Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil survey dan observasi pada pemuda dan pemudi karang taruna yang ada di Kecamatan Gondang Kabupaten Mojokerto ini, menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak dari mereka yang masih belum memiliki pekerjaan atau bisa dikatakan bahwa mereka belum belum bisa mendapatkan penghasilan. Salah satu factor yang berhasil kami himpun adalah dikarenakan masih kurangnya keterampilan yang mereka miliki. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh para pemuda dan pemudi karang taruna tidak pernah memperoleh bimbingan baik dari pendidikan formal ataupun dengan cara mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan yang dapat mengarahkan para pemuda pemudi karang taruna pada pengetahuan luas, khususnya yang berkenaan dengan photo editing. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, maka tim pelaksana PPM prodi pendidikan matematika FKIP Unipa Surabaya, akan melaksanakan Workshop photo editing dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi adobe photoshop. Kegiatan tersebut, mampu menambah referensi dan pengetahuan bagi pemuda karang taruna yang ada di Kecamatan Gondang terutama di bidang desain grafis khususnya photo editing. Setelah mengikuti workshop, para karang taruna yang dapat mengedit foto secara sederhana dan mengaplikasikannya dalam berbagai macam bentuk publikasi cetak seperti logo, pamflet, brosur, kartu nama, poster, buku, tata letak/layout majalah, desain iklan, undangan, cover majalah, dan lain sebagainya akan mampu mengembangkan jiwa entrepreneur dibidang photo editing, sehingga dapat dijadikan lapangan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemikiran bahwa salah satu tujuan belajar matematika adalah agar siswa memiliki kemampuan memahami konsep matematika, menjelaskan keterkaitan antarkonsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma secara luwes, akurat, efisien, dan tepat dalam pemecahan masalah. sehingga dalam mempelajari matematika diharpakan siswa tidak hanya menghafal informasi-informasi yang diberikan tetapi juga memahaminya. Karena dengan memahami suatu konsep, diharapkan siswa dapat mengaitkan antara konsep yang satu dengan yang lain dan menggunakannya dalam pemecahan masalah. Pemahaman dapat dikatagorikan ke dalam tiga jenis, yaitu pemahaman instrumental (instrumental understanding), pemahaman relasional (relational understanding), dan pemahaman formal (formal understanding). Pemahaman apapun jenisnya, sangat berperan dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Melalui pemecahan masalah, diharapkan siswa terampil dalam menghadapi masalah, baik itu masalah dalam matematika maupun masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam memecahkan suatu masalah, terdapat informasi yang harus diolah dan diserap dengan baik agar masalah tersebut dapat terselesaikan, aktifitas menyerap, mengatur, dan mengolah informasi disebut, itu yang dikatakan sebagai gaya belajar. gaya belajar menggunakan Learning Style Inventory (LSI), dapat dikatagrikan menjadi gaya belajar divergen, asimilatif, konvergen, dan akomodatif. Keempat gaya belajar tersebut didasari oleh pengalaman-pengalaman (konkret, reflektif, abstrak, dan eksperimen) yang diperoleh setiap individu. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pemahaman siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dengan gaya belajar divergen, asimilatif, konvergen dan akomodatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA ITP Surabaya yang terdiri dari 4 siswa dengan masing-masing memiliki gaya belajar divergen, asimilatif, konvergen dan akomodatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif karena bertujuan mengeksplor serta rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa subjek divergen memiliki pemahaman formal dalam memahami masalah, relasional dalam menyusun rencana, instrumental dalam melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali. Subjek asimilatif memiliki pemahaman formal dalam memahami masalah dan menyusun rencana, kemudian memiliki pemahaman instrumental dalam melaksanakan rencana dan memeriksa kembali. Subjek konvergen memiliki pemahaman formal dalam memahami masalah, relasional dalam menyusun, melaksanakan rencana dan memeriksa kembali. Sedangkan subjek akomodatif memiliki pemahaman formal dalam memahami masalah, relasional dalam menyusun rencana, instrumental dalam melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali. Abstract

Anak Usia Dini (AUD) identik dengan bermain untuk mengembangkan fisik mototrik anak. Untuk mendukung perkembangan fisik motorik anak, orang tua dan pendidik perlu memfasilitasi dengan berbagai jenis alat permainan. Untuk mendukung pembelajaran, maka sangat tepat jika dalam proses belajar, anak-anak didukung dengan alat permainan edukatif yang memadai. Salah satu tema yang diajarkan kepada anak usia dini adalah tentang konsep bilangan. Pengetahuan anak dalam mengenal konsep bilangan merupakan dasar untuk belajar matematika pada jenjang yang lebih tinggi nantinya. Sehingga perlu dikembangkan alat permainan edukatif yang mengajarkan tentang konsep bilangan. Untuk membuat alat permainan edukatif dapat memanfaatkan barang-barang yang dapat ditemukan di lingkungan sekitar yang harganya yang murah, mudah didapatkan dan untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik yang susah diurai. Berdasarkan observasi lapangan diketahui bahwa pemahaman anak terhadap konsep bilangan masih kurang, namun alat peraga yang tersedia di Pos PAUD Terpadu di Kecamatan Gondang Kota Mojokerto dinilai masih kurang. Untuk itu diberikan solusi untuk diadakan Pelatihan Pembuatan Dan Penggunaan Alat Permainan Edukatif Bagi Anak Usia Dini dengan menggunakan benda-benda di lingkungan sekitar. Dari kegiatan pelatihan tersebut, dihasilkan 3 jenis alat permaianan edukatif yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengajarkan konsep bilangan bagi anak usia dini.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of communication interaction within group discussion based on gender in Mathematics’ study particularly straight-line equations. The research was carried out at 8th grade in SMP Negeri 1 Driyorejo The research involves two kind of subject namely the women's group and the men's group which each group consisted of three students and is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. There are three stages in collecting students’ data: interview before the class started, record each conversation during the group discussion, and interview after the learning process. In terms of validity of the research, those data are checked using time triangulation. The results show that women’s group are more active during discussion compare with man’s group. While all member in women’s group communicated actively in solving problem, some of men’s member contributed in solving problem in worksheet

Abstract

The role of the teacher is one of the most important aspects or factors that impact learning success. As a result, prospective teachers must have technical pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) skills, as these are the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) with content knowledge of mathematics, pedagogy, and knowledge of students. The subjects in this study were students or prospective mathematics education teachers who had obtained theories regarding mathematical content, pedagogy, student knowledge, and technology, but they lacked experience in integrating these knowledges. As a result of the study, students are better equipped to integrate technology with mathematical curriculum, pedagogy, and student understanding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of overcoming the lack of understanding of student’s material to improve student learning outcomes, namely question and answer multi direction method. This learning method, students are expected to be more active, creative, and able to develop concepts to solve mathematical problems appropriately. The aim is to determine the effect of question and answer multi-direction on mathematic learning outcome in pythagorasin 8th class students of SMP N 19 Surabaya. The design used is a post-tes-only control group. The population in this research were all 8th students at SMP N 19 Surabaya. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, the samples obtained are class VIII-E and class VIII-F. The data collection technique used is the test method. The data analysis technique used normality lest, homogenity, and t-test. Based on analysis of the data obtained that the sample is normally distributed and homogenous. Bu analyzing the data using the t-test, it was obtained that with a significant level of 0,05 and . This shows that is greater than . Then it was concluded that there was an effect of question and answer multi-direction on mathematic learning outcome in pythagoras in 8th class students of SMP N 19 Surabaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the critical thinking process of junior high school students with choleric personalities in solving mathematical problems. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were two students of MTs Hasanuddin Sidoarjo class VIII who had choleric personalities obtained from the results of personality tests. The research stages used by the researchers consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the analysis stage. The data collection technique in this research is the technique of giving the Mathematical Problem Solving Test (TPMM) and interviews later to obtain valid and credible data, researchers use source triangulation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the choleric subject in solving mathematical problems shows the criteria for critical thinking: focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview at the stage of understanding the problem. At the stage of making a plan for the completion of the choleric subject, it fulfills the criteria for critical thinking, focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview. Likewise, at the stage of implementing the completion plan, the choleric subject meets the criteria for critical thinking, focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview. Meanwhile, at the stage of re-examining the completion plan, the choleric subject only met the criteria for critical thinking, focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, did not meet the criteria for critical thinking overview. Abstract

The preparation of research articles is an obligation of high school teachers as an effort to support their careers. However, many of the teachers of SMAN 1 Dawarblandong have experienced difficulties in compiling articles. This community service uses workshops. The participants are teachers of SMAN 1 Dawarblandong. This activity will be divided into two stages, namely the initial stage starting with the dissemination of the delivery of the definition of scientific articles and the importance of writing scientific articles and the second stage of a workshop on assisting the preparation of scientific articles based on research results. From these activities, it was found that teachers were more familiar with the basic concepts of scientific articles and were able to compile scientific articles of research results well.

Abstract

It is important for students to use educational media appropriately in order to achieve successful learning outcomes. According to observations observed at SMP PGRI Buduran, learning media are not used optimally in the classroom despite the school providing a computer with an access to the internet. In order to implement one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the PPM team at PGRI Adi Buana University collaborates with SMP Negeri 1 Buduran Sidoarjo teachers in preparing mathematics learning media by maximizing the powerpoint features. During this activity, the PPM Team used various PowerPoint features to create learning materials, interactive quizzes, and evaluation tools, including the VBA feature, which is still very rarely used. The training was conducted well, and all participants listened and participated enthusiastically.
