, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of Wahdah Islamiyah’s da‘wah, educational, and social activities. The findings indicate that Wahdah Islamiyah actively contributes to managing diversity through inclusive community-based da‘wah, the implementation of moderate and integrated Islamic education, and non-discriminatory cross-identity social programs. Although ideologically grounded in the Salafi manhaj, Wahdah Islamiyah’s socio-religious practices in Bulukumba are adaptive, persuasive, and context-sensitive, enabling the organization to build bridging social capital and function as a civil Islam actor at the local level. The study concludes that Wahdah Islamiyah plays a significant role in fostering harmony and social cohesion within a plural society, despite facing internal challenges related to cadres’ limited capacity in pluralism issues and external challenges in the form of persistent conservative stigma. [Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Wahdah Islamiyah dalam menjaga keberagaman dan memperkuat kohesi sosial masyarakat di Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus, melalui pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap aktivitas dakwah, pendidikan, dan sosial Wahdah Islamiyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah berperan aktif dalam merawat keberagaman melalui dakwah inklusif berbasis komunitas, pengelolaan pendidikan Islam yang moderat dan terintegrasi, serta program sosial lintas identitas yang bersifat non-diskriminatif. Meskipun berlandaskan manhaj salafi, praktik sosial-keagamaan Wahdah Islamiyah di Bulukumba bersifat adaptif, persuasif, dan kontekstual, sehingga mampu membangun bridging social capital dan berfungsi sebagai aktor civil Islam di tingkat lokal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Wahdah Islamiyah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam membangun harmoni dan kohesi sosial di tengah masyarakat plural, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan internal berupa keterbatasan kapasitas kader dalam isu pluralisme serta tantangan eksternal berupa stigma konservatisme. Abstract

Today’s global humanitarian crises—ranging from armed conflicts, refugee displacement, extreme famine, to ecological disasters—require an ethical framework capable of balancing universal human values with religious moral principles. Islamic ethics, grounded in the concept of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, which emphasizes the protection of life (ḥifẓ al-nafs), intellect (ḥifẓ al-‘aql), and human dignity (ḥifẓ al-‘ird), offers an important perspective in responding to contemporary humanitarian challenges. However, studies examining the direct application of Islamic ethics in modern humanitarian practices, particularly within digital spaces and online communities, remain limited. This research employs a netnography approach to explore digital interactions, narratives, and discourses related to humanitarian actions inspired by Islamic ethical values across social media platforms, community forums, and websites of Islamic philanthropic organizations. Data were collected through online participatory observation, analysis of digital conversations, and virtual in-depth interviews with humanitarian activists. The findings reveal that the values of rahmah (compassion), ‘adl (justice), and ukhuwwah insāniyyah (human solidarity) serve as key moral foundations, while social media functions not only as a fundraising tool but also as a space where Islamic ethics are interpreted and mobilized to address global issues such as climate crises, forced migration, and inequality.
