Abstract

Picture card media is a learning aid used to improve the ability to recognize number concepts. By using picture card media, children can easily visualize the concept of numbers and hone their ability to recognize numbers and count sequentially. This research aims to increase understanding of the concept of numbers 1-10 using picture cards as media. The inability to correctly identify the concept of numbers 1 to 10 was the driving force for this research. This research uses a type of classroom action research. Classroom Action Research is a research method carried out to improve and enhance learning outcomes in the form of cycles. In each class action research cycle, the teacher carries out planning, action, observation, reflection, and modification to achieve the set learning objectives. Twelve children will be research subjects. Data collection techniques involve observation and documentation. To convert data into percentages, data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. With picture card media, research results regarding increasing children's understanding of the numbers 1–10 can be improved. The results showed that before the action the child's ability to understand the concept of numbers 1-10 gained a percentage of 16.67%. Then it increased to 50% in Cycle I and continued to increase to 83.33% in Cycle II. These results support that picture cards are a useful medium for teaching the concept of numbers 1-10. Picture card media can be used as an alternative to improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers 1-10.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years at RA Miftahul Hidayah through ball games and catching activities. Gross motor skills are a crucial aspect of child development and include basic physical abilities such as hand-eye coordination, balance, and physical strength. This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Taggart cycle model. The findings show that after participating in ball-catching activities, the children's gross motor skills significantly improved, with a success rate of 75% in the second cycle. Although these results indicate that ball-catching is an effective strategy for developing children's gross motor skills, challenges remain, including differences in the children's initial abilities and the need for adjustments in teaching methods.

Abstract

Language is a vital tool for human communication. Young children use it to express their thoughts, feelings, and desires. This study aimed to enhance the language skills of Group A students at PKK Ika Karya Bhakti Kindergarten in Probolinggo through storytelling with finger puppets. Employing Classroom Action Research, the researcher sought to address the limited speaking abilities of 13 out of 17 children in pronouncing sentences and recounting personal experiences. The findings demonstrate that the finger puppet approach effectively improved the language skills of these young learners. Specifically, language skills increased from 48% before the intervention to 72.4% after Cycle I and further to 83.8% after Cycle II.  Finger puppets can be a valuable tool for helping young children develop their language skills, especially those who may struggle to express themselves verbally.

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden period where a child's brain develops and absorbs various things optimally at the same time, so it is an ideal period to lay the foundation for his future life. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of scissors on fine motor skills in young children. The cutting activity is designed to train children's fine motor skills, especially their fingers. The research method used is quantitative research using a single pre-test and post-test group as the research design. The data analysis technique uses a paired sample t-test, one of the test methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment, which characterizes the difference in average values before and after the start of treatment. Based on the research results, in the mandatory test using the normality test and homogeneity test, the sign value for the normality test was 0.200 and the sign value for the homogeneity test was 0.400. In the paired sample test, after the test was carried out, it was found that the sign value was 0.000, where this sign value was less than 0.05. This study concluded that there was an influence of cutting activities on fine motor skills of children.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a form of education aimed at optimizing children's growth and development. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of papercraft on the cutting skills of young children. This research uses an experimental research design. Experimental research in education is a research activity aimed at evaluating the effects of educational treatments on children's behavior or testing the hypothesis of whether or not there is an influence of handicrafts on children's cutting skills. The design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. Based on the research results, the significance value of p is 0.003 <0.05, thus H0 is accepted, indicating that there is a significant effect on the cutting skills of children between the pretest and posttest at TK Nurus Sa'adah 03. From the results of the Wilcoxon test, which showed that there was no decline in cutting skills. In the positive range, there is an improvement from pre-test to post-test. This improvement can be seen in the similarity between the pretest and posttest, with 1 child showing neither improvement nor decline. Therefore, there are 11 children whose cutting skills improved through the papercraft activities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of microlearning-based instructional media in improving the language literacy skills of elementary school students. The microlearning media developed consists of short videos using a chunk-based approach that includes pre-learning, core, and post-learning activities. The study employed the research and development with ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments used included surveys, interviews, and observations, while data analysis techniques involved quantitative analysis (pretest and posttest) and qualitative analysis from interviews and observations.  Validation was carried out by media and education experts, followed by revisions based on the feedback provided. The implementation involved 60 fourth and fifth-grade students at elementary schools for Indonesian language lessons. Evaluation results showed an average increase of 34.35% in students' language literacy skills after using the media. Students also gave positive feedback on the clarity and presentation of the materials through the microlearning videos. Based on these results, microlearning media can be considered an effective tool for improving students' language literacy, reading skills, reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary mastery, and sentence construction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pengembangan media pembelajaran yang kontekstual untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus anak usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media Puzzle berbasis kearifan lokal jember yang layak dan efektif untuk mempromosikan keterampilan motorik anak usia dini di TK Al Hidayah III. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan dalam model  ADDIE. Produk yang di hasilkan yaitu media pembelajaran puzzle berbasis kearifan lokal jember dalam merangsang motorik halus pada anak usia dini.  Hasil verifikasi media penelitian oleh ahli media belajar mencapai nilai 95% menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik. Siswa di TK Al Hidayah III sudah bisa memegang pensil . Guru dituntut untuk membuat media pembelajaran agar anak tidak bosan. Sebelum diadakannya penelitian di TK Al Hidayah III terdapat 6 siswa yang kurang dalam perkembangan motorik halus dan 9 siswa yang sudah baik dalam memegang pensil dalam 15 siswa. Setelah media puzzle diberikan terdapat 4 siswa yang mulai memahami dengan baik, 5 siswa yang berkembang sesuai harapan, dan 6 siswa yang sudah berkembang sangat baik. Kesimpulan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post test, karena nilai teknik t-hitung (5.801) lebih besar dari t-table (1.761) menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal Jember lebih efektif. Ada bukti statistik yang kuat bahwa ada perbedaan atau dampak yang signifikan dalam data yang diuji.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the suboptimal gross motor development of 3-4 year-old children at the MAWAR II Jember Kindergarten, which risks hampering their independence and self-confidence. The focus of this study was to improve children's gross motor skills, including balance, strength, and flexibility, through the implementation of a large ball throwing and catching game. As a crucial step, this study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, implemented in two cycles with 20 children. Each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection, with data collected through observation sheets and performance tests. The main findings showed a very significant improvement. In the first cycle, the average achievement of indicators was still below 50%, but after improvements in the second cycle, there was a surge in achievement exceeding the 75% success target, with balance indicators reaching 81%, strength 93%, and flexibility 92%. In conclusion, implementing a structured ball throwing game has proven to be a highly effective strategy for improving gross motor skills in 3-4 year-old children by stimulating optimal physical development through enjoyable play activities. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar anak, yang mencakup aspek keseimbangan, kekuatan, dan kelenturan, melalui implementasi permainan melempar dan menangkap bola besar. Sebagai langkah penting, penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pada 20 anak. Setiap siklus mencakup tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan tes kinerja. Temuan utama menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Pada siklus I, rata-rata pencapaian indikator masih di bawah 50%, namun setelah perbaikan pada siklus II, terjadi lonjakan pencapaian yang melampaui target keberhasilan 75%, dengan indikator keseimbangan mencapai 81%, kekuatan 93%, dan kelenturan 92%. Kesimpulannya, penerapan permainan melempar bola secara terstruktur terbukti menjadi strategi yang sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar anak usia 3-4 tahun, dengan menstimulasi perkembangan fisik secara optimal melalui kegiatan bermain yang menyenangkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Untuk mengetahui penerapan metode pembelajaran Pair Chek dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dan Untuk mengetahui peningkatkan hasil belajar siswa setelah Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Pair Chek siswa kelas V SDN 9 Patokan Pada Materi Pokok Daur Air Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas atau PTK. Penelitian ini menggunakan adaptasi model Hopkins, yaitu model skema yang menggunakan prosedur yang dipandang sebagai suatu siklus spiral. Siklus ini terdiri dari empat fase yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi yang diikuti siklus spiral berikutnya penelitian ini menggunakan suatu siklus yang mencakup empat tahap tersebut. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 9 Patokan yang merupakan kelas dengan tingkat kemampuan yang heterogen. Hasil Penelitian didapat bahwa pada observasi aktivitas belajar siswa pada pertemuan I mencapai rata-rata 62,96%, dan pertemuan II mencapai 66,67%. Pertemuan III mencapai rata-rata 75,93% dan Pertemuan IV mencapai rata-rata 85,19%. Maka untuk aktivitas belajar siswa dikategorikan sangat baik. Sedangkan untuk Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 78% dan pada siklus II ini sudah mencapai standar ketuntasan klasikal 89% sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa tindakan pada siklus II ini berhasil karena telah mencapai ketuntasan klasikal syang diterapkan pihak sekolah yakni mencapai 85%.
