Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) yang interaktif dan kontekstual guna meningkatkan pemahaman siswa di kelas 5 SDN 111/I Muara Bulian. Model pembelajaran diterapkan dengan pendekatan yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses belajar, sehingga diharapkan dapat membantu siswa mengaitkan materi ajar dengan pengalaman dan kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (RnD) dengan desain yang mengacu pada model ADDIE, yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner, serta dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa terhadap materi IPS, dengan skor rata-rata sebelum penerapan model adalah 65 dan meningkat menjadi 85 setelah penerapan model. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa di kelas 5 SDN 111/I Muara Bulian

Abstract

Mandi Balimau Gedang adalah tradisi masyarakat Dusun Jambu, Kecamatan Tebo Ulu, Kabupaten Tebo, Provinsi Jambi, yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun. Ritual ini memiliki makna sakral sebagai bentuk penyucian diri sebelum Ramadan dan perlindungan dari marabahaya. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode tinjauan pustaka dan wawancara mendalam terhadap dukun setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selain sebagai ritual keagamaan, tradisi ini juga memiliki dimensi sosial dan budaya yang kuat. Namun, modernisasi dan eksploitasi sumber daya alam menjadi tantangan dalam menjaga keasliannya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pelestarian agar tradisi ini tetap bertahan di tengah perubahan zaman.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning motivation in the Indonesian language subject through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by audio-visual media in grade IV at SDN 112/I Perumnas. The background of this research is the low level of student motivation, as indicated by a lack of interest, enthusiasm, responsibility, and satisfaction in participating in the learning process. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Data were collected through observations based on five indicators of learning motivation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students’ motivation after the implementation of the PBL model with audio-visual media support. In the pre-action stage, the average motivation was in the low category with a percentage of 49%. After the first cycle, it increased to 60.8% (moderate category), and in the second cycle, it rose to 81.25% (good category). The application of the PBL model encouraged students to be more active, interested, and responsible in learning activities, while audio-visual media helped enhance students’ understanding and interest in the subject matter. Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model supported by audio-visual media is effective in improving students’ learning motivation and is recommended as an innovative learning strategy for primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of morning assembly as a strategy to strengthen student character at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. The research was conducted using a case study approach with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that morning assembly serves as a structured routine that contributes to building student discipline, responsibility, respect, religiosity, and patriotism. The implementation includes activities such as lining up, praying, singing national songs, delivering moral messages, and providing school information. The strategy for character strengthening is carried out through teacher modeling, habituation, direct supervision, moral reinforcement, positive feedback, and student involvement as assembly officers. The study also identifies several obstacles, including student tardiness, inconsistency in line discipline, lack of support from home routines, and weather disturbances. Despite these constraints, morning assembly has a significant positive impact on improving student discipline and creating a more conducive school environment. The results of this study highlight the importance of habitual school routines as an effective means of character education in elementary schools.
