Abstract

Anxiety levels during pregnancy can fluctuate as in the first trimester, anxiety begins to occur, then decreases in the second trimester, and increases again in the third trimester. Anxiety during pregnancy until the third trimester if not addressed immediately will have an impact on fetal growth and development, increase in MMR (Maternal Mortality Rate) and IMR (Infant Mortality Rate), can cause premature birth, low birth weight (LBW), old age labor, as well as mental and motor disorders of children. Anxiety due to pregnancy tends to often occur in primigravida due to pregnancy and childbirth because they have never experienced something similar. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between participation in pregnancy exercise and anxiety levels in third trimester primigravida mothers at IPM (Independent Practice Midwife) Widiasih, Batubulan region, Gianyar in the face of childbirth. This research uses analytical research method with cross sectional study design. Sampling in this study using accidental sampling technique and total sampling method. The sample consisted of 55 third trimester primigravida mothers who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data collection instrument used the HARS (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety) questionnaire via the google form link. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results obtained in this study were that there was a relationship between participation in pregnancy exercise and the level of anxiety in third trimester primigravida mothers at BPM (Independent Practice Midwife) Widiasih, Batubulan, Gianyar

Abstract

Medical education is constantly evolving to suit the needs of students, faculty, and society. With the development of Miller's pyramid theory, since the mid-20th century Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) has become an assessment standard to measure the improvement of clinical skills in medical training. OSCE is an evaluation method to assess clinical skills in medical undergraduate stage in a structured manner, which tests several aspects, namely knowledge, psychomotor, and attitude aspects. Clinical reasoning ability is one of the indicators that can be seen in the Grade Point Average (GPA). The cognitive aspect includes all knowledge gained through lectures, self-study activities, and group discussions. This aspect is tested with a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) in the exam at the end of the block. It is still unknown whether OSCE scores can reflect students' clinical reasoning skills, because only a few studies have explained the effectiveness of OSCE to evaluate medical students' clinical reasoning skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between GPA and comprehensive OSCE scores in 105 students of class 2018 of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University. The results showed that most students had a GPA> 3.50 and OSCE scores of 80.00 - 100.00. Bivariate analysis showed a strong relationship between GPA and Comprehensive OSCE scores with a correlation coefficient of 0.796.

Abstract

Significant advancements have been made in the fields of technology, information, and communication throughout this millennium, particularly in the use of social media. The increased use of social media has led to addiction among adolescents, which affects their sleep quality, especially among university students. This study aims to evaluate the respondents' profiles, sleep quality, level of social media dependency, and the relationship between excessive social media use and sleep quality among students of Warmadewa University from the 2021 cohort. An analytical study with a cross-sectional design was employed. The research was conducted at Warmadewa University over a period of four months. A total of 387 participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 27 with Chi-square tests. The findings showed that the majority of respondents were 21 years old (39.0%), female (58.9%), and predominantly from the Faculty of Engineering and Planning (21.7%). Regarding sleep quality, most respondents had good sleep quality (77.0%). The level of social media addiction was dominated by the mild category (74.7%), followed by severe (15.8%) and moderate (9.6%) categories. The correlation analysis revealed a significant relationship between social media addiction and sleep quality (p < 0.05).

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is one of the highest in the world. According to WHO, in 2017, 830 mothers in the world died due to complications that occurred during pregnancy and childbirth. One of the main factors causing maternal death according to WHO are prolonged labor. This research determine the differences in anxiety levels of mothers in the first stage of latent phase labor at the Mangusada Hospital after administering classical music distraction. Through this research, we can also determine the level of anxiety among mothers giving birth at the Mangusada Hospital using the PRAQ-R2 instrument which is valid and reliable. This research design uses quantitative research methods with an experimental and one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this study was all women giving birth in the first stage of the latent phase at the Mangusada Hospital from July to September with a total of 40 people. Univariate analysis showed that the majority of mothers were 25 years old, primiparous, with a gestational age of 38 weeks. Then the difference anxiety level measured using a non-parametric test, namely Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Wilcoxon showed a significant reduction in anxiety levels in mothers in the first stage of labor after being given treatment. This is proven by the value p < 0.001. Based on the results of the analysis, there were differences in the anxiety levels of mothers in the first stage of latent phase labor at the Mangusada Hospital after giving classical music distraction techniques.
