Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat mengakibatkan informasi yang beredar semakin meningkat sehingga banyak terjadinya penumpukan informasi yang dapat mengganggu kegiatan manajemen informasi. Pustakawan perguruan tinggi menghadapi berbagai keilmuan yang komplek sehingga dituntut memiliki kemampuan Personal Information Management (PIM) dengan tepat terutama dalam mengelola informasi digital di perpustakaan agar mudah ditemukan dan digunakan kembali dalam waktu mendatang. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Personal Information Management (PIM) pustakawan dalam mengelola informasi digital di Perpustakaan Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengambilan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pustakawan Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang telah melakukan aktivitas Personal Information Management (PIM) pada informasi digital di perpustakaan seperti e-journal, e-book, repository, OPAC, dan penerbitan perpustakaan. Serangkaian aktivitas Personal Information Management (PIM) yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang mulai dari penemuan informasi, penyimpanan dan pengelolaan informasi seperti pemberian nama dan pengelompokkan pada informasi digital, dan tingkatan meta seperti pemeliharaan pada informasi digital dengan cara update dan back up. Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi kajian Personal Information Management (PIM), sekaligus bagi pustakawan dan institusi dalam mengelola informasi digital sekaligus mendukung penyebarluasan informasi.

Abstract

Abstract:              The development of information technology (IT) has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, one of which is in the world of education. Information technology plays an important role in improving the quality of communication in educational institutions by accelerating the flow of information, expanding the reach of communication, and increasing interactivity between related parties, such as educators, students, and parents. This study aims to analyze the role of information technology in supporting the effectiveness of communication in educational institutions. The methods used are literature reviews and observations of the implementation of communication technology in several educational institutions. The results of the study show that the use of digital platforms, learning management applications, and social media can accelerate the process of delivering information, facilitate two-way communication, and increase collaboration between teachers, students, and parents. In addition, the use of technology can also enrich learning resources, support distance learning, and facilitate more transparent and accountable learning evaluations. In conclusion, information technology has a strategic role in improving the quality of communication in educational institutions, which ultimately contributes to improving the quality of education itself.

Abstract

Stock return is one of the motivations for investors to invest. When investing, investors must analyze various sources, such as financial reports, and be aware of market information that can enrich their decision-making process. This research was conducted using a sample of the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2021. This study aims to determine the simultaneous and partial effects of market ratios (earnings per share, price-earnings ratio, dividend yield) and market information (market capitalization and trading volume) on stock returns in food and beverage sub-sector companies, which play an important role in economic growth. The study utilizes the panel data regression method and a non-probability sampling technique, with a total sample size of 60 data points. The results showed that the variables earnings per share, price-earnings ratio, dividend yield, market capitalization, and trading volume had a simultaneous positive effect on stock returns in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the IDX for the 2019-2021 period. Partially, the variables earnings per share, price-earnings ratio, market capitalization, and trading volume had a positive effect on stock returns. However, dividend yield had no effect on stock returns.

Abstract

This article discusses the urgency of integrating professional ethics in Information Technology (IT)based on Islamic education in vocational schools (SMK). The study aims to assess the influence of Islamic education on shaping professional ethics within the IT field. Using a qualitative approach, data is collected from teachers and curriculum experts and analyzed to explore the integration of ethics in IT education. The findings reveal that Islamic education contributes significantly to ethical behaviour in IT practices, promoting honesty, integrity, and accountability. The study suggests enhancing the curriculum by incorporating Islamic values better to prepare students for ethical challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovation in New Student Admission Management (PPDB) at As-Syifa Boarding School Subang. The research focuses on the application of information technology and digital systems as modern approaches to the PPDB process. The utilization of technology has proven to enhance the efficiency of the admission process by saving time and resources while reducing the risk of manual errors. Furthermore, improved transparency and accessibility at every stage of the admission process have been achieved, offering a more positive experience for prospective students and their parents. To reach prospective students from various regions across Indonesia and even abroad, As-Syifa effectively implements paid promotion strategies. Promotions are conducted through various popular social media platforms. Creative promotional content successfully captures the attention of the target audience. This strategy is supported by local and international networks, broadening the scope of promotion and strengthening the institution's image. A rigorous selection process is applied to ensure that only students meeting high passing scores are admitted, with consideration of academic achievements, character values, and leadership potential. This study concludes that innovations in PPDB management, through the use of information technology and effective promotional strategies, have a significant impact on improving the quality of prospective student admissions.

Abstract

The era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 stimulates the application of big data in various sectors, including education, to support better decision-making and improve service quality. At the Vocational High School (SMK) level, big data has great potential to help schools adapt to changing industry needs, especially regarding graduates who are competent in technology and information. This research aims to examine the implementation and development of big data information systems at Nurul Jadid Vocational School to improve the quality of education. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that applying big data at Nurul Jadid Vocational School supports improving the quality of education by making it easier to manage student and teacher data, monitor learning achievements, and develop student competencies. This research produces findings: a). Digitalization and Management of Academic Data at Nurul Jadid Vocational School b) Collaboration with other industries c). Nurul Jadid Vocational School Digital Library. It is hoped that this research will become a reference for other vocational education institutions that wish to utilize big data technology to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Public relations is a strategic aspect in strengthening the image of educational institutions, including MAN Insan Scholar Paser. However, public relations management often faces challenges related to the efficiency and effectiveness of information delivery. Information technology offers solutions to optimize this process through various applications and digital platforms. This research aims to analyze the use of information technology in public relations at MAN Insan Scholar Paser, with a focus on efficiency in the use of resources and effectiveness in reaching and satisfying stakeholders. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations and document analysis, which were then analyzed descriptively. The research results show that the application of information technology in the public relations sector has increased efficiency, especially in terms of time and operational costs. The effectiveness of communication has also increased, as shown by increased stakeholder satisfaction and the achievement of public relations goals, such as the rapid and transparent dissemination of information. However, several technical obstacles and training needs are still challenges that need to be considered. This research confirms that information technology has a significant role in supporting the public relations function in educational institutions, as long as it is supported by adequate infrastructure and human resource capacity development

Abstract

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play an important role in the development of mobile-based land mapping applications in Rembang Sub-district. This research aims to assist farmers in filing documents related to farmer data and land geospatial data, supporting more effective and integrated land management. This application is designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of land mapping and facilitate farmers in managing their farms digitally. The method used in this research is the waterfall method, which involves observations and interviews with farmers as the main users to ensure the application fits the field needs and land conditions. Geospatial data collection is done with GIS technology to reduce data entry errors that often occur in manual methods. Implementation was done with PHP Native & Kotlin programming language, using Visual Studio & Android Studio Code development tools and MySQL for database. Testing was carried out using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with the UAT results reaching a satisfaction level of 88.75%. The app enables more effective data management, including geospatial information and relevant farmer data for sustainable farmland monitoring. Research shows that the app improves the efficiency of land mapping and strengthens farmers' capacity to adopt modern technology.

Abstract

This study addresses the usability challenges faced by Tadulako University's MBKM & Academic Services Information System (SITAMPAN), developed in response to the Ministry of Education’s Merdeka Belajar - Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative. By applying a structured Design Thinking approach, this research seeks to present a novel solution for enhancing user experience and system usability in educational information systems. Through the System Usability Scale (SUS) and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) evaluations, initial findings indicated a low usability score (SUS: 41.75, grade "F"), categorizing the system as a "Detractor" in the Net Promoter Score (NPS) framework. Following the implementation of user centered design improvements, the SUS score increased substantially to 86.25 ("A" grade), with NPS shifting to a "Promoter" classification, while UEQ scores showed marked improvement across all metrics. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of Design Thinking in systematically addressing and optimizing the user experience, providing valuable insights for future information system developments in educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the optimization of the role of the Protocol and Communication of the Leadership (Prokompim) of the Sikka Regency Secretariat in providing public information services through the Sikka Buletin Facebook account. The focus of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of social media content management and communication strategies to increase public involvement. A qualitative approach is used to describe content management based on observations, interviews, and documentation studies. Data were collected through interviews with the admin of the Sikka Buletin Facebook account and followers as well as analysis of published content. The data analysis technique adopted the Flow Analysis Models of Miles and Huberman, which include data reduction, data presentation, and verification to produce in-depth understanding. The results of the study indicate that although Prokompim has attempted to manage content using the 5W1H elements with a formal but relaxed communication style, there are still challenges in increasing audience engagement. The main findings include low public interaction with posted content and less than optimal time and collaboration in content management. This study recommends a more planned time management strategy, collaboration with related agencies to enrich content, and a focus on audience engagement to strengthen the relationship between the government and the community through social media.
