Abstract

Speaking is a productive skill. As a second and foreign language, learning speaking is considered to be difficult among the four skills because there many things that we have to consider in speaking. the students of English Department have problems in speaking skill. So the researcher using youtube video presentation to enhance their speaking. The statement of the problem was how is the students’ speaking skill be enhance by using youtube video presentation. The researcher used pre experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. The population were all students’ of English Department. The sample were 20 students. The data collected by using pretest and post-test. The data collected will be analyze based on scoring the students’ performance in youtube video presentation, calculating the mean score,and the see the comparison score in pretes and posttest. The result of post-test shows significant improvements in speaking score compared to the result of pre-test. in pretest, most of the students were in the poor and fair classification, just two students got good classfication. while in post test, two students got excelent classification, eight students got very good, eight students got good , and just one students got fair classification. The researcher can concluded that YouTube video presentations could enhance students' speaking skills.. it supports the notion that video presentations can be a valuable tool for language learning . YouTube video presentations offer an opportunity for students to engage with authentic language use and real-world contexts.

Abstract

The utilization of saline land for Indigofera zollingeriana cultivation is an opportunity to develop livestock in coastal areas. Salinity in coastal areas influences plant growth, particularly in the initial growth stages, because high salinity levels inhibit the uptake of both water and nutrients from the roots so that the plants will dry out. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effects of various doses of gamma irradiation and NaCl stress on the early growth of Indigofera zollingeriana Mutant-2 seeds via a complete randomized design (CRD) with a 2x5 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The factors were salinity stress and irradiation dose. The first factor was salinity stress, which consisted of 0 mM NaCl and 40 mM NaCl. Second, the irradiation doses were 0 Gy, 50 Gy, 100 Gy, 150 Gy, and 200 Gy. The research results were analysed via analysis of variance (ANOVA), and significantly different treatments were evaluated via the DMRT test via the SAS Studio program. There was a significant difference in the effects of irradiation dose and NaCl stress on the germination rate, germination rate, mortality rate, radicle length, and plumula length, but the results were not significant for the seedling height, stem diameter, root length, number of cotyledons, or number of leaves. The DMRT results revealed that Indigofera treated with irradiation at a dose of 200 Gy had better germination rates, mortality rates, radicle rates, and plumula rates under both salinity stress conditions and gamma ray doses.

Abstract

Pengelolaan lahan di Gunung Tolong, Kelurahan Lumpue, Kecamatan Bacukiki Barat, Kota Parepare, Sulawesi Selatan, yang merupakan lokasi rawan longsor dan banjir karena merupakan lahan miring dan berbatu, sehingga miskin air dan hara, padahal dimanfaatkan untuk berusahatani cabe. Solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah melakukan teknik budidaya cabe dengan konservasi lahan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melakukan mitigasi bencana di lahan kering, miring, dan rawan longsor, yang dijadilan sebagai lahan pertanian oleh petani. Tahapan kegiatan ini dimulai dengan memberi penyuluhan tentang teknik konservasi di lahan kering, kemudian dilakukan pemasangan lubang resapan biopori sebanyak 174 lubang yang meliputi 1.47 ha lahan. Untuk mengatasi masalah keterbatasan air, dibuat penampungan air ukuran 4x6 meter yang terbuat dari geo-membran sebanyak 9 titik. Metode yang digunakan berupa penyuluhan dan demontrasi plot. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan kesadaran dan pengetahuan anggota Kelompok Tani Mappasitujue yang mengelola kawasan tersebut untuk melakukan pengelolaan berbasis konservasi. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memberi aset investasi berupa ketersediaan air di dalam tanah dengan biopori dan di permukaan tanah dengan penampungan embung karet geomembran. Sehingga terjadi peningkatan kapasitas produksi cabe masyarakat. Kegiatan ini telah berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, sesuai dengan tujuan Proram Kosabangsa.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the process of extracting information from text and is considered opinion mining. Machine learning experiments have been demonstrated in research involving reviews, blogs, for several texts written in different languages ​​including Dutch, English, and French. A set of example sentences was prepared which were manually labeled neutral, positive, or negative. This study covers consumer curiosity about certain consumer products. A categorization model has been developed that has been used in research. A number of issues involving the noisy nature of text have been addressed in research. With an accuracy of around 83%, positive, negative and neutral sentiment towards the subject under study can be determined using unigram features enriched with linguistic information. The role of active learning approaches in minimizing the number of examples that need to be manually annotated is discussed in this article. This research provides data on the transferability of the studied model. Sentiment analysis of a particular employee has been studied using K-Means Clustering and SVM classification to classify the sentiment of the text.
