Abstract

This study aims to analyze religious moderation literacy in the Aqidah Akhlak subject through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at MTs Darul Ulum Budi Agung. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of three phases: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Observations described the implementation of the halaqah method as an effort to enhance students' religious moderation literacy. Data were collected through a religious moderation literacy test conducted before and after implementing the PBL model. The results showed a significant increase in religious moderation literacy in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average pretest score for the experimental group was 65, which increased to 85 in the posttest, while the control group only increased from 64 to 70. Data analysis confirmed the effectiveness of PBL in fostering students' engagement and critical thinking. Instrument validation showed high results in readability (89%), clarity (86%), content suitability (91%), practicality (87%), and reliability (0.86). The implementation of the PBL model proved effective in enhancing religious moderation literacy by encouraging active participation and critical thinking among students. These findings contribute to the development of instructional models in Aqidah Akhlak education by providing empirical evidence of PBL’s role in strengthening religious moderation literacy. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the PBL model be more widely implemented in Aqidah Akhlak education and other subjects related to character education and religious moderation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji perbandingan pelaksanaan pendidikan Agama Islam di Arab Saudi dan Indonesia. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kesamaan dan perbedaan dalam kebijakan, kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, serta peran pemerintah dan lembaga pendidikan di kedua negara. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi komparatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana faktor sosial, budaya, dan politik memengaruhi sistem pendidikan agama Islam di masing-masing negara. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sistem pendidikan agama Islam di Arab Saudi lebih terstruktur dan menitikberatkan pada pengajaran Al-Qur'an, Hadis, serta hukum Islam secara mendalam, dengan keterlibatan pemerintah yang signifikan dalam penyusunan kebijakan dan implementasinya. Sebaliknya, di Indonesia, pendidikan agama Islam lebih bersifat inklusif dan menyesuaikan diri dengan keberagaman sosial-budaya, sehingga metode pengajarannya lebih bervariasi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai kelebihan dan tantangan dari sistem pendidikan agama Islam di kedua negara serta menawarkan gagasan inovatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran agama Islam agar lebih relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi akademisi dan praktisi pendidikan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan agama Islam di tingkat global.

Abstract

Moderate Islam is a teaching that is able to keep up with the times and doesnot leave the teachings after it. But now, most people consider moderateIslam as a liberal or deviant teaching. Therefore, Muslims are calledummatan washatan, harmonious and balanced people, because they areable to combine the two poles of the previous religion, namely Judaismwhich is too down to earth and Christianity which is too high. Theunderstanding of moderate Islamic values is currently starting to be erodedby changing times, so that many people misunderstand moderate Islamwhich is considered a compromise of religious theological beliefs withadherents of other religions, so that people perceive moderation as aliberal attitude, and raise public antipathy in dealing with religiousmoderation. Moderation Literacy referred to in this service activity isreinforcing the importance of understanding related to religiousmoderation for Muhammadiyah organization cadres at the MuhammadiyahBinjai Branch Leadership. This activity of strengthening religiousmoderation literacy is carried out by training methods by presentingvarious materials related to religious moderation that are oriented toMuhammadiyah ideological texts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the values of religious moderation are actualized in daily life in multi-ethnic schools in Medan City. The city of Medan, as a multicultural city, presents challenges as well as opportunities in fostering a tolerant and inclusive attitude among students from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds. A qualitative approach was used in this study with case study methods in several secondary schools that represented this diversity. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, principals, and students, and analysis of curriculum and school program documents. Data analysis techniques are carried out with the following steps: Data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and a conclusion drawn. Then, the data is processed using the ATLAS.ti 9 application. The results of the study show that the actualization of the value of religious moderation is reflected through the integration of tolerance materials in religious learning and PPKn, strengthening the role of teachers as agents of moderation, and the implementation of interfaith and cultural activities that strengthen social harmony. However, this study also found a number of challenges, such as the lack of teacher training in religious moderation and the external influence of social media that contains intolerance content. Therefore, synergy between schools, the government, and the community is needed to support the sustainability of religious moderation practices in a more systematic and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Drill and Practice method in improving students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education in class X of SMKS Budi Agung. The Drill and Practice method is a learning approach that emphasizes repetitive practice with the aim of improving students' skills and understanding effectively. This study uses the observation stage and data analysis using quantitative analysis. The results of the study show that students' learning outcomes have increased in each cycle, in cycle I the average score was 69.2 with a completion percentage of 52%, while in cycle II the average score was 83.4 with a completion percentage of 92%. The increase in student learning outcomes between cycle I and cycle II showed an increase of 40%. So it can be concluded that the application of the Drill and Practice method to class X students at SMKS Budi Agung can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects with the material Achieving Success with Competence in Good Work Ethics (QS. Al-Maidah: 48 and QS. At-Taubah: 105).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi iman, Islam, dan ihsan melalui penerapan metode diskusi kelompok di kelas XII SMAS Harapan Paya Bakung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan subjek sebanyak 25 siswa. Analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif dilakukan setelah data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman, observasi, dan wawancara. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 60 pada siklus pertama menjadi 80 pada siklus kedua menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa. Keaktifan siswa juga meningkat dari 52% pada siklus pertama menjadi 80% pada siklus kedua. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa metode diskusi kelompok efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman kognitif sekaligus menumbuhkan sikap sosial seperti kerja sama, percaya diri, dan menghargai pendapat orang lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan metode storytelling (kisah teladan Nabi dan sahabat) dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak kelas XI serta menelaah pengaruhnya terhadap pembentukan karakter adab siswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa penerapan metode storytelling berhasil menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik, inspiratif, serta penuh makna. Selain itu, metode ini terbukti memberikan pengaruh positif dalam membentuk karakter siswa, khususnya pada aspek kesopanan, kedisiplinan, dan kesadaran moral. Keberhasilan metode ini didukung oleh keterampilan guru dalam bercerita, motivasi belajar siswa, dan dukungan dari pihak sekolah. Adapun hambatan yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan alokasi waktu, minimnya ketersediaan literatur kisah Islami, serta perbedaan tingkat konsentrasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, metode storytelling terbukti efektif sebagai strategi dalam membentuk karakter adab siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak.

Abstract

Interesting learning for students is something that must be done so that learning is more meaningful. In presenting learning in the classroom, the teacher does not only convey material using methods or strategies, but the teacher is also required to master several learning models. In fact, the model that is often used by teachers in the learning process in PAI subjects is the Lecture model. This learning model should be changed by the teacher so that the learning process is more creative, active and meaningful. Improving learning outcomes and effectiveness in the PAI learning process has been carried out through various efforts, one of which is the use of the TGT cooperative learning model. Cooperative learning model is designed to educate group cooperation and interaction between students. So there is a need for an overall re-analysis in a study to see how much cooperative learning increases on learning outcomes and how the learning process is carried out. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods. The average increase in student learning outcomes using the TGT cooperative learning model in science subjects in schools, both elementary and junior high school children, is very influential.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the role of religious education in helping the process of character formation of students at Madinatussalam Private MTs. Qualitative descriptive research method. In the process of collecting data, using observation, interviews and documentation methods. Meanwhile, for the analysis, qualitative descriptive analysis techniques are used, namely in the form of written or verbal data from people and observed behavior so that in this case the author attempts to conduct research that thoroughly describes the actual situation. The author can conclude the results of this research as follows: First, the school's efforts to realize character education are: 1) conducting Islamic studies,2) take advantage of the commemoration of Islamic Holidays (PHBI); 3) oblige and get used to saying hello and shaking hands with teachers Second, the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in forming student character: 1) maximizing the delivery of Islamic religious education material; 2) instilling the Islamic style of Ahlusunnah Waljama'ah; 3) Islamic religious education teachers must be active and be role models for their students in applying character education. Third, the strategies carried out by Islamic religious education teachers: 1) use of effective learning approach methods; 2) use of discussion and demonstration methods

Abstract

The STAD cooperative learning method is being applied in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Jabal Rahmah Mulia Boarding School Middle School. STAD is known for fostering student cooperation and active participation in learning. This research aims to assess how STAD is used in PAI and its impact on students' social interactions, religious engagement, and academic performance. Data collection methods include classroom observations, teacher interviews, and curriculum document analysis.Students actively collaborate in teams, contributing to their peers' learning and enhancing their grasp of religious concepts. However, this research also highlights challenges in implementing STAD, such as time management and the teacher's role in managing student groups. This study enhances our understanding of how cooperative learning methods can improve the teaching and learning of religious subjects in a boarding school setting.The findings of this research can serve as a valuable guide for other boarding schools looking to implement STAD to enhance students' understanding of religion, develop social skills, and improve academic achievements.
