Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) remain a major cause of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia, necessitating promotive and preventive efforts involving families as key supporters in disease management. This community service activity aims to increase family knowledge and involvement in the prevention and control of NCDs through health education for outpatients at Awet Muda Narmada Regional Hospital. The activity was carried out on June 8, 2026, at the Internal Medicine Polyclinic, targeting patients and their accompanying family members during the service. The methods used included administering a pre-test, delivering material through interactive lectures, discussions, demonstrations, distributing leaflets, and evaluation using a post-test. The results of the activity showed an increase in participant knowledge regarding NCD risk factors, prevention, therapy adherence, implementing a healthy lifestyle, and self-monitoring of health conditions. Family involvement during the activity also increased understanding of their role as caregivers in supporting chronic disease management at home. In addition to providing benefits for patients and families, this activity contributed to strengthening the Hospital Health Promotion Program (PKRS) and supporting the implementation of Primary Service Integration (ILP) by utilizing service waiting time as a medium for health education. This program demonstrates that family empowerment based on health education is an effective approach to improving health literacy and is worthy of being developed as a routine program in outpatient services to support sustainable control of NCDs.

Data showed that the coverage of early cervical cancer detection through Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) examinations at the Telaga Dewa Community Health Center was still very low and remained far below the national target of 80%. The screening coverage reached only 0.6% in 2024, and only 50 women underwent screening examinations in 2025. Therefore, a digital-based screening innovation was needed to increase the participation of women of reproductive age in early cervical cancer detection. The program used a digital education approach designed to improve the knowledge, awareness, and screening behavior of women of reproductive age by providing educational materials on cervical cancer risk factors, signs and symptoms, HPV vaccination, and a self-risk assessment guide. The program involved healthcare professionals and community health cadres in educational sessions and participant mentoring. In addition, pre-tests and post-tests were conducted to assess changes in participants' knowledge following the intervention. The results showed that the implementation of digital-based education increased the knowledge of women of reproductive age by 80%. The findings indicated that digital-based education was an effective strategy for improving early cervical cancer detection. It was recommended that this program be continued with support from the government and healthcare professionals to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with cervical cancer. Keywords: Digital-Based Screening, Cervical Cancer, Self-Assessment, Digital Education Module.

Abstract

Low Back Pain (LBP) is a common complaint often caused by non-ergonomic sitting postures. Factors causing LBP include individual factors such as age, gender, and length of service, as well as occupational factors such as static body positions, repetitive movements, and excessive force exertion. This condition can lead to decreased productivity due to lost work time. This study aims to increase the elderly's understanding of the symptoms and causes of LBP and provide education regarding independent home exercises as a preventative measure. Work requires an ergonomic work position, because non-ergonomic work postures can increase the likelihood of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). These musculoskeletal disorders can reduce worker productivity, cause longer production times and increase worker absenteeism. Understanding ergonomic work positions is crucial for workers. Physiotherapy, as a health service that focuses on the development, maintenance, and recovery of body parts due to physical disorders, can help prevent musculoskeletal problems by utilizing ergonomic principles. Before starting the counseling, researchers filled out a questionnaire or pre-test with patients and after the counseling, a post-test was administered. The results of the counseling obtained based on the pre-test and post-test showed a 100% increase in understanding of educational material related to ergonomic work postures and stretching exercises.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the healthcare sector has encouraged the use of various technologies, such as telemedicine, electronic health records, mobile health, and health information systems. However, the successful implementation digital health technology depends not only on system readiness, but also on the acceptance of healthcare professionals as the main users. This study aims systematically review how the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has been used to explain the adoption digital health technology among healthcare workers. The method used was systematic review of scientific articles from reputable databases discussing the application TAM in the context of digital health technology. The selected articles were empirical studies involving healthcare professionals and applying TAM in its original extended forms. The review found that perceived usefulness and perceived ease use were the most consistent constructs in explaining behavioral intention and use behavior. In addition, TAM was often extended by including variables such as subjective norm, self-efficacy, compatibility, experience, training, anxiety, habit, facilitating conditions, and organizational context. These findings indicate that healthcare professionals’ acceptance of technology influenced not only by perceived benefits and ease of use, but also by social, individual, and organizational factors. Therefore, TAM remains relevant as a basic framework, especially in its extended form.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) transmission from mother to child remains a critical public health issue during pregnancy. At Puskesmas Pallangga, the coverage rate for HIV screening among pregnant women has not yet reached the optimal Minimum Service Standard (SPM) target, primarily due to low community awareness, stigma, and lack of coordinated referral pathways with private health provider networks. Objective: The purpose of this service was to optimize HIV screening coverage among pregnant women at Puskesmas Pallangga through interactive visual health education and cross-network partner collaboration. Method: This public service was conducted by implementing interactive health education sessions using visual poster media for pregnant women and holding synergy coordination meetings with partner health networks (clinic representatives, independent midwives, and cadres) at Puskesmas Pallangga on July 14, 2026. The evaluation assessed participants' engagement, understanding, and the establishment of referral workflow agreements. Result: Quantitative baseline data at Puskesmas Pallangga in 2025 indicated that out of a total SPM target of 1,401 pregnant women, 1,132 women were tested for HIV, achieving an 80.8% coverage rate. Consequently, 269 pregnant women (19.2%) remained untested, mainly because they received antenatal care (ANC) at partner network facilities that lacked HIV testing kits and referral protocols. Following the intervention, participant engagement reached 100%, leading to enhanced knowledge regarding HIV screening benefits and the successful creation of an integrated referral pathway connecting 3 partner network clinics to Puskesmas Pallangga. Conclusion: Integrating visual media-based health education with partner network coordination serves as an effective strategy to improve public awareness and resolve screening gaps to achieve complete HIV testing coverage among pregnant women.
