The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to explore classroom practices, teacher roles, and supporting conditions influencing character development. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation analysis involving teachers, students, and the school principal. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education learning is implemented through structured instructional processes, varied teaching methods, contextual learning materials, and consistent classroom management. Teachers’ exemplary behavior and interactive learning strategies play a significant role in reinforcing religious values. Supportive school culture and parental collaboration strengthen students’ religious character, while challenges such as limited instructional time, student diversity, and external influences require adaptive strategies. Abstract

The digital era presents both challenges and opportunities for Islamic educational institutions in rural areas. This study aims to explore the integration of digital literacy in the process of building students' religious character in rural Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Using a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, this research highlights how the use of information technology can transform conventional moral learning methods into more adaptive and interactive ones. The results indicate that digital literacy is not merely the mastery of technical devices, but a means to instill Islamic values through educative digital content. Despite facing infrastructural limitations in rural areas, collaboration between teachers, parents, and the appropriate use of digital media has proven effective in strengthening students' religious character, such as honesty in cyberspace and digital responsibility. This transformation demonstrates that rural madrasahs are capable of adapting to modernity without losing the essence of faith-based character education.

Abstract

The quality of learning in higher education is strongly influenced by students' learning motivation, particularly in teacher education programs such as PGMI (Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah). This literature review examines various learning strategies implemented to enhance student motivation among PGMI students at UINFAS Bengkulu. The analysis covers active learning strategies, cooperative learning, self-regulated learning, and technology-integrated instruction. The reviewed studies indicate that active and cooperative learning strategies significantly improve student engagement, intrinsic motivation, and academic performance. Self-regulated learning approaches support students in developing autonomy and metacognitive skills, while technology-based strategies address the digital learning preferences of contemporary students. However, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy among educators, inadequate infrastructure, and the need for pedagogical alignment. The review concludes that a combination of active, cooperative, and technology-supported learning strategies is essential to foster sustainable motivation among PGMI students, provided that institutional support and teacher competence are continuously strengthened.

Abstract

The current rise in moral and ethical crises has affected and damaged Indonesia's young generation. This is due to numerous factors, including inappropriate social interactions, the circulation of inappropriate videos and images among teenagers, and a lack of religious knowledge and guidance. To address this moral and ethical crisis among young people, the Indonesian government has taken aggressive action by implementing character education in schools. Addressing this problem is, of course, the responsibility of PGMI teachers. This study aims to determine the role and efforts of PGMI teachers in internalizing Islamic character values ??among students at SDN 35, Bengkulu City, and the forms of Islamic character values ??that students should possess. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are drawn from primary sources in the form of interviews and secondary sources in the form of literature studies such as books and journals related to this discussion. The results of this study indicate that the role of PGMI teachers in internalizing Islamic character values ??in students at SDN 35, Bengkulu City, is to guide, direct, and provide good role models, as well as consistently instilling moral values ??in students so that these character values ??are firmly embedded in their personalities. With this research, it is hoped that PGMI teachers can effectively internalize Islamic character values ??in students.
