Abstract

Laboratory data archives represent an essential form of dynamic records that support scientific accountability and healthcare decision-making. This study aims to analyze differences in direct bilirubin levels among individuals with and without a history of alcohol consumption based on laboratory data archives. The research employed an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach supported by archival data analysis. The data were obtained from laboratory examination records and respondent information. The results showed that individuals with a history of alcohol consumption had higher direct bilirubin levels compared to non-consumers. From an archival perspective, properly managed laboratory records enable systematic, accurate, and traceable data analysis. However, inconsistencies in documentation may affect data quality. This study highlights the importance of strengthening laboratory archival systems to ensure reliable health data and support evidence-based decision-making.

Abstract

The implementation of archival classification code standards is essential in ensuring effective records management within public institutions, including hospitals. This study aims to analyze the application of archival classification codes in managing official correspondence at a Provincial Hospital in West Nusa Tenggara. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach based on document analysis and archival practices. The results indicate that the application of classification codes has not been fully standardized, leading to inconsistencies in document organization and retrieval. From an archival perspective, proper classification systems enhance efficiency, accountability, and accessibility of records. However, limitations in human resources and lack of standardization guidelines hinder optimal implementation. This study highlights the importance of strengthening archival management systems to support administrative effectiveness and information governance.

Abstract

Hospitals generate a large volume of archives daily, particularly patient medical records, laboratory results, radiology reports, and administrative documents. The increasing volume of these archives poses challenges to conventional storage systems, such as limited physical space, risk of damage, data loss, and slow document retrieval processes. To address these issues, many hospitals are transitioning to cloud computing-based archiving systems. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of cloud-based archiving systems at RSUD Kota Mataram in terms of access speed, data security, cost efficiency, and compliance with medical record regulations. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a field study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation studies. The findings are expected to provide insights into the benefits and challenges of implementing cloud archiving systems as a basis for decision-making for hospital management.

Abstract

Digital transformation in archives management at Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) is a crucial step in supporting government policies regarding electronic-based government systems and improving the quality of healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the transition process from a conventional paper-based archiving system to a paperless office ecosystem. The main focus of the study includes information technology infrastructure readiness, human resource (HR) competency in operating the hospital information system (SIMRS), and managerial obstacles encountered during the digitalization process. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through field observations and current literature reviews. The results show that implementing digital archives significantly reduces medical record retrieval time by up to 70%, minimizes the risk of damage to physical documents due to environmental factors, and optimizes physical storage space in the hospital. However, major challenges lie in standardizing data security (cybersecurity) and data integration between service units. The study concludes that successfully moving towards a paperless office requires synergy between appropriate technology investments, strong internal regulations, and an organizational culture that adapts to digital change.

Abstract

possess historical, cultural, and informational value. Along with the development of archival science, the concept of archives has expanded beyond administrative records to include various records of human activities that hold authentic and long-term value. This article aims to examine the fundamental concepts of art archives, ephemera, and cultural heritage, as well as to explain the relationship among these three elements from an archival perspective. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected from relevant scholarly articles and analyzed through identification, classification, comparison, and synthesis of previous research findings. The results indicate that art archives and ephemera constitute significant components of cultural heritage due to their informational, evidential, historical, and cultural values, making systematic management essential. Furthermore, digitalization has become an important strategy for supporting preservation efforts and improving public access to cultural archives in the digital era. Therefore, archival management supported by standardized description, digital technology, and collaboration among archives, museums, libraries, and cultural institutions is essential to ensure the sustainability of information and the preservation of cultural heritage for future generations.
