Abstract

Abstract

Confidentiality of psychological test tools is an important aspect in maintaining the validity, reliability, and integrity of the assessment process. However, leaks of test tools through social media or unofficial guidance still frequently occur, especially among new students who are early users of assessment services in higher education. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of educational posters on the confidentiality of psychological test tools in increasing new students' awareness of the ethics of using and protecting assessment data. The study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest model involving 30 new Psychology students at Makassar State University. The intervention was provided through posters containing information about the prohibition on distributing test tools, the ethics of storing assessment data, and the risk of violations. Data were collected using a confidentiality awareness questionnaire before and after the intervention, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results showed an increase in the average awareness score from 6.23 in the pretest to 6.93 in the posttest, without a decrease in scores across all participants. The Wilcoxon test yielded a Z value of –2.969 with p = 0.003, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. These findings indicate that posters are an effective educational tool for raising awareness of test equipment confidentiality among new students. This research contributes to strengthening the implementation of psychological ethics in academic settings through simple and easy-to-implement visual communication interventions.

Abstract

Millennials constitute one of the workforce groups that dominate human resources in various organizations. Their characteristics, including being goal-oriented, seeking work flexibility, and expecting a supportive work environment, make work engagement an important factor in enhancing their performance and contribution to organizations. However, despite their increasing dominance in the workplace, many organizations still face the challenge of low work engagement, which is reflected in declining enthusiasm, commitment, and employees' psychological attachment to their work. One factor that is presumed to influence the level of work engagement is organizational climate, which is reflected in employees' perceptions of the work environment, organizational support, interpersonal relationships, and the systems and policies implemented within the company. This study aims to examine the effect of organizational climate on work engagement among millennial employees in Makassar City. The study employed a quantitative approach using regression analysis. The respondents consisted of 350 millennial employees in Makassar City selected through accidental sampling. The results indicate that organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on work engagement (B = 0.288; p = 0.000 < 0.05). The higher the organizational climate perceived by employees, the higher their level of work engagement. These findings highlight the importance of organizational attention to organizational climate in order to enhance work engagement among millennial employees.
