Abstract

The DPRD's supervision of the BPK Audit Report (LHP) is an essential element in the regional financial accountability system. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of technical guidance (Bimtek) in enhancing the understanding of DPRD members regarding their supervisory role with the BPK LHP. This community service activity was conducted from June 27 to 30, 2025, involving 30 members of the DPRD. The method employed is a participatory approach, incorporating lectures, group discussions, and case studies. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the DPRD supervision mechanism, from an average pre-test score of 65.2 to 84.7 in the post-test. The evaluation also showed that 87% of participants felt more confident in analyzing BPK's LHP after participating in technical guidance. This activity successfully increased the capacity of DPRD members to carry out a more effective supervisory function over regional financial management.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the application of the philosophy of science as a foundation for educational decision-making at SDN 116/VI Pulau Rengas Ulu, Merangin Regency, Jambi. The research aims to describe how ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions of the philosophy of science influence the school's decision-making process in the areas of curriculum, learning, and school management. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, direct observation of school activities, and documentation analysis. The results indicate that the principal and teachers at SDN 116/VI Pulau Rengas Ulu have implicitly applied philosophical thinking in their daily decision-making, although awareness of its epistemological basis remains limited. Decisions tend to rely on practical experience and collegial deliberation rather than on systematic evidence. This study recommends that capacity-building programs be designed to strengthen the epistemological awareness of school leaders and teachers as part of improving the quality of educational governance at the primary school level.

Abstract

Epistemology is a branch of philosophy that examines the nature, sources, validity, and limitations of human knowledge. In education, epistemology provides a philosophical foundation for the development and validation of educational knowledge. This study aims to analyze the role of epistemology in educational knowledge development, identify the sources and criteria of scientific knowledge, explore major epistemological paradigms, and examine their relevance to Deep Learning and educational research. Using a library research approach, data were collected from books, scientific journals, and other relevant academic sources and analyzed through descriptive qualitative methods. The findings show that educational knowledge originates from empirical experience, reason, intuition, authority, and revelation. Scientific knowledge in education must meet the criteria of rationality, objectivity, empiricism, systematic organization, verifiability, and communicability. Furthermore, epistemological paradigms, including empiricism, rationalism, criticism, and constructivism, have significantly influenced learning theories and research methodologies. The study also reveals that Deep Learning aligns closely with constructivist epistemology, emphasizing learners’ active role in constructing knowledge through meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning experiences. Therefore, understanding epistemology is essential for educators and researchers in producing valid, relevant, and accountable educational knowledge and supporting the implementation of Deep Learning in contemporary education.

Abstract

The philosophy of science plays a fundamental role in forming a critical, systemic, and ethical framework for educational management. This study aims to analyze the nature and scope of the philosophy of science within the context of educational management, specifically focusing on the dimensions of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The research utilizes a literature review methodology, examining various academic sources published between 2023 and 2026 accessed via Google Scholar and Garuda. The findings indicate that the nature of the philosophy of science in educational management establishes the foundational purpose and essence of educational systems, preventing them from becoming purely mechanistic. Its scope encompasses the critical evaluation of knowledge sources (epistemology), understanding the reality of organizational structures (ontology), and applying ethical and moral values in educational leadership and policy-making (axiology). Ultimately, integrating philosophical principles enables educational managers to formulate policies grounded in scientific truth and ethical considerations, navigating dynamic social and technological transformations effectively.
