Abstract

This study aimed to compare blowing bubbles blades to the respiratory frequency of children with asthma in the Edelweiss Room, DR. M. Yunus Bengkulu Year 2019. The research design used was quasi-experimental research. The univariate analysis results showed that the average respiratory rate before and after super bubble blow therapy was moderate (26.91). Before and after blowing the propeller, the intermediate respiratory frequency was medium (26.69) and light (24.81). The bivariate analysis results showed an effect of blowing bubbles on respiratory frequency in children with a value of p = 0.000. In conclusion, there is no difference in superbubbles blowing therapy's effectiveness by blowing bamboo propellers in children with asthma. Keywords: Respiratory Frequency, Blow Super Bubbles

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between Intervention Effectiveness Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) and Slow Deep Breathing Exercise (SDBE) in TD patients with hypertension. This type of research is an experimental design with a randomized pre-test and post-test three-group design without a control group. The results showed that there was a decrease in systolic and diastolic BP after the intervention in all groups. There was no significant difference in effectiveness between the three groups after the intervention; the optimal time to decrease systolic BP in the PMR and SDBE groups occurred on day 3. On the other hand, the diastolic BP does not show time. Optimal BP reduction. The conclusion of the three relaxation techniques effectively reduces blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Adequate time to lower blood pressure occurs on the third day. Keywords: Hypertension, Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR), Slow Deep Breathing Exercise (SDBE), Blood Pressure

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of snake and ladder educational game therapy (APE) on reducing anxiety in hospitalized children. This study uses an experimental method with a one-group pre-post test design. The number of samples used in this study was 15 samples with an incidental sampling technique. The results showed that the average level of anxiety before playing snake and ladder therapy in treated children was 19.13 with the moderate anxiety category. The anxiety story after snake therapy in treated children was 14.20 with mild class. In conclusion, playing snake and ladder therapy reduces anxiety in hospitalized children. Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences between the effectiveness of Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) and Slow Deep Breathing Exercise (SDBE) on BP of hypertension patients. The research was an experiment with a randomized pretest and posttest with three group design without a control group. There was no significant difference on the effectiveness between the three groups after intervention. The optimal time of reduction in systolic BP in the PMR and SDBE groups occurred on day three. In diastolic BP, the optimal time of reduction did not occured. Conclusion, the three relaxation techniques effectively reduced blood pressure of hypertension patients. The effective time of blood pressure reduction occurred on the third day. Abstract

Background: Bengkulu is located between Indian Ocean and Asian tectonic plates, making Bengkulu an area prone earthquake. SMKS Muhammadiyah 9 is located on shoreline with a distance of ± 2 km making the school prone to disasters. School children are one of the vulnerable groups, having greatest risk of being affected disaster. Knowledge of teachers and students is very necessary in order as anticipatory steps need to be prepared for teachers and students. Objective:  determine the effect of health education, disaster response training and earthquake simulation on student knowledge and attitudes towards earthquakes. Methods: Quantitative research with quasy experiment methods pre and post-test at SMKS Muhammadiyah 9 Bengkulu City through health education with lectures, audio-visual videos, disaster response training and earthquake simulations. Sample 52 people with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used paired t-test. Results: the average difference in knowledge and attitudes teachers and students before and after being given health education, simulation training and earthquake simulation is 2.36 and 5.73.
