Abstract

Pengeringan secara konvensional masih banyak kekurangan, salah satunya sangat tergantung dengan cuaca. Sehingga perlu dilakukan suatu penanganan alternatif yaitu dengan menggunakan alat pengering mekanis menggunakan tambahan panas dan memerlukan energi untuk memanaskan bahan dan menguapkam air yaitu dengan menggunkan alat pengering seperti alat pengering tipe rak. Penelitian ini fokus pada penentuan konstanta laju pengeringan manisan pepaya baik hasil eksperimen ataupun prediksi menggunakan pengering tipe rak yang diberikan blower. Variabel yang digunakan adalah kecepatan aliran udara blower 3.43 m/detik dan 4.55 m/detik. Diperoleh hasil bahwa konstanta laju pengeringan prediksi memiliki nilai determinansi mencapai lebih dari 90% dengan nilai RMSE sangat kecil, masing-masing 0.065 dan 0.125. Penggunaan kecepatan aliran udara tidak terlalu mempengaruhi nilai konstanta laju pengeringan.

Abstract

The ability to read in English as a foreign language is very important for senior high school because it will affect their productive skills such as writing and speaking. The objective of this research was to present the profiles of metacognitive reading strategies of successful and unsuccessful EFL learners of high school at SMA Negeri 1 Pamboang. The address of reading strategies is expected to provide useful information both for students and teachers secondary school. At least, the information about strategies can improve the quality of education especially in teaching reading as a core subject. The current study reports an investigation of EFL learners profiles of metacognitive reading strategies in Indonesian context. This exploratory paradigm was an attempt to reveal what level of metacognitive awareness of both successful and unsuccessful learners at the senior high school level. The study was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Pamboang, Majene Regency and employed quantitative and qualitative methods. Using purposive sampling method, seventy-two (72) EFL learners filled in the MARSI questionnaire (Metacognitive Awareness Reading Strategy Inventory) by Mokhtari & Reichard (2002) to deal with the metacognitive part. 20 samples from seventy-two participants were selected to participate in interview session. The former employed statistical tool (SPSS 22) to reveal the level of learners’ metacognitive awareness. The statistical analysis indicated high level of metacognitive of awareness in all sub-scales (Global Strategy, M=3.59, SD=0.56, Support Strategy, M=3.51, SD=0.77, Problem Solving Strategy, M=3.77, SD=0.65) for the successful group. The unsuccessful group, on the other hand, indicated medium level on both Global and Support Strategy (M=3.16, SD=0.60, M=3.06, SD=0.49) with the exception of Problem Solving Strategy with a high level of awareness (M=3.58, SD=0.55). Interviews showed that many students, especially unsuccessful learners, have a clear purpose when reading but when they did not understand they choose to discuss with friends. This finding warranted the need for the design of strategy training with the focus on strategy consolidation to make these learners employ these existing strategies in more productive and efficient manner.

Abstract

Transfusi darah dapat memberikan reaksi imunologis. Yang paling sering adalah reaksi transfusi terkait pecahnya sel darah(hemolitik) akibat tidak terdapatnya antibodi. Anti serum (Ab) yang disarankan saat ini untuk mendeteksi keberadaan antigen sel darahmerah yaitu ABO, Rhesus dan Kell. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui genotipe pasien Rhesus dan Kell dengan reaksi transfusi,menggunakan metode potong lintang di 35 subjek yang mengalami reaksi transfusi pada masa waktu antara bulan Juni–Agustus 2015di RS. Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. Semua sampel diperiksakan antigen Rhesus dan Kell menggunakan sampel darah pasienyang ada di Bank Darah RS. Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo. Subjek penelitian rerata berumur 49,91 tahun dan sebagian besar berjeniskelamin perempuan (71,43%). Golongan darah yang paling banyak mengalami reaksi transfusi adalah golongan darah O (54,29%).Semua sampel adalah Rhesus positif (100%). Antigen D (100%), C (62,86%), c (40%), E (57,14%) dan e (91,43%). Antigen Kell diperolehK (8,57%) dan k (91,43%). Dari semua sampel sebagian besar antigen yang didapatkan adalah antigen D dan e, serta k.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sistem kontrol pengendalian suhu ruang pengering hybrid tipe rak berputar berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Mega, dan melakukan uji kinerja terhadap sistem yang dirancang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan percobaan di Laboratorium Daya dan Mesin Pertanian Fakultas Teknologi Pangan dan Agroindustri Universitas Mataram. Data yang dihasilkan kemudian dianalisa menggunakan aplikasi Mc. Excel. Hasil kalibrasi sensor suhu DS18B20 dengan termometer digital menunjukkan persamaan linieritas pada air hangat didapatkan  R2=0,999 dan air dingin R2=0,926. Hasil pengujian pada perlakuan tanpa bahan dan menggunakan bahan memperlihatkan sistem dapat bekerja dengan baik. Hal ini dilihat dari hasil pembacaan sensor suhu yang direspon oleh kondisi kipas pembuang panas dan penghembus panas. Nilai konsumsi daya listrik yang dibutuhkan oleh kipas sebesar 13,57 Watt dan untuk kebutuhan arus listrik sebesar 0,062 A.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati perubahan karakteristik bahan hasil pertanian yang disimpan pada penyimpanan suhu rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperi mental dengan tiga perlakuan penyimpanan, yaitu penyimpanan cool box, penyimpanan dengan pengemas polietilen dan penyimpanan pada suhu ruang. Digunakan tiga macam buah sebagai obyek penelitian, yaitu buah manggis, alpukat, dan jambu biji. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu kadar air, susut bobot, laju respirasi, indeks warna, dan nilai GMD. Penurunan nilai kekerasan ketiga jenis buah pada penyimpanan cool box lebih rendah dari penyimpanan pengemas polietylen dan penyimpanan suhu ruang. Terjadi perubahan warna buah selama penyimpanan dimana perubahan terendah pada penyimpanan cool box dan perubahan tertinggi pada penyimpanan suhu ruang untuk semua jenis buah. Kata kunci: manggis, alpukat, jambu biji, penyimpanan, suhu rendah

Abstract

Abstract: Error Analysis In The Indonesian Language In Students’ Thesis Of Information System Of Study Program At Kharisma Makassar. The research aims at describing the Indonesian language errors in the students’ thesis of information system study program. The population was the students’ thesis of information system study program at Kharisma Makassar consisting of 486 theses. The sample taken was 50 theses. Based on the findings, the research can be concluded that the language errors found in the students’ thesis of information system study program at Kharisma Makassar were the use of capital letters, italics, and punctuation. In addition, the language errors in using words, constructing sentence, making paragraph were also found. The most errors were the use of italics (98%), whereas the fewest errors were the form of paragraph (16%).

Abstract

Onion (Allium ascalonicum, L.) is one horticulture commodity that is widely cultivated by Indonesian society. There are many benefits that can be drawn from the onion and high economic value of these vegetables make farmers in various regions interested to cultivate them to earn huge profits. Purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of heat energy in the drying process of onions. Method used in this research was experimental methods by using Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) dryer for drying onion. This dryer utilizes solar energy as the only source of heat to raise temperature of the material in the drying process. On the first experimental stage (without materials) the highest temperature inside the dryer was 52°C and the lowest was 27°C, while the maximum temperature in the environment was 34°C and the minimum was 25°C. The average temperature difference between the dryer and the environment was 14°C with average solar radiation of 445 W/m². On the experiment using materials, the average temperature of the dryer during 4 days, the lowest was 37.75°C and the highest was 51.75° C; whereas the lowest and the highest environment temperature respectively was 25.8°C and 37.0°C. The average light intensity was 545 W/m², with average total amount of solar energy received was 2,227,262.7 kJ and the average drying efficiency was 39.9%.
