Abstract

Akuaponik merupakan sistem pertanian terintegrasi, yang menggabungkan akuakultur dan hidroponik dalam sebuah sirkulasi tertutup. Sistem ini memanfaatkan limbah nitrogen dari ikan yang diubah oleh bakteri menjadi unsur hara bagi tanaman, yang pada gilirannya menyaring air untuk dikembalikan ke kolam ikan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prospek, inovasi terkini, dan tantangan dalam budidaya pertanian secara akuaponik, khususnya dalam aspek kinerja biologis, integrasi teknologi, dan kelayakan ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian komprehensif terhadap berbagai hasil penelitian terdahulu yang membahas komponen sistem, pemilihan spesies, manajemen nutrisi, serta implementasi teknologi seperti Internet of Things (IoT). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa integrasi sensor dan mikrokontroler memungkinkan pemantauan dan kontrol parameter kunci (seperti pH, suhu, amonia) secara real-time, yang sangat meningkatkan efisiensi dan stabilitas sistem. Secara biologis, larutan nutrisi dari sistem akuaponik yang diperkaya atau complemented aquaponic (CAP) dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman, seperti selada, hingga 39% lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan sistem hidroponik konvensional, yang diduga akibat adanya senyawa organik dan mikroba yang merangsang pertumbuhan (PGPR). Namun demikian, profitabilitas sangat bergantung pada skala ekonomi dan strategi pemasaran, sedangkan diversifikasi produk olahan seperti fillet juga dapat meningkatkan Return on Investment (ROI). Tantangan utama ke depan adalah pengelolaan nutrisi, khususnya pendaurulangan fosfor dan kalium dari lumpur padat melalui teknologi mineralisasi yang efisien untuk mencapai sistem yang benar-benar berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Local coffee micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Karang Sidemen Village, Central Lombok Regency, have significant development potential; however, they still face challenges related to marketing practices and limited value addition. Conventional marketing systems restrict market reach and reduce product competitiveness. In the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0, digital marketing offers a strategic opportunity for MSMEs to enhance product promotion and sales performance. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of local coffee MSMEs through the implementation of social media–based digital marketing strategies. A participatory approach was employed, actively involving MSME actors and students through stages of problem identification, program planning, training and hands-on digital marketing practices, and evaluation. The results demonstrated an improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in utilizing social media as a promotional tool, as reflected by the initiative to develop and publish promotional video content for local coffee products, including the flagship Versilia coffee variant. The use of visual content and storytelling facilitated the practical adoption of digital marketing strategies. Overall, this program contributed to shifting marketing behavior from conventional to digital approaches and strengthening the sustainable competitiveness of local coffee MSMEs.

Abstract

In Indonesia has a diverse agroecosystem that plays a crucial role as biological and physical capital for sustainable agriculture. Cilembu sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) is a superior commodity with high economic value, characterized by its distinctive sweet taste, caramel aroma, and soft texture. The main challenge in its cultivation is maintaining productivity and organoleptic quality sustainably. This study reviews the literature on legume intercropping strategies (peanuts, soybeans, sengon, lamtoro) to increase productivity, organoleptic quality, and appetite under various soil-climate conditions. One strategy is an intercropping system with nitrogen-fixing legumes, which not only improves sweet potato growth and yield but also improves land use efficiency, soil fertility, and ecosystem sustainability. Organic fertilization integrated with legume residues improves nitrogen and potassium availability, thus supporting sugar accumulation, tuber aroma, and texture. The effectiveness of this system is strongly influenced by agroecosystem suitability, including soil type and texture, elevation, temperature, and rainfall patterns. A site-specific approach is needed to maximize plant interactions, nutrient balance, and organoleptic quality. Standardized productivity and organoleptic quality assessments are essential to ensure that ecological intensification through intercropping and organic fertilization results in a productive, environmentally friendly agricultural system that maintains the unique honey flavor of Cilembu sweet potatoes.
