Abstract

This study maps and analyses the scholarly literature on the impact of social media on group decision-making processes, with a particular focus on the human resource management (HRM) context, using a bibliometric approach. Data were retrieved from Scopus databases, yielding 116 peer-reviewed articles spanning 2006 to 2026. VOSviewer software was employed to visualise co-authorship networks and keyword co-occurrence patterns, enabling systematic mapping of collaboration structures and thematic evolution. The field exhibits substantial scientific impact, averaging 48.59 citations per document, and is characterised by extensive global collaboration. Thematically, research has evolved from a conceptual stage centred on trust and community interaction toward an applicative and computational stage dominated by big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and consensus model optimisation. Enterprise social media platforms have emerged as strategic infrastructure reinforcing collaboration and inclusivity in hybrid work environments, although challenges related to group bias amplification, polarisation, and echo chamber dynamics remain persistent. Organisations operating in digital and hybrid environments should strategically govern social media platforms to leverage collective intelligence while proactively mitigating algorithmic bias and polarisation risks in group decision-making. This is among the first bibliometric studies to specifically focus on the intersection of social media and group decision-making within an HRM context, identifying AI-driven decision architectures and digital bias mitigation as the most critical frontier for future research.

Abstract

The Indonesian banking sector underwent significant transformations amidst economic volatility and the pandemic from 2019 to 2023. To survive and recover, banks were required to adapt by optimizing Intellectual Capital. This study aims to analyse the impact of Human Capital Efficiency (HCE), Structural Capital Efficiency (SCE), and Capital Employed Efficiency (CEE) on bank stability (Z-score). Utilizing a quantitative approach, this research analyses panel data from 47 conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2019 and 2023, selected through purposive sampling. Panel data regression analysis (EViews 12) was conducted, involving model selection tests (Chow, Hausman) and hypothesis testing (F-test and T-test). The findings reveal that only CEE exerts a positive and significant effect on the Z-score, confirming that the efficiency of physical and financial capital (tangible assets) remains the dominant determinant of a bank's financial stability. Conversely, intellectual capital components show no significant effect. HCE exhibits a positive yet insignificant impact due to the long-term nature of human resource investments, while SCE shows a negative and insignificant effect stemming from suboptimal structural capital management and limitations in the VAIC measurement formula.

Abstract

This study investigates the interplay of time pressure, poor sleep habits, and jam koma as key predictors of academic burnout among university students in East Kalimantan. Utilizing a quantitative cross-sectional design, the research investigates how time pressure and poor sleep habits contribute to burnout, with cognitive fatigue locally termed “jam koma”, acting as a mediator. Data were collected from undergraduate students using instruments, including scales for time pressure, sleep quality, jam koma, and burnout, and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares. The findings reveal that time pressure and inadequate sleep significantly drive burnout, both directly and indirectly through jam koma, highlighting the mediating role of mental exhaustion in amplifying academic stress. These results extend the JDR model by incorporating sleep as a critical physiological resource, offering a nuanced understanding of burnout dynamics in collectivist academic settings. This study concludes the urgent need for culturally tailored interventions, such as time management training, sleep hygiene programs, and counseling services sensitive to collectivist values, to mitigate burnout and enhance student well-being. By providing localized insights into burnout mechanisms, this research informs evidence-based strategies for fostering resilient academic environments in East Kalimantan and similar collectivist contexts, contributing to global efforts to support student mental health.

Abstract

This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to map the global evolution of Public Financial Management (PFM) research, focusing on publication trends, geographic distribution, thematic clusters, and influential works shaping the field. Using data retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed through VOSviewer and Bibliometrix, the study identifies a significant increase in PFM-related publications, particularly after 2010, driven by global demands for fiscal transparency, digital governance, and sustainable budgeting. The analysis reveals strong contributions from China, the United States, and several developing countries such as India and Brazil, while Indonesia remains underrepresented despite extensive fiscal reforms. Keyword co-occurrence mapping uncovers five major clusters, dominated by health sciences, environmental sustainability, and material engineering, with PFM themes embedded within broader clusters related to public health governance and fiscal sustainability. Seminal works by Wildavsky, Schick, and Allen & Tommasi continue to shape the intellectual foundations of PFM, influencing contemporary discourse on accountability, performance-based budgeting, and digital fiscal systems. Overall, the findings highlight the fragmented yet growing nature of PFM scholarship and underscore the need for more focused, context-rich research, especially in developing countries undergoing major public sector financial reforms.
