Abstract

The ability to think critically is very important for mathematics teachers. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide participants with an understanding of the importance of honing critical thinking skills for mathematics teachers. This service was carried out on Tuesday June, 30 2020 and was carried out through the application Zoom Meeting and live YouTube Mathematics Education FKIP UIR. The method used in the implementation of this community service activity is the percentage method to convey material, the question and answer method and the discussion method. The instrument used was a percentage of service material slides. The results of this service activity can be said to be quite good. This can be seen from the responses of teachers who begin to understand the importance of critical thinking skills. This service activity has the benefit of making the teacher more eager to hone their critical thinking skills so that they can do better and be useful for students.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pemahaman tentang sebuah perangkat pembelajaran bagi guru-guru sebagai pendidik yang profesional. Pemahaman yang baik tentang sebuah perangkat akan menjadikan pembelajaran semakin menarik. Untuk membentuk pembelajaran yang menarik banyak hal yang bisa dilakukan guru, salah satunya menyusun perangkat pembelajaran yang menarik yaitu Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Namun kenyataan dilapangan sering sekali guru mengalami kendala dalam penyusunan RPP. Terbentuknya pelatihan tentang pengembangan perangkat RPP bagi guru-guru di Pekanbaru ini diharapkan mampu meminimalisir kendala-kendala yang dialami guru dalam menyusun RPP di sekolah. Adapun tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang pembuatan serta perangkat RPP bagi guru-guru di Pekanbaru. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini bahwa terlihat motivasi guru-guru untuk mengasah kemampuan kemampuan dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran khususnya RPP sangat tinggi, hal ini ditandai dengan aktifnya guru-guru dalam bertanya dan saat mengikuti teknis pengerjaan RPP.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya guru yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menggunakan program atau software dalam pembelajaran maupun untuk pengembangan professional diri. Padahal sebagai guru pada saat ini dituntut untuk mampu menguasai teknologi sebagai salah satu bentuk penguasaan kompetensi professional. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan dan memberikan pendampingan kepada para guru SMP/MTs hususnya di SMP Nurul Falah Kulim dalam memahami dan menggunakan program SPSS untuk mendukung pembelajaran dan analisis data penelitian. Dengan diberikannya workshop dan pelatihan ini, diharapkan para guru dapat mengaplikasikan hasil dari kegiatan untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dan pengembangan diri. Kegaiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom Meeting yang diikuti oleh 56 peserta yang berasal dari sekolah Mitra dan luar. Adapun target dari kegiatan ini adalah: (1)Guru menguasai pemahaman terkait ICT, khususnya beberapa software yang dapat digunakan secara gratis dari internet untuk membantu proses pembelajaran dan analisis data, (2) Guru mampu menganalisis data dengan menggunakan software yang telah ada berupa aplikasi program SPSS., dan (3) menghasilkan produk berupa deskripsi contoh analisis data sampel sebagai bahan acuan untuk latihan mandiri dalam menganalisi data penelitian yang sesungguhnya. Adapun luaran darikegiatan ini adalah publikasi artikel dalam bentuk jurnal ilmiah nasional terakreditasi. Kata Kunci : analisis data, ICT, program SPSS The implementation of this activity is motivated by the fact that there are still many teachers who have difficulty to using programs or software in learning and for personal professional development. Even though as a teacher at this time they are required to be able to be master technology as a form of mastering professional competence. Therefore, this community activity aims to provide socialization and assistance to SMP / MTs teachers especially at Nurul Falah Kulim Middle School in understanding and using the SPSS program to support learning and analysis of research data. By providing these workshops and trainings, it is hoped that teachers can apply the results of activities to improve the quality and quality of learning in schools and personal development. This PKM activity was carried out online through the Zoom Meeting application which was attended by 56 participants from partner schools and outside. The objectives of this activity are: (1) Teachers master ICT-related understanding, in particular some software that can be used for free from the internet to help the learning process and data analysis, (2) Teachers are able to analyze data using existing software in the form of the SPSS program application, and (3) produce a product in the form of a description of an example of data analysis as a reference for independent training in analyzing actual research data. The output of this activity is the publication of articles in the form of accredited national scientific journals. Keyword : analysis data, ICT, SPSS program

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan studi perbandingan antara Transformasi Laplace dan transformasi integral baru Shehu untuk menyelesaikan Persamaan Integral Volterra Jenis Pertama. Untuk mengilustrasikan kedua metode yang diusulkan, tiga persamaan Volterra Integral yang berbeda dari contoh jenis pertama disajikan, yang selanjutnya hasilnya dibandingkan.

Abstract

Delay Differential Equation (DDE) have been applied to many area. While, we rarely get the analytic solutions of DDE. Many researchers have found many methods to find it for instance Runge-Kutta Method. The purpose of this paper is to accumulate the combinations of Runge-Kutta method which is used to find the solutions of DDE.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a trending topic of conversation for the past year until now, this pandemic has changed various aspects of human life today, especially in the world of education. This causes students' failure to understand mathematical concepts and students' lack of interest in learning. This study aims to describe students' learning interest in the use of E-comic media in social arithmetic material during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The sample of the research was the seventh grade students of SMP which consisted of 15 students who were taken randomly. The instrument used in this study is a non-test instrument in the form of a student learning interest questionnaire distributed using Google Form in social arithmetic learning using E-comic which consists of 20 statements as a reference to determine students' interest in learning in the use of E-comic media. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the use of E-comic learning media is effective on student learning interest during the Covid-19 pandemic with the percentage results80.67% classified as very high criteria. So that the E-comic learning media is very effectively used as a medium for learning mathematics to increase student interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.Keywords: analysis, E-comic, social arithmetic, covid-1 pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to produce an instrument for assessing mathematical critical thinking skills on material derived from algebraic functions that have been tested for validity. The form of research carried out is research and development and the development model used is a 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research location is at SMAN 1 Tembilahan Hulu in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The object of research is an instrument for assessing mathematical critical thinking skills in class XI class derivatives of algebraic functions. The data collection instrument used an instrument validation sheet. Data analysis shows that the results of the validation of the mathematical critical thinking ability assessment instrument obtained an average value of the Aiken index of 0.811 with a very valid category and content validity with an average of 0.723 with a valid category. In terms of discriminating power, there are 2 questions with poor discriminating power and 6 questions that can be used to measure the level of students' mathematical critical thinking skills. So, it can be concluded that the development of an instrument for assessing mathematical critical thinking skills is to produce an instrument that has been tested for validity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the level validity of mathematics lesson plan by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach on Quadrangle Substance at Grade VII MTs Negeri 3 Siak which was valid test. The development model in this research used an R&D model with six stages were the researcher have modified depends on the needs and conditions with current situation now it’s covid-19 pandemic. These six stages arepotential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision and final product. The data collection technique used in this research was the validation of lesson plan, the kind of data collection instrument was the form of a validation sheet. While the data analysis technique used in the form of descriptive analysis by describing the validity of the lesson plan which was developed by the researcher. The results of this research, the RPP validation were 85.86% with very valid criteria. While the results of LKPD validation were 89.81% with very valid criteria. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the development of mathematics lesson plan with a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on quadrangle substance at grade VII MTs Negeri 3 Siak has been suitable for the validity.

Abstract

Health is one of the most important fields aspects in people’s lives. Public health is influenced by several factors, such as environmental factors and lifestyle. Every year, the government makes a program to improve people’s health and welfare. Therefore, the government needs to obtain information about the classification of public health levels to monitor the progress of the programs that have been carried out. The research created an interface application to classify the level of public health in North Sumatra Province. The research classified the public health level using data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in 2018. Next, the application was made using the Matlab 2013b GUI. Classification of the level of public health was carried out using the Fuzzy Mamdani method that generated public health classification levels based on the inputted indicators. Then, the level of health classification was divided into four parts: low, lower middle, upper middle, and high. The result shows that for the 2018 data, some cities/ districts are still at low health levels. However, many cities or districts have good health levels. The final result can be used as a reference for the government to analyze which cities/districts should be paid attention to improve their health and welfare.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hak setiap warga negara indonesia tidak terkecuali anak-anak yang berada di panti asuhan. Terbatasnya kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh panti asuhan dalam memberikan tambahan materi pembelajaran kepada anak-anak asuh terutama bidang studi matematika merupakan dasar dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di panti asuhan Al-Akbar Pekanbaru dengan memberikan pendalaman materi matematika khususnya tingkat SMA dengan jumlah peserta 26 orang anak asuh sebagai target dari kegiatan ini. Adapun metode pelaksanaannya dibagi menjadi dua tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan dimana tim melakukan survey ke lapangan, mempersiapkan administrasi dan persiapan materi kemudian tahap kedua yaitu tahap pelaksanaan dengan pemberian materi dan diskusi dengan membagi peserta kegiatan menjadi kelompok belajar yang dibagi bersadarkan tingkat pendidikan. Kegiatan pembinaan dilakukan secara luring atau tatap muka langsung dan dilakukan di panti asuhan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan hasil yang memuaskan bagi mitra yaitu panti asuhan dengan memberi pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang lebih dalam bidang studi matematika SMA.
