Abstract

Study was motivated by the gap between conventional teaching approaches and the needs of elementary school students in understanding Pancasila values in a contextual and meaningful way. Many instructional practices remain teacher-centered, lacking the capacity to engage students actively and stimulate their interest. The purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness of interactive learning media in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Pancasila Education. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School Number 1 Kaobula, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The research instrument consisted of learning outcome tests administered before and after the intervention. Results revealed that students who learned using interactive learning media demonstrated significantly higher achievement compared to those who received conventional instruction. This difference was further supported by t-test analysis and effect size calculations, which indicated a strong and meaningful impact. Conclusion of this study is that interactive learning media is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of Pancasila values and provides a more engaging, active, and meaningful learning experience within the context of character education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This article is the result of community service activities carried out collaboratively by students, teachers, and lecturers of the University of Muhammadiyah Buton through the School Field Introduction (PLP) 2 program at SD Negeri 1 Wameo. The purpose of this activity is to instill and internalize the values of local wisdom as the basis for the formation of peace-loving character in elementary school students. The implementation method includes three main stages, namely: (1) character development through an educational approach, (2) application of local values through interactive and contextual activities such as role-playing, and (3) strengthening and interpreting character through reflection and habituation. The local values raised are sourced from the Buton cultural philosophy, namely PO-5: Pomaamaasiaka (loving each other), Popiapiara (caring for each other), Pomaemaeka (mutual respect), Poangka-angkata (raising each other's dignity), and Pobincibinciki (caring for each other's feelings). The results of the activity showed that students not only understood grades cognitively, but were also able to experience them emotionally and socially in daily life. This activity proves that an approach based on local wisdom can be an effective strategy in strengthening character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran ini sering kali melibatkan pendekatan berbasis proyek yang memungkinkan siswa bekerja sama untuk menyelesaikan tugas tertentu, melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui Kemampuan Membaca Siswa Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan Strategi Pembelajaran Interaktif pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) adalah jenis karya tulis akademik yang menitik beratkan pada refleksi dengan melakukan tindakan-tindakan yang relevan atau memperbaiki atau meningkatkan prestasi dan hasil belajar siswa serta mempertimbangkan konsep-konsep yang baru di kenalkan. Penelitian tindakan kelas terbagi menjadi empat siklus, dan keempat kegiatan yang ada dalam siklus adalah a. perencanaan b. pelaksanaan c. pengamatan d. refleksi. Hasil belajar siswa yang meningkat dapat dilihat pada nilai yang diperoleh siswa pada prasiklus, siklus I dan siklus II. Diketahui pada prasiklus presentase ketuntasan belajar adalah 34% lalu mengalami peningkatan di siklus I sebesar 43% dan terjadi lagi peningkatan di siklus II sebesar 85%. Nah melihat presentase tersebut peneliti telah melampaui ketuntasan belajar sekolah dan untuk melihat respon dan keaktivan siswa dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi yang diketahui pada siklus I mencapai 43% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 80%.

Abstract

Seiring kemajuan teknologi, pendidikan matematika di Indonesia khususnya pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar memerlukan inovasi untuk mengatasi kesulitan memahami materi perkalian. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan pemahaman, keterampilan, dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa SD melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran inovatif yaitu permainan kartu domino edukatif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton di Kelurahan Lanto, Kecamatan Batupoaro, Kota Baubau. Metode yang diterapkan terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, siswa diperkenalkan dengan kartu domino edukatif yang dirancang untuk membantu memahami konsep perkalian melalui permainan interaktif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman materi perkalian, semua peserta yang sebelumnya kesulitan dapat menjawab pertanyaan dengan benar setelah mengikuti kegiatan. Untuk mengukur kemampuan peserta setelah kegiatan serta melihat perbedaan pemahaman atau kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan menggunakan metode evaluasi kualitatif berupa wawancara dan diskusi kelompok. Kartu domino edukatif terbukti efektif meningkatkan partisipasi, memperkaya pengalaman belajar, serta menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar matematika. Namun, kegiatan ini memiliki keterbatasan, seperti waktu adaptasi yang diperlukan dan jumlah media yang terbatas. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan untuk guru dan orang tua serta pengembangan media pembelajaran lain di masa depan sangat diperlukan untuk keberlanjutan dan perluasan penggunaan metode ini.

Abstract

Technological advances in the era of globalization have caused a shift in social values, which has the potential to reduce the younger generation's understanding and appreciation of their cultural heritage. In response to this situation, the Baubau City Government has established policies, but elementary school students' awareness and understanding of preserving Buton's cultural values and local wisdom are still minimal. This study comprehensively examines the implementation of policies to strengthen cultural values and local wisdom in elementary schools in Baubau City, using a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation at three elementary schools. The data shows that the policy has been integrated into intracurricular and extracurricular activities and the creation of school culture through the instillation of discipline and school rules, with several obstacles found, including limited resources and suboptimal monitoring, evaluation, and accountability. These findings provide effective input for the formulation of policies and guidelines for the sustainable implementation of strengthening Buton’s cultural values and local wisdom.
