Abstract

Vaksinasi Covid-19 merupakan upaya pemerintah untuk mengendalikan laju penyebaran virus Covid-19. Diharapkan dengan vaksinasi mampu terbentuknya herd immunity atau kekebalan kelompok yang dapat menurunkan angka penyebaran antar orang. Namun, banyak di antara masyarakat yang belum mengerti dan paham maksud dari vaksinasi Covid-19 yang digalakkan oleh pemerintah. Langkah pemerintah dalam mensukseskan program vaksinasi ini, diawali dengan membangun narasi tentang pentingnya vaksinasi Covid-19. Sosialisasi vaksinasi harus dilakukan serempak dan masif di seluruh Indonesia melalui media-media. Tidak terkecuali Pemerintah Daerah Kota Semarang melalui Dinas Kesehatan Kota Semarang (DKK Semarang) khususnya bagian humas, juga melakukan sosialisasi vaksinasi Covid-19 pada anak mulai tanggal 14 Desember 2021 melalui instagram. Adapun metode penelitian ini adalah diskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, studi dokumen, dan studi literatur. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui bagaimana dan apa saja strategi yang telah dilakukan oleh Humas DKK Semarang dalam mensosialisasikan vaksinasi covid-19 pada anak melalui official akun instagram @dkksemarang. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa Humas DKK Semarang melakukan lima pendekatan dalam strategi publik relation, dan juga mengimplementasikan unsur 7C yang terdiri dari Credibility, Context, Content, Clarity, Continuity and consistency, Channel dan Capability of the audiens. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah strategi publik relation yang dilakukan telah berjalan sesuai dengan rencana dan tujuan dari DKK Semarang. Kata Kunci: Public Relation, Covid-19, Instagram.

Abstract

Event Semarang Night Carnival merupakan kegiatan tahunan di Kota Semarang, kegiatan yang dilaksanakan sebagai agenda tahunan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini  adalah Untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis Strategi Komunikasi yang digunakan oleh Disbudpar Kota Semarang dalam mengkampanyekan Semarang Night Carnival 2022 dengan menggunakan social media Instagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskrptif. Tahapan pengambilan data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pada uji kredibilitas menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media sosial Instagram bisa dibilang cukup berhasil dan memperoleh hasil yang positif dan bisa dijadikan sebagai bahan landasan strategi program selanjutnya dalam menyukseskan event selanjutnya. Hal ini juga membuktikan bahwa Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Semarang dalam hal ini juga menggunakan strategi komunikasi yakni pada tahap pelaporan dalam mengkampanyekan event Semarang Night Carnival 2022 walaupun tanpa menggunakan postingan-postingan yang diuploud dalam akun Instagram Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Semarang dalam menyampaikan kesuksesan penggunaan media sosial Instagram untuk kampanye Semarang Night Carnival 2022.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi pertanian menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam mendorong produktivitas pertanian. Besarnya potensi sektor pertanian di Sumatera Utara mendorong kebutuan inovasi menjadi kebutuhan mendesak. Melalui model Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) inovasi tersebut menjadi salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan keamanan pertanian meski penerapannya masih terbatas. Melalui komunikasi pembangunan yang menyampaikan pesan inovasi menjadi kebutuhan penting dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendekatan komunikasi pembangunan dalam pengembangan inovasi GAP di Sumatera Utara. Metode penelitian digunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggumpulkan literatur yang kemudian dianalisis. Hasil menunjukan, inovasi berbasis GAP di Sumatera Utara membutukan pendekatan komunikasi pembangunan yang lebih luas. Pendekatan berbasis budaya lokal, dan meningkatkan interakasi pengembangan. Media masa dan komunikasi langsung menjadi upaya penting dilakukan. Inovasi berbasis GAP dapat meningkatkan kesejateraan petani dan keamanan. GAP dapat mendorong pertanian berkelanjutan. Partisipasi menyeluruh antar pemangku kepentingan dapat mempercepat penerapan GAP.

Abstract

Introduction: The 2024 Indonesian presidential election will see significant Generation Z participation, yet unverified political information may affect their understanding. The documentary ‘Dirty Vote’ has the potential to enhance political knowledge and influence voting decisions, particularly regarding election fraud--a key concern for Generation Z voters who are active digitally but vulnerable to misinformation. Using the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM), this study examines how the documentary influences political knowledge, mediates voting decisions, and affects political engagement. The research evaluates whether ‘Dirty Vote’ can effectively enhance political understanding and shape voting choices among Generation Z. Methods: This explanatory quantitative study targets viewers of the ‘Dirty Vote’ documentary on social media. A sample of 384 participants was determined using the Lemeshow formula and non-probability purposive sampling. Data were collected via Google Forms and analyzed using Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). The ELM theory guided the analysis. Findings: The study found that ‘Dirty Vote’ significantly enhances political knowledge and influences voting decisions among Generation Z. Political knowledge acted as a mediator, strengthening the documentary's impact. The credibility of the documentary’s source also played a key role in how the information was received. These findings suggest that documentaries can be an effective tool for political education, particularly for young voters. Originality: This study provides new insights into the role of documentaries in political education for Generation Z in Semarang, using ELM theory and GSCA to explore media’s impact on political knowledge and behavior.

Abstract

Background: UMKM di Indonesia menyumbang sekitar 60% dari PDB dan menyerap lebih dari 97% angkatan kerja, namun banyak di antaranya masih menghadapi tantangan dalam pemasaran digital, khususnya di Kelurahan Sendangmulyo, Kota Semarang. Pelaku UMKM di wilayah ini belum maksimal memanfaatkan media sosial dan fotografi produk yang berkualitas untuk promosi. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada UMKM dalam pembuatan foto produk menarik sebagai bagian dari strategi pemasaran digital. Metode: Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis situasi, pemaparan materi, pendampingan foto dan editing, serta evaluasi hasil. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 25-26 Mei 2024 dengan peserta sebanyak 15 orang dari pelaku UMKM Kelurahan Sendangmulyo, Kecamatan Tembalang, Kota Semarang. Hasil: Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kualitas foto produk, dengan perbaikan pada pencahayaan, komposisi, dan ketajaman gambar. Feedback dari peserta positif, menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dan hasil yang lebih baik dalam promosi melalui media sosial.memotivasi mitra untuk menjalankan usaha mandiri di bidang ini. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan UMKM dalam fotografi produk, membantu mereka lebih kompetitif di pasar digital, dan diharapkan pelatihan digital marketing lainnya seperti desain kemasan, konten video, dan periklanan juga dilakukan untuk memperkuat kompetensi UMKM di era digital.

Abstract

Information technology is increasingly advanced and developing, greatly influencing people's activities, including students. Advances in information and communication technology in the current digital age have changed the way society interacts. Rapid technological developments have provided significant benefits to social life. Apart from the benefits that can be obtained, it turns out that this progress can also give rise to the potential for committing legal violations. To increase students' understanding of digital literacy and the importance of knowledge of it to minimize legal violations for students, outreach is carried out. The way this is done is by lecture and question and answer directly after the lecture is finished. The output of this PkM activity is the publication of the PkM journal, mass media publications (print/online), IPR in the form of posters, implementation videos uploaded on YouTube, and increased understanding.

Abstract

This study assesses the impact of the Instagram campaign “25.000 Penentu Generasi Penerus” on the audience's cognitive response to Indonesia’s stunting education efforts. Using an explanatory quantitative method, data was collected via online questionnaires and analyzed using Variance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (VB-SEM) and Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). The findings suggest that Instagram content and perceived persuasiveness have a direct, positive, and significant influence on the cognitive responses of the @kemenkes_ri Instagram content viewers, with the effect being moderate to high. However, perceived persuasiveness significantly influences audience behavior change when it acts as a mediator. Thus, it is essential for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) to maintain high-quality messaging in stunting education content and to enhance the selection of highly credible figures as sources in the content.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the vulnerabilities faced by young digital workers in the marketplace and see how these young workers cope with the increasingly complex challenges of partnership-based work. The growth of the freelance economy has presented new challenges for young workers in Indonesia. These vulnerabilities arise from the partnership-based work system, which frees companies from the obligation to pay workers the regional minimum wage, ensure occupational safety and health, or provide overtime compensation. The freelance economy has resulted in job creation through platforms that   work flexibility, making freelance work attractive to young individuals seeking flexible work. This study uses an ethnography method to explore the community of young digital workers using a partnership system in the marketplace. Data in the study were obtained through virtual interviews and observations of young people’s work activities in the marketplace. The research findings reveal that the flexibility offered by the platform work system presents a paradox of vulnerability. On the one hand, workers value the freedom to work without time constraints. However, on the other hand, they simultaneously struggle with uncertain working conditions, including low wages, social discrimination, and lack of job security. This vulnerability makes them aware and encourages them to seek social support by joining telegram or WhatsApp courier groups, freelance live streamer communities, creative worker forums and doing double jobs without the platform’s knowledge. Furthermore, they create daily tactics by exploiting loopholes in the bonus or incentive system, such as accepting fictitious orders and splitting accounts. Vulnerability makes them a more preventive risk society. Furthermore, this action is a daily political practice that represents silent resistance as an effort to resist platform dominance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Shopee's Twin Date Campaign on impulsive buying, focusing on the mediating role of fear of missing out and the moderating role of self-control. This study uses four theories, namely Elaboration Likelihood Model Theory, Social Comparison Theory, Ego Depletion Theory, and Cognitive Emotional Theory, involving 384 respondents, according to Lemeshow's formula. The criteria for respondents were active users of Shopee and social media in Indonesia during the Shopee Twin Date Campaign. The method used in this study was Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS Version 4 software. Based on the findings, the Shopee Twin Date Campaign significantly and positively influenced Impulsive Buying alongside Fear of Missing Out. It further emerged that Fear of Missing Out mediates the Shopee Twin Date Campaign and Impulsive Buying relationship, while Self-control also emerged as a significant moderator.. These findings support to the development of digital marketing communication with a focus on psychological mechanisms in driving consumer behavior. In addition, this study can also be a reference for e-commerce industry developers and policymakers to design more responsible campaigns that take consumer literacy into consideration.

Abstract

Development in digital technology has made it easy to obtain pornographic content via social media, especially X, such that it is now among the key avenues of spreading pornographic content and has raised eyebrows about Generation Z's sexual behavior. Previous research has sought to highlight direct consumption of pornography without taking into consideration the influence of psychosocial factors, hence leaving out more complex mechanisms. The current study sought to examine the impact of pornography consumption on social media X on Generation Z's sexual behavior with risk perception as a mediator and self-control as a moderator. The research followed a quantitative design with 384 Generation Z respondents in Indonesia, and it was analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) version 4. The results reveal that pornography consumption has a significant positive impact on sexual behavior (β = 0.360; p < 0.001) that risk perception partially mediates (β = 0.287; p < 0.001) and that there exists a moderating role of self-control that suppresses this impact (β = –0.231; p < 0.001). The findings underscore the importance of addressing psychosocial factors and indicate implications for digital literacy, comprehensive sexuality education, and the improvement of adolescents' self-regulation. Perkembangan teknologi digital telah memudahkan akses terhadap konten pornografi melalui media sosial, terutama X, sehingga kini menjadi salah satu saluran utama penyebaran konten pornografi dan menimbulkan kekhawatiran terkait perilaku seksual Generasi Z. Penelitian sebelumnya cenderung menyoroti konsumsi langsung konten pornografi tanpa mempertimbangkan pengaruh faktor psikososial, sehingga mengabaikan mekanisme yang lebih kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak konsumsi pornografi di media sosial X terhadap perilaku seksual Generasi Z dengan persepsi risiko sebagai mediator dan pengendalian diri sebagai moderator. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan 384 responden Generasi Z di Indonesia. Metode analisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) versi 4 digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi pornografi memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap perilaku seksual (β = 0,360; p < 0.001), yang sebagian dimediasi oleh persepsi risiko (β = 0,287; p < 0.001), dan moderasi kendali diri berperan untuk menekan efek tersebut (β = -0,231; p < 0.001). Hasil ini menunjukkan pentingnya aspek psikososial dan bagaimana literasi digital, pendidikan seksual komprehensif, dan pengendalian diri yang lebih baik dapat membantu remaja menjadi lebih sadar diri.
