Abstract

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) is a deviant behavior that is not in accordance with the norms in society. Nursing students as prospective nurses will deal with a variety of patients including LGBT patients so it is necessary to have a negative perception of LGBT that does not justify LGBT but does not counter LGBT excessively which triggers the tendency to behave discriminatory towards LGBT. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of nursing students about LGBT. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with propotionate stratified random sampling technique on a sample of 302 nursing students from 2019 to 2022. The instrument used was the perception of LGBT questionnaire with the validity test value of the calculated r value (0.30-0.67) ≥ r table (0.23) and the reliability test value of the Cronbach Alpha coefficient ≥ 0.632 with the result of 0.819. Data analysis using univariate techniques. The results showed 54.6% of students had a very negative perception and 0.3% were very positive. This means that most respondents view LGBT as a health problems and deviation. Abstract

Background: Nurses are among the most vulnerable professions to stress. Workload and work environment are among the primary causes of stress for nurses in various care units. This not only affects their well-being but also impacts the quality of care provided to patients. Resilience helps nurses adapt, endure, and recover from challenging and high-pressure situations. High resilience can enhance job satisfaction and reduce the negative effects of work-related stress. V    Purpose: To identify the resilience of inpatient, emergency department (ED), and intensive care unit (ICU) nurses in carrying out their daily duties. Method: A descriptive quantitative design with the nursing population at RSUD Umar Wirahadikusumah. The sampling technique used is disproportionate stratified sampling, with a total sample consisting of 38 Emergency Department (ED) nurses, 31 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses, and 144 inpatient ward nurses. The study utilizes the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD RISC-25) in the Indonesian language. Data analysis is conducted using univariate analysis. Results: This study shows that less than half of the nurses working in the inpatient, emergency department (ED), and intensive care unit (ICU) have moderate resilience (43.7%), while 31.5% have low resilience, and only a small percentage (24.9%) demonstrate high resilience. The lowest resilience aspect among inpatient, emergency department (ED), and ICU nurses is the coping aspect. Conclusion: Most nurses in the inpatient unit, emergency department (ED), and ICU have a moderate to low level of resilience, with coping being the lowest resilience aspect.   Keywords: Emergency Department; Intensive Care Unit (ICU); Inpatient Unit; Nurse; Resilience.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The causes of SOL vary, namely all that can cause expansion of the volume of intracranial fluid and then cause an increase in intracranial pressure. The symptoms experienced by patients with SOL depend on the location of the lesions found in the brain. Treatment that must be given to SOL patients must be done as early as possible with the aim of facilitating treatment; if not treated immediately, it can worsen the patient's condition. The nursing problem associated with SOL is the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion. There are nursing interventions that can be applied to reduce this ineffective cerebral perfusion problem, one of which is a 30° head-up. The purpose of writing this case study is to find out how nursing management can be used to overcome the problem of ineffective cerebral perfusion disorders in SOL patients. The method in this research is a case study method, namely by describing cases that are actual and unique about a case. The patient experienced a decrease in consciousness with a GCS score of 3 (coma), and the patient experienced dextra hemiplegia and a rapid movement of the patient's chest. The interventions carried out included monitoring the patient's condition and vital signs. Head-up 30o is done twice a day, namely in the morning and evening, with a duration of approximately 15 minutes. During the 4 days of treatment, cerebral perfusion had improved as seen from the vital signs of the patient, which were starting to stabilize; there was an increase in consciousness; there was an increase in muscle function; and there were no signs of intracranial increaseConclusion: This means that giving Head Up 30o is effectively used in patients with cerebral perfusion disorders and nursing problems. Keywords: Cerebral Perfusion Disorders, Management, SOL  ABSTRAK Penyebab terjadinya SOL bervariasi, yaitu semua yang dapat menimbulkan ekspansi dari volume cairan intrakranial lalu menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan tekanan intrkranial.
