Abstract

Listening is important to be learned by students in learning English language. However, students find it hard to comprehend and understand the language, because students are not accustom to the language. To help students to accustom to the language and improve listening skill needs proper medium in learning activity. Using podcast as medium in learning listening is expected to help the students accustom to the language. The research was conducted at SMK Putra Pakuan that involved 33 students of X TKJ as the sample from the total population 135 students of tenth grade. Pre-experimental method and one group pre-test post-test design were used. T-test formula is used to analyze the data. Based on data calculation, the result of t-test value is 4.26. Meanwhile, t-table value is 2.03 at significant level 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) is 32. It shows that the t-test value is higher than t-table value (4.262.03). It means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that podcast has an effect on students listening comprehension.

Abstract

Pedagogy and Content Knowledge (TPACK) which is a unification between the use of technology, knowledge in the field of pedagogy and knowledge related to lesson content is currently being intensified by the government to be practiced in schools. Teachers are required to develop one more skill in their profession, namely the skill of using technology-based learning media that is in accordance with pedagogical principles and is also relevant to the lesson content. Due to the importance of integrating TPACK into learning, material on TPACK currently has its own portion in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) curriculum. But what are the techniques for teaching TPACK so that teachers' skills in integrating TPACK into learning can improve? In this study, the researcher who is also the supervisor of learning practices in the PPG program directs students to prepare for learning practices using the Lesson Study. The TPACK teaching is carried out using the hands-on at the preparation stage (plan). After planning (plan), students who are selected to become model teachers will practice teaching as is done by all students, but the model teacher learning videos will be observed by other students and other students will provide input and observations during the reflection phase (see) . After three cycles of learning practice were carried out, students showed significant improvements both in learning tools and in learning practices.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aimed to develop bilingual Mathematics and Science teaching materials using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The target participants were Mathematics and Science teachers at SMP Kesatuan Bogor. The program was conducted throughout February 2026, employing the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). It began with a focus group discussion to identify relevant topics to be redesigned in English. Teachers were then trained on how to utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Gamma to create contextual and level-appropriate materials. The outcome included two Mathematics and three Science learning modules written in English, enriched with problem-solving exercises in the form of case studies. Evaluation results indicated that the teachers were able to independently develop bilingual teaching materials, and students showed a high level of engagement with the content. This activity had a positive impact on enhancing teachers’ capacity to design innovative lessons and provided students with a more interactive and meaningful learning experience.

Abstract

The Impact of Exploratory Practice: A Mixed-Methods Study on Writing Motivation and Performance among EFL Undergraduates. Investigating the effects of Exploratory Practice (EP) on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners’ motivation and writing skills can provide new insights into improving writing classes. Objective: The objective of the present study is to investigate the impacts of EP on a group of EFL college students’ writing motivation and writing skills. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental research design, implementing reflective discussions and collaborative inquiry through EP. To understand improvements in students’ motivation, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were administered to 23 participants. Findings: The quantitative results showed some improvements in students’ self-efficacy, extrinsic motivation, and writing scores. However, intrinsic motivation and efforts to complete writing tasks did not show statistically significant changes. To better understand these nonsignificant results, qualitative data were used to explore students’ experiences during the EP process. Participants reported increased confidence, reduced anxiety, and greater ability to organize ideas through peer discussions and reflective activities. They also described a more meaningful, less mechanical writing process, which may indicate early signs of motivational internalization, even if not reflected quantitatively. Conclusion: The outcomes imply that EP can be a feasible approach to enhance students’ motivation and writing skills in an EFL context. Despite the apparent success of EP in this study, its successful implementation in writing classrooms depends on students’ involvement in the learning and teaching process and teachers’ continuous support. Keywords: exploratory practice, writing motivation, EFL learners, reflective learning, writing performance.
