Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan perpustakaan sebagai sumber belajar di SD Islam Terpadu Al Muhsin Metro. Jenis penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Sumber data penelitian adalah pendidik, peserta didik, kepala sekolah, petugas perpustakaan, dan orang tua. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pengelolaan perpustakaan sudah berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari adanya sarana, pemeliharaan, perawatan, dan koleksi buku, untuk koleksi buku fiksi sendiri belum mencapai persentase ideal, (2) pemanfaatan perpustakaan sudah berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari jam buka layanan, frekuensi kunjungan, jenis buku yang paling banyak dimanfaatkan, materi pelajaran yang digunakan, akses peminjaman yang ditawarkan, dan adanya pojok baca yang mendukung, (3) pembiasaan pendidik melakukan pembelajaran di perpustakaan sudah berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari jadwal kunjungan dan pembiasaan perilaku positif yang telah diterapkan, (4) faktor pendukung dan penghambat dari penggunaan perpustakaan paling banyak dijumpai pada faktor eksternal yaitu kurang luasnya bangunan perpustakaan sebagai faktor penghambat dan buku yang bervariasi sebagai faktor pendukung, (5) upaya dalam meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung dilakukan dengan cara pemberian layanan yang baik, promosi perpustakaan kepada peserta didik, dan penciptaan kondisi perpustakaan yang nyaman dan kondusif.

Abstract

The problem in this study was the low English learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. This study aimed to determine the effect of the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the scramble type on the English learning outcomes of fourth-grade students. This research was a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study consisted of 622 students, representing the total number of all fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Jatimulyo. The sample consisted of 52 students, divided into two classes: 26 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included tests in the form of multiple choice pretests and posttests, and non-test techniques in the form of observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was simple linear regression. The results of this study showed a significant effect of the implementation of the scramble type cooperative learning model on the English learning outcomes of fourth-grade students.

Abstract

The low level of students’ mathematical problem-solving ability at SD Negeri 6 Metro Timur constituted the main issue in this study. This research aimed to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, and to examine the differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities between students who received learning through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and those who received learning through the scientific approach. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of students from classes IVA and IVB, which were assigned as the control and experimental groups and selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using test and non-test techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using simple linear regression and an Independent Sample t-test. The results of the simple linear regression test showed that the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and the scientific approach influenced students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities by 66% and 61%. This finding is further supported by the results of the Independent Sample T-test indicated a significant difference in mathematical problem-solving abilities between students who received learning through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and those who received learning through the scientific approach. Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low learning motivation of elementary school students, which is reflected in students lack of interest in learning activities, low active participation during lessons, and insufficient internal drive to achieve optimal learning outcomes. This condition is presumed to be closely related to teachers personality competence, considering that teachers play a strategic role as educators, mentors, and role models in the learning process. Teachers with strong personality competence are expected to create a conducive, engaging, and motivating learning environment that encourages students to learn more effectively.This study aims to determine the effect of teachers personality competence on students learning motivation in elementary schools. The research employed a quantitative approach using an ex-post facto research design, which seeks to identify causal relationships based on existing conditions without providing specific treatments to the research subjects. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students in the elementary school, totaling 44 students. A saturated sampling technique was applied, meaning that the entire population was used as the research sample. Data were collected using a non-test technique in the form of questionnaires designed to measure teachers personality competence and students learning motivation. The collected data were then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis to test the research hypothesis. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that H₁ was accepted and H₀ was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that teachers personality competence has a significant effect on students learning motivation in elementary schools. Based on the findings of this study, it is evident that teachers personality competence has a positive influence on students’ learning motivation, indicating that the better the teachers’ personality competence, the higher the students’ learning motivation
