Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Describe the differences in students' mastery of Indonesian vocabulary using the spelling bee method. 2) Determine whether the spelling bee game method is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. 3) Examine students' learning activities in class using the spelling bee game method. The population and sample in this study consisted of all fourth-grade students of SDS Karuna Singkawang, totaling 92 students. The data collection techniques used in this study included tests and observations. Data analysis consisted of prerequisite data analysis and final data analysis. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that: 1) There is a significant difference in Indonesian vocabulary mastery between the control and experimental classes, as evidenced by the t-test calculation for two independent samples, where tcalculated (6.69) > ttable (2.00). 2) The spelling bee game method is effective in improving Indonesian vocabulary mastery, as shown by the effect size calculation of 1.12, which falls into the large category. 3) Students' learning activities using the spelling bee game method during lessons reached a percentage of 90%, categorized as very good or active.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh Media Interaktif Animasi pada mata pelajaran SBdP materi lagu anak kelas III SDN 93 Singkawang; 2) mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Media Interaktif Animasi pada mata pelajaran SBdP materi lagu anak kelas III SDN 93 Singkawang; 3) mengetahui minat belajar siswa menggunakan Media Interaktif Animasi pada mata pelajaran SBdP materi lagu anak. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperiment dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN 93 Singkawang. Sampel penelitian diambil secara non probability sampling dengan purposive sampling. Uji prasyarat yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas menggunakan Chi-Kuadrat (χ^2) dan dilakukan uji homogenitas untuk melihat kesamaan varian pada kedua kelompok. Data analisis secara univeriat dengan taraf signifikansi 5% (0,05) untuk pengujian hipotesis pertama digunakan Uji t (t-test) dua sampel tidak berkorelasi, pengujian hipotesis kedua digunakan uji effect size, dan pengujian hipotesis ketiga digunakan rumus rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh Media Interaktif Animasi pada mata pelajaran SBdP materi lagu anak kelas III SDN 93 Singkawang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan Uji t (t-test) dua sampel tidak berkorelasi diperoleh nilai nilai t_hitung>t_tabel yaitu 11,445 > 2,037, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak pada taraf signifikansi a=0,05; 2) Media interaktif animasi berpengaruh tinggi pada mata pelajaran SBdP siswa kelas III SDN 93 Singkawang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan uji effect size sebesar 2,985 dengan kriteria tinggi; 3) Minat belajar siswa sangat baik menggunakan Media Interaktif Animasi pada mata pelajaran SBdP materi lagu anak. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan minat belajar siswa sebesar 93,4 % kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

Students at MTs Ushuluddin Singkawang face several challenges in learning the Indonesian language, particularly in writing literary works. Based on observations and interviews, it was found that most students have low self-confidence, limited literacy skills, and a lack of creativity in expressing ideas through writing. Their written works generally consist of summaries of lesson materials rather than creative literary pieces such as short stories. To address these issues, the implementation team carried out a Community Service Program (PkM) in the form of a short story writing workshop aimed at enhancing students’ creativity, literacy skills, and self-confidence in literary writing. The workshop was conducted through four main stages: (1) preparation, including material development, coordination with the school, and participant selection; (2) training implementation, involving the delivery of short story writing techniques and hands-on practice; (3) mentoring for story production, providing guidance in drafting and revising students’ works; and (4) evaluation through assessment of the final works and measurement of improvement using pretests and posttests. A total of 27 students from class VIIIC participated in this activity. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ short story writing skills, with 77.8% achieving a “very high” category and 22.2% achieving a “high” category. Participant satisfaction was also high, with 92.59% expressing they were “very satisfied” and 7.40% “satisfied” with the program. Although some students still struggled with spelling and mechanics, overall the workshop effectively enhanced students’ understanding, motivation, and self-confidence in creative writing. Therefore, the short story writing workshop proved to be an effective means of developing students’ creative potential while strengthening the culture of literacy in schools..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model assisted by ethnoscience videos on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the subject of IPAS. The type of research used is quantitative with experimental methods. The research design used is quasi experimental design with the form of nonequivalent control group design. Sample determination is saturated sampling. The population in this study were grade V students of SDN 4 Selakau totaling 49. The results showed that: (1) There is a significant difference in students' cognitive learning outcomes between classes given the SSCS learning model assisted by ethnoscience videos and classes given conventional learning, the results show that tcount = 10,98 > ttable = 2,01. (2) The SSCS learning model assisted by ethnoscience videos has a high effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes, the results of the effect size in this study are 0,81 in the high category. (3) There is an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes after being given the SSCS learning model assisted by ethnoscience videos as indicated by the results of the N-gain = 0,72 in the high category. There is a very positive response to the SSCS learning model assisted by ethnoscience videos, the results of calculating the percentage of student responses show an average of 88%. Thus it can be concluded that the SSCS learning model assisted by ethnoscience videos can affect students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) To describe the differences in numeracy abilities in fraction material before and after being taught using fraction clock media (JAPEC); 2) to find out how much influence the use of fractional clock media (JAPEC) has on the numeracy skills in class V students of SD Negeri 04 Pemangkat for the 2024 academic year. The type of research used is quantitative research using the True Experimental Design method with a Posttest-only Control Group design. Design. The samples taken in the research were 23 VA class students. The data collection technique uses a multiple choice question test technique containing indicators of numeracy ability. Data analysis techniques use t-test and effect size. The results of this research are: 1) there is a difference in numeracy ability between classes that use fractional clock media and those that do not use fractional clock media, which is 3.70065 > 2.01537, which means there is a difference in numeracy ability between the experimental and control classes, 2) the use of media Fractional hours (JAPEC) has an effect, but not significantly, on students' numeracy abilities with an effect size of 0.70 and falls into the medium criteria at 0.20 < ≤ 0.80.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s desire to know the morphological process of the Dry Branch Poetry Anthology by Santoso Wuryandoko, which includes the affixation process, reduplication process, and composition process. The problem in this research is how the affixation process, reduplication process, composition process in the dry twig poetry anthology by Santoso Wuryandoko and its implementation in learning. The aim of this research is to describe the morphological process, namely the affixation process, reduplication process, and composition process in the dry twig poetry anthology by Santoso Wuryandoko, as well as its implementation in Indonesian language learning. This research method is a descriptive method with qualitative form. The analysis teachnique uses listening and note taking techniques. Checking the validity of the data, persistence of observations, triangulation and adequacy of references. The results of research on the Morphological Process in the Dry Branch Poetry Anthology by Santoso Wuryandoko can be concluded: (1) There are three types of affixation, namely prefixes, suffixes, and confixes. (2) there are two types of reduplication, namely complete reduplication and partial reduplication. (3) there are two types of composition or compound words, namely equivalent compound words and unequal compound words.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) determine differences in students' narrative writing abilities. 2) to find out how big the influence of the circuit learning model assisted by mind mapping media is. The type of research design used is a Pre-Experimental design, namely One Group Pre-test Posttest design. The population in this study was all class IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Fallah Selakau, consisting of 30 class A students and 30 class B students, so a total of 60 people. The sample in this research is a population that is part of the number and characteristics of that population." A good sample is a sample that is representative (represents) the population, so that the conclusions can be applied to the entire population. This research technique uses instruments that support and strengthen information for research, including test questions. The form of this research instrument is in the form of guidelines, including test guidelines which are written down in note form to obtain accurate information. The test for skills in writing narrative text in the form of an essay, data analysis was carried out using the prerequisite tests used in this research, namely the normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test and effect size. Based on the data results, it can be concluded that: 1) there is a difference in the ability to write student narratives between students who apply the circuit learning model assisted by mind mapping media and students who do not use the circuit learning model assisted by mind mapping in class IV students at MI Darul Falah Selakau. This difference is marked by the value of t_(count <) t_table, namely 7.66 >28. 2) the influence on the ability to write narratives of students at IV MI Darul Falah Selakau obtained an Effect Size (E_s) value of 86.46, which is classified as high.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of language style in the poetry collection Reading the Sea by Gunta Wirawan which creates an aesthetic effect on the poem. This study aims to describe the language style of comparasion, opposition, linkage, and repetition in the poetry collection Reading the Sea by Gunta Wirawan. This study uses a descriptive method, qualitative research forms, and a stylistic approach. The data source in this study is the poetry collection Reading the Sea by Gunta Wirawan. Based on the results of the analysis, comparative language style data obtained, namely 32 data similes, 41 data metaphors, 51 data personifications, 2 data depersonifications, 21 data allegories, 3 data antithesis, 6 data pleonasm or tautulogy, 5 data perifrasis, and 2 data correction or epanortosis. The language syle of opposition is hyperbole 46 data, litotes 5 data, irony 4 data, oxymoron 1 data, zeugma 1 data, satire 7 data, inuendo 1 data, paradox 3 data, climax 3 data, anticlimax 2 data, and apostrophe 6 data. The language style of linkage is metonymy 21 data, synecdoche 20 data, allusion 1 data, euphemism 5 data, eponym 2 data, epithet 1 data, antonomasia 4 data, erotesis 18 data, parallelism 2 data, ellipsis 5 data, asydenton 6 data, and polysyndeton 16 data. And the repetition language style is alliteration 22 data, assonance 15 data, epizeukis 10 data, anaphora 18 data, epistrofa 1 data, mesodiplosis 5 data, and anadiplosis 1 data. The results of this study are planned to be implemented in the Indonesian Language teaching module for Junior High School Level Phase D class VIII semester 2 with Learning Objective Flow 5.1 students can recognize the meaning and characteristics of poetry and identify the elements that build poetry.

Abstract

This study ai This study aims to describe Code Switching and Code Mixing of Multiethnic Community Language in Sakok Market, Singkawang. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The form of this research is a qualitative form. The data sources in this study are the speech of sellers and buyers and the data in this study is code switching. Data collection techniques used in this study are tapping techniques, recording techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, transcribing data, classifying data and then analyzing data. Based on data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the form of code switching of multiethnic communities in Sakok Market, Singkawang is 17 data and the factors causing code switching of multiethnic communities in Sakok Market, Singkawang is 4 data. This research can be implemented in class IX with this being applied as teaching materials for learning Indonesian in descriptive texts of the Merdeka curriculum based on learning outcomes (CP) phase D, specifically CP elements of speaking, writing and listening.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest in learning of fifth grade students in the subject of science at SDN 28 Singkawang, so audio visual media is needed to increase interest in learning. The formulation of the problem includes: 1) Does audio visual media affect students’ interest in learning? 2) How big is the influence? 3) How is the interest in learning of students towards audio visual media? The aim is to determine the influence, magnitude of influence, and level of interest in learning of fifth grade students towards the use of audio visual media in science. The study used a posttest only control design with a population of fifth grade students of SDN 28 Singkawang and a saturated sample technique. Data analysis included a descriptive percentage test, a normality test with Excel, and an independent sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study showed: 1) Audio visual media has a significant effect on learning interest, as evidenced by the normality test (X2 count: 0.927 control; 0.932 experiment ˃X2 table: 0.920), homogenity test (f count: 4.21), and hypotesis test (t count: -2.494 ˃t table:2.012), so Ha is accepted. 2) The influence is high with an effect size of 0.70. 3) Students’ learning interest increased from the high category (73%) to very high (80%) after using audio visual media. In conclusion, audio visual media has a significant and large effect on the learning interest of fifth grade students in science at SDN 28 Singkawang.
