Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affects over the function of farming land of nilam in the village Kukutio Watubangga District of Kolaka. The results of the research that has been done using models of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the independent variables which consists of the price of cocoa (X1), the price of nilaim (X2), age of farmers (X3), experience of cocoa farmers (X4), the experience of nilam farmers (X5), and education level of farmers (X6), are simultaneously significant effect on the dependent variable that is of land conversion (Y).

Abstract

Processing business of banana flour is a business that is the utilization of agricultural products combined with local knowledge will result in a business that is not only interested in the business, but also will increase the added value of agricultural products and the main thing is to increase the value of bananas from economical low into a product which has a high economic value can increase the added value of farmers in terms of product diversification. The business group banana flour in the village Wowoli Toari District of Kolaka comprised of mothers of farm households collected in Welasih business groups and business groups of Sido Maju. Both partners develop business plantain flour and banana farmers as provider of raw materials. Raw materials used banana banana flour that has been processed through drying. Method of activities carried out in both partners is the application and practice of using a pressing machine, pressing the practice reduces packaging for air content in aluminum foil and practices as well as the sale process of drying banana banana flour heating process. Based on the results of the training activities of banana flour processing as a result of the diversification of the banana plant can be concluded that, their knowledge of cultivation and post-harvest handling and processing technologies banana flour in an effort to increase farmers' income. Through this training, the production of abundant banana plants can be overcome because farmers can cultivate their own, in an attempt diversification of food as well as value-added income of farmers. The results of the analysis of flour processing enterprises banana production unity earn Rp 63.100 value added raw materials Rp 2.931 union production.

Abstract

This research aims to; 1) determine the factors that affect the production of patchouli production, 2) determine the allocative efficiency of production factors patchouli farming, 3) determine the scale of business, 4) To determine the financial feasibility of farming patchouli. The sample in this study is a research location patchouli farmers totaling 50 respondents. Data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglass, Statistics Test Analysis, analysis of allocative efficiency, scale of operations and financial feasibility. This study shows that: 1) The results of the analysis test F known that simultaneously all variables significant impact significantly on the production, t test results showed that the only variable land area, insecticides, and plant spacing real impact significantly on production, while seeds and fertilizers (Urea and NPK), pesticides (herbicides and fungicides), labor and parts not significant 2) from the analysis of allocative efficiency is obtained that the widespread use of land and insecticides have not been efficient, from the economic aspect adding the proportion of these variables can still be done to maximize profits , while the seeds, fertilizers (Urea and NPK), pesticides (herbicides and fungicides) and labor efficient, 3) The results of the analysis of the business scale is known that farming patchouli in District Toari under conditions of increasing returns to scale means that they do increase production factor physically to maximize production, 4) The results of a financial analysis proves that farming patchouli in District Toari provide benefits for a total of land area of 37.9 hectares, obtained acceptance of Rp 674.1 million, with a total cost of USD 310 048 508, in order to obtain net income of Rp 340 130 475, while the value of NBCR 1.17, 51.77659 million NPV, IRR of 26.3%, average BEP Revenue USD 713 393, average BEP Production of 102kg, and average BEP Price Rp 3,376/kg.

Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) is one of the plantation commodities that has an important role in the economy of coastal communities in Indonesia. Based on data released by the Central Statistics Agency, in 2020 Bombana Regency has a number of coconut plantations covering an area of 14,550 ha, and about 23 percent of which are located in Poleang District so the sub-district has the potential to produce copra production. This study aims to analyze the black and white copra marketing pattern. The analysis used is marketing channel analysis, marketing margin analysis and farmer's share, and marketing function analysis. The data used in this study are primary data obtained through interviews with respondents and secondary data obtained from relevant agencies, including the results of other studies in the form of scientific journals. The results showed that there was one copra marketing channel in Poleang District which consisted of three marketing institutions. The farmer's share analysis showed that the value received by farmers on black copra was 82,14% while that received on white copra was 78,66%. The analysis of the marketing function shows that each marketing agency has performed its marketing function well.

Abstract

Konteks pemberdayaan masyarakat sangat sesuai diterapkan dalam situasi dimana masyarakat memerlukan pendampingan untuk memberdayakan dirinya sendiri. Kondisi ini menjadi salah satu pertimbangan dilaksanakannya KKN di Desa Woise meskipun dalam keadaan pandemi Covid-19. Desa Woise merupakan salah satu Desa yang termasuk ke dalam Kecamatan Lambai, Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. yang terdiri dari 3 Dusun. Masalah yang dihadapi masyarakat di Desa Woise yaitu memiliki jenis tanah yang berpasir dan masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak tahu cara memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumahnya, sehingga masyarakat di Desa tersebut tersebut perlu diberikan bimbingan cara memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah, agar dapat membantu perekonomian keluarga mereka dimasa pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Desa Woise dengan beberapa tempat yang berbeda. Pemanfaatan pekarangan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 September 2021. Alat dan Bahan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah cangkul untuk membersihkan lahan pekarangan, polybag ukuran kecil untuk menyemai benih cabai, dan benih terong tanah dan pupuk kandang untuk media tanam, polybag ukuran besar untuk media tanam, dan rak besi sebagai tempat tanaman. Metode dan bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan tanaman sayuran dengan menggunakan polybag. Masyarakat di Desa Woise sangat senang karena mahasiswa KKN Tematik dari Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka melaksanakan program kerja pemanfaatan pekarangan rumah di Desa mereka. Dengan adanya program tersebut masyarakat menjadi tahu bagaimana cara memanfaatkan lahan atau pekarangan rumah menjadi efisien dan efektif. Capaian hasil kegiatan pelatihan tersebut diharapkan masyarakat Desa Woise dalam hal ini ibu-ibu rumah tangga dapat menanam segala jenis tanaman sayuran guna menopanang kebutuhan pangan keluarga. Kata kunci: Tanaman sayuran, Pekarangan, Budidaya, Covid-19. ABSTRACT The context of community empowerment is very suitable to be applied in situations where the community needs assistance to empower themselves. This condition is one of the considerations for implementing KKN in Woise Village despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Woise Village is one of the villages included in Lambai District, North Kolaka Regency. which consists of 3 hamlets. The problem faced by the people in Woise Village is that they have sandy soil types and there are still many people who do not know how to use their home yards, so the people in the village need to be given guidance on how to use their home yards, in order to help their family's economy during the Covid-19 pandemic. 19. This activity was carried out in Woise Village in several different places. Utilization of the yard will be carried out on September 22, 2021. The tools and materials used in this activity are hoes for cleaning the yard, small polybags for sowing chili seeds, and ground eggplant seeds and manure for planting media, large polybags for planting media, and iron shelves for plants. The methods and forms of activities carried out are counseling and training on the manufacture of vegetable crops using polybags. The people in Woise Village are very happy because the Thematic Community Service Program students from the Ninebelas November University Kolaka carry out a work program to utilize the yard of their house in their village. With this program, the community will know how to use land or yards to be efficient and effective. It is hoped that the results of the training activity will be for the Woise Village community, in this case housewives, to be able to plant all kinds of vegetable crops to support the family's food needs. Abstract

Kelompok wanita tani merupakan salah satu kelompok masyarakat yang memiliki potensi yang besar untuk diberdayakan. Terlebih kelompok wanita tani yang berada di daerah pedesaan dengan kawasan yang memiliki lahan pekarangan yang cukup luas. Lahan pekarangan dapat menjadi sumberdaya produksi yang jika dikelola dengan baik akan menjadi salah satu sumber penerimaan bagi wanita tani. Kelompok wanita tani di Desa Lamondape pada umumnya adalah ibu rumahtangga yang memiliki aktivitas bertani di lahan perkebunan atau sawah milik mereka. Jika tidak sedang berproduksi, mereka memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan dengan menanam tanaman hortikultura seperti sayur mayur. Pelatihan laporan keuangan usahatani sayur mayur diberikan kepada kelompok wanita tani agar mereka mampu mengelola keuangan usahatani sampingan dengan baik sehingga usahatani sayur mayur dari lahan pekarangan dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan alternatif bagi rumahtangga mereka. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa mereka sangat antusias dan adanya perubahan pola pikir dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan sebagai sumber penerimaan alternatif mereka. Kata kunci: Keuangan, Laporan, Manajerial, Wanita, Tani. ABSTRACT Women farmer group is one of the community groups that has great potential to be empowered. Moreover, the group of women farmers who are in rural areas with areas that have a fairly large yard. Yards can be a production resource which, if managed properly, will be a source of income for women farmers. Women farmer in Lamondape village are generally housewives who have farming activities on their plantations or rice fields. If they are not in production, they use their yards by planting horticultural crops such as vegetables. Vegetable farming financial report training is given to women farmer group so that they are able to manage sideline farming finances well so that vegetable farming from their yards can be an alternative source of income for their households. The results of the service program show that they are very enthusiastic and there is a change in their mindset in utilizing their yard as an alternative source of income. Abstract

The objectives of the study were to train clove farmers group about the post-harvest handling system in order to produce essential oils with export quality, to train clove farmers group in terms of essential oil processing system as well as to encourage clove farmers group to apply appropriate technology for processing of clove essential oil with export quality. In general, the main and most common problems faced by clove farmers are inadequate system of clove essential oil processing system, the handling system and equipment used are not up to standard, moreover, the technology used in handling, durability, and package of clove essential oils still very limited. The approaches offered and agreed by the clove farmer group are as follow: (1) General approach, (2) Determination of training participants, (3) Types and procedures of training (training strategy), and (4) Scale of the program. The expected targets and outcomes of this community service program are: Farmer groups are able to apply appropriate technology in the production of clove essential oil, both to post-harvest handling, processing and storage of clove essential oils to obtain added value. In fact, knowledge of farmers about post-harvest handling and processing technology of clove essential oil to increase farmer's income is still very poor. The results of analysis of essential oil clove processing showed that the clove leaves utilization as an effort to create an added value of farmer’s income by Rp. 13,000,000 per production unit. The difference in selling price between the dried clove leaves and processed clove leaves into essential oil was Rp. 10,765,000. Comparative test (t-test) showed that t-count value for selling dried clove leaves was 16,068 while clove leaves processed into essential oil was 35,108. The t-table value of 1,675 indicated that t count t table where H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. It concludes that there is a comparative income of farmer who sells dried clove leaves and farmers who sell clove leaves in the form of essential oils.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Identify the price data pattern of Curly Red Chili and red chilies in Kolaka Regency; 2) Obtain the best time series forecasting method for forecasting the price of Curly Red Chili and ordinary red chilies in Kolaka Regency; 3) Get a forecast for the price of Curly Red Chili and regular red chilies for the coming year. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, the source of the data in this study is secondary data obtained from the office of industry and trade, Kolaka district. The data analysis method used is the time series forecasting method.The results showed that: 1) The results of the identification of data patterns on the plot of price data for Curly Red Chili and common red chilies in Kolaka Regency in 2015-2019 obtained a seasonal pattern. 2) The results of the application of the time series forecasting method for the price of curly red chilies, obtained the best time series forecasting method, namely the box-jenkins method of the SARIMA (1,0,0) (2,0,0) 12 model with the smallest MSE value, namely MSE = 41,534 590 While for the price of ordinary red chilies, the best time series forecasting method is the box-jenkins method of the SARIMA (1,0,0) (1,0,0) 12 model with the smallest MSE value, namely MSE = 44,764,512. 3) The results of forecasting the price of Curly Red Chili using the box-jenkins method SARIMA (1,0,0) (2,0,0) 12 with the help of the MINITAB 19 program is the highest price of IDR 47,355.4 / Kg which occurred in August 2020 and the lowest price is IDR 23,169 / Kg which occurred in January 2020, while the average price of Curly Red Chili in 2020 is IDR 32,487.3 / Kg. While the results of forecasting the price of ordinary red chilies using the box-jenkins method with the SARIMA (1,0,0) (1,0,0) 12 model with the help of the MINITAB 19 program is the highest price of Rp. 32,967.8 / Kg which occurred in August. 2020 and the lowest price is IDR 16,756.4 / Kg which occurred in December 2020, while the average price of ordinary red chili in 2020 is IDR 23,346.27 / Kg.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on fisheries sector, including the export fishery business. Tanggetada Subdistrict, located in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, is one of the suppliers of export fishery commodities through Makassar City in South Sulawesi Province. The analytical method used is a different test of costs, revenues, and income in the export fishery business before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The selected sample is four export fishery business actors using purposive sampling. The data used are primary data in the form of export fishery business data from each respondent gathered from interviews through questionnaires. While secondary data is supporting data from the Central Statistics Agency, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries as well as several research results on the topic of scientific journals. The data then were analyzed using income analysis, which was carried out with a different test using the SPSS application. The results of the analysis of the different tests (paired sample t-test) show that there are significant differences in the income level of the export fishery of the four entrepreneurs before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify all possible risks faced by the rice agroindustry in Kolaka Regency regarding the supply chain system. This study was a descriptive type of agroindustry in Kolaka. The results of this study were the risks faced by the rice agroindustry in terms of the supply chain and found several sources of risk factors that impact business risk. The supply chain system in the rice agroindustry consisted of 2 groups: the flow of suppliers of raw materials (grain) and the flow of product distribution (rice). The flow of raw material suppliers (grain) was dominated by grain collectors, with a market share of 60% of the total volume of yearly purchases. Meanwhile, wholesalers dominate the distribution of products (rice) and have a share of 65% of the total annual sales volume. Supply chain flows resulted in potential business risks. Identifying sources of business risk in the rice agroindustry was in the supply/procurement, transportation, storage, and processing of raw materials
