Abstract

Mental health problems in adolescents have an impact on risky behavior. Preventive measures can be taken through early detection in adolescents. This study aims to analyze the correlation of age with emotional problems, behavioral problems, hyperactivity problems, and peer problems in school-age adolescents in Jayapura City. The study design used was cross-sectional. The population taken was adolescents aged 11-17 years who were studying in junior high school-high school. The sample size was 397 respondents and was selected using multistage random sampling technique in 12 secondary schools spread across 4 districts (sub-districts) in Jayapura City. Data processing and analysis were assisted by SPSS 21 software and Spearman Correlation test (CI 95%, α = 0.05). The results showed that there was a positive correlation between age and emotional problem scores (p= 0.038, r= 0.104) with a weak correlation level and small relationship strength. A negative correlation was also found between age and behavioral problem scores (p= 0.010, r= -0.129). the level of correlation between age and behavioral problem scores is a weak correlation with a small strength of relationship. Therefore, it can be concluded that the age of adolescents has a significant correlation with the emotional and behavioral conditions of adolescents.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pernikahan dini dan kehamilan pada remaja dapat terjadi karena berbagai faktor, seperti nilai social budaya yang masih sangat kuat, serta pengetahuan dan persepsi yang masih kurang tentang kesehatan reproduksi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan edukasi kepada remaja tentang perencanaan usia menikah dan kesehatan reproduksi, sehingga terjadi peningkatan pemahaman kepada remaja pedesaan. Pemberian edukasi dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media film. Sasaran dalam kegiatan ini yakni remaja di MAN Jayapura sebanyak 30 orang. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan pengukuran pengetahuan dan persepsi tentang kesehatan reproduksi remaja, sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan menggunakan kuesioner. Indikator keberhasilan kegiatan terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata skor pengetahuan dan persepsi. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa media film mampu meningkatkan skor pengetahuan menjadi 79.8% dari skor total dan skor persepsi remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi menjadi 88.9% dari skor total.Abstract: Early marriage and pregnancy in adolescents can occur due to various factors, such as socio-cultural values that are still very strong, as well as knowledge and perceptions that are still lacking about reproductive health. This community service activity aims to provide education to adolescents about planning for marriage age and reproductive health, so that there is an increase in understanding for rural adolescents. Education is provided in the form of counseling using film media. The target of this activity is adolescents at MAN Jayapura as many as 30 people. Evaluation of the activity is carried out by measuring knowledge and perceptions about adolescent reproductive health, before and after counseling using a questionnaire. The indicator of the success of the activity can be seen from the increase in the average score of knowledge and perception. The results of this activity show that film media is able to increase the knowledge score to 79.8% of the total score and the adolescent perception score about reproductive health to 88.9% of the total score.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap pencapaian hasil belajar fisika pada peserta didik kelas X. Pendekatan penelitian yang diterapkan adalah survei. Dalam penelitian ini, kemandirian belajar dijadikan sebagai variabel bebas, sementara hasil belajar berfungsi sebagai variabel terikat. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas X yang tersebar dalam tujuh kelas dengan total sebanyak 238 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan metode multi tahap dengan teknik pengacakan secara acak (multi stage random sampling), sehingga diperoleh lima kelas sebagai sampel, yaitu kelas X.1, kelas X.2, kelas X.4, kelas X.6, dan kelas X.7. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif serta statistik inferensial. Melalui analisis deskriptif yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa tingkat kemandirian belajar peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi, demikian pula dengan hasil belajar fisika. Sementara itu, hasil pengujian inferensial mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar dengan prestasi belajar fisika. Dengan demikian, peningkatan hasil belajar dapat dilakukan melalui upaya penguatan kemandirian dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

National defense training for prospective teachers is a strategic effort to develop resilient, disciplined educators with a strong sense of national identity. This article presents an evaluation of a community service program in the form of national defense training assistance for 21 students of the first cohort of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program at Cenderawasih University. The three-day program was conducted at the National Defense Education Depot, RINDAM XVII Cenderawasih, combining interactive lectures, simulations, and field practices such as drill regulations (PBB), ceremonial procedures, group dynamics, and field psychology. The experiential learning approach and collaboration with the military were key to the program's implementation. Evaluation through pretest-posttest and participatory observation revealed significant improvements: all participants (100%) achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) in the posttest, compared to only 14.29%-38.10% in the pretest. The greatest improvement was in drill regulations (85.71%), followed by military honors (80.95%), and national insight (71.43%). Qualitatively, participants showed enhanced discipline, teamwork, confidence, and understanding of national values. Activities such as campfires and field psychology simulations further strengthened solidarity and leadership skills. This program demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating experience-based training and educational-military partnerships in preparing prospective teachers as agents of character development for the younger generation. The results recommend incorporating similar training models into the PPG curriculum to reinforce the academic, social, and nationalistic competencies of future educators.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the feasibility of an e-module on particle dynamics developed using Flip PDF Professional and to analyze the improvement of students’ physics problem-solving skills. The research subjects were physics education students at Cenderawasih University The research employed an R&D method with the 4D model. The data analysis technique for assessing product feasibility used a standardized scale. The e-module evaluation was conducted through expert validation, and the results were analyzed quantitatively. Furthermore, to determine the impact of the developed e-module on students’ physics problem-solving abilities, an N-gain analysis was applied. To obtain scores for the research variables, a physics problem-solving skills test instrument was used. The validation results showed that the e-module was categorized as very good by media experts (average score 38.5) and material experts (average score 41.5). Field testing indicated that the improvement in problem-solving skills was in the moderate  category, with an N-gain value of 0.69 and an average post-test score of 80.20. Based on the findings obtained, this e-module has been proven to be feasible to function as one of the optional teaching materials in physics lessons.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the use of a virtual laboratory based on an electric circuit (EC) studio on dynamic electrical materials and to help physics education students and to determine the effect of using an EC studio-based virtual laboratory on dynamic electrical materials. This study uses qualitative descriptive research with a survey method through the provision of questionnaires filled out by 15 second-semester students of the physics education study program, at Cenderawasih University. Quantitative data was collected using a questionnaire with an approach to science process skills on dynamic electrical materials with the help of the EC studio application, while qualitative data was in the form of responses given by students about virtual laboratory media on dynamic electrical materials. There are three indicators that serve as a reference in analyzing the EC studio-based virtual laboratory on dynamic electricity: learning motivation, the stimulus for higher-order thinking skills, and understanding of concepts and problem-solving. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that students’ responses were very good to the EC studio-based virtual laboratory media because students could repeat themselves if they did not understand. The use of this media makes it easier for students to understand dynamic electricity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengelolaan laboratorium IPA di Sekolah Menengah Atas seringkali menghadapi tantangan terutama dalam hal pengelolaan alat, bahan, serta jadwal penggunaan laboratorium. Selama ini, pengelolaan laboratorium masih menggunakan metode manual yang cenderung memakan waktu dan rentan terhadap kesalahan pencatatan yang mempengaruhi kualitas dan kesiapan peserta didik dalam melakukan kegiatan praktikum. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, diterapkan sistem pengelolaan laboratorium berbasis QR Code di SMA YPK Diaspora Kotaraja. Sistem ini bertujuan mempermudah proses pendataan, peminjaman, dan pelacakan alat serta bahan laboratorium. Kegiatan ini juga bertujuan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja laboran dan guru IPA, sekaligus mengembangkan hardskill terkait teknologi digital dan softskill seperti kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan keteraturan administrasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan dan pendampingan kepada enam guru IPA dan 40 siswa kelas XI di SMA YPK Diaspora, Kotaraja. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru dan siswa terhadap sistem QR Code. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan Lab berbasis QR Code merupakan inovasi yang dapat dengan mudah diadopsi di sekolah-sekolah lain yang menghadapi tantangan serupa. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui survei sederhana yang diberikan pada guru-guru, dengan hasil 80% berada pada kategori baik dan Tingkat pemahaman peserta didik di atas 40% berada pada kategori sangat baik dan di atas 35% berada pada kategori baik.Abstract: Science laboratory management in high schools often faces challenges, especially in terms of managing equipment, materials, and laboratory usage schedules. Currently, laboratory management still uses manual methods that tend to be time-consuming and prone to recording errors that affect the quality and readiness of students in conducting practical activities. To overcome these problems, a QR Code-based laboratory management system was implemented at SMA YPK Diaspora Kotaraja. This system aims to simplify the process of data collection, borrowing, and tracking of laboratory equipment and materials. This activity also aims to improve the work efficiency of laboratory assistants and science teachers, while simultaneously developing hard skills related to digital technology and soft skills such as discipline, responsibility, and administrative order. The activity was carried out through counseling and mentoring for six science teachers and 40 grade 11 students at SMA YPK Diaspora, Kotaraja. Evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire to measure the level of teacher and student understanding of the QR Code system. The results obtained indicate that QR Code-based Lab management is an innovation that can be easily adopted in other schools facing similar challenges. This was proven through a simple survey given to teachers, with the results that 80% were in the good category and the level of student understanding above 40% was in the very good category and above 35% was in the good category.
